Great hotel with a friendly staff. Good breakfast and restaurant is offering dining and bar. Refreshing pool and sauna with a steam room. Stayed for one night and came back stayed 2 more. Great views. Relaxing atmosphere.

O Hotel é ótimo. O café da manha é muito bom, mas eles tiram tudo as 10 em ponto, entao, nao atrase. O Spa tb é ótimo, mas nao funciona na segunda. O quarto é espaçoso, silencioso e super escuro. Adoramos

The hotel is right on the lake so you’re treated to simply stunning views. There is also a walking path right out the back door that will take you to an old castle about 20ish min away. The hotel’s pool was closed and it looks like some work is being done around the property before the summer season. The location and value of this hotel can’t be beat. We enjoyed our stay.

Really nice luxury hotel very well located the gym is very dated and could do with a upgrade not enough weights and the bar weights are broken

Overall it is a good hotel with good location. Swimming pool is a bit small though. I went twice, in the evening and the morning, never see any staff there, no water refill nor any safe gard, which is a bit surprising.

Superb location, stunning views from room and reception, excellent service and facilities. Nicolas at the reception made our stay super special, with his great personality. We observed him making each guest feel valued and special. Nothing was too much trouble and a wealth of information was given to us to make the best of our short 2 night stay. Hotel was next to bus stop, and direct access to the lake side promenade too. Room was very clean, very comfortable beds, amazing shower and a fridge. Loved the shutter for windows and the awnings that cover the balcony in sunnier times. Improvement needed: minor maintenance issue of the power plug cube being broken off its stand on one side of the bed and night stand shades need tightening. 2 coffee pods per day for 2 people in a room is not generous at all, especially when you charge Chf 4 per extra capsule. That said, we had an outstanding stay and the only regret was we were not staying longer.

Amazing views in the lobby, I had a room facing away from the lake looking at the town on the mountain and I still enjoyed morning view. Nice spa complex and very nice staff. Definitely recommend.

Comme indiqué dans certaine avis, la chambre (Chambre double Deluxe avec balcon et très vue sur le lac Léman) était un peu "vieillotte" (mais c'est un peu normal puisque l'hôtel qui est un 5* pratique des tarifs d'une 4* ==) 7/10). Par contre les installations annexes (piscine, spa, jacuzzi, terrasse, solarium, 2 bars, 2 restaurants...) sont très biens(9/10)!! Le petit déjeuner est très bon, très variés (9+/10) avec terrasse extérieure et vue sur le lac Léman. Le dîner était très bon également (menu 78€ un peu cher mais les restaurants sont chers en suisse), toujours en terrasse extérieure avec vue sur le lac Léman, donc le cadre valait le prix!! Je recommande vivement cet hôtel pour les personnes allant habituellement dans une 4*

The location is perfect and they have a good underground parking facility. We felt some of the hotel was dated and that also applied to the room. The room was spacious. The staff were very good and the city is right outside the door. We did have a few drinks at the bar but it closed at 11 which seemed odd to us that guests coudlnt get a drink after 11.

I was in many 5 star hotels around the world but this hotel is not one. I was in this hotel almost 50 years ago and then it did look like a 5 star hotel. Nothing in the hotel is updated since 50 years ago. Everything is OLD, except a few paintings and lights. Carpet, curtains, closets, and many more things are dirty. I even complained about the black mold in the shower walls and no one did anything about it. This hotel at most is a 21/2 star. I was told by the manager of the hotel that owners know about the fact that hotel is old but they do not want to upgrade it. This hotel is othing like the pictures you see online.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. the views incredible. The bathroom needed maintenance, every time we had a shower the amount of water that was going out was horrendous, we literally had a small swimming pool in the floor and had to keep putting towels in the floor to be able to use

Facilities were lovely and very clean

We were very well welcomed to the hotel by the reception staff. Our hotel room was pleasing especially the small balcony with the views of the lake and the mountains despite the ongoing building works. The breakfast selection was excellent and the dining room staff have to be mentioned because they exuded warmth and hospitality. Unfortunately our stay was spoilt by the fact that the cleaners forgot to clean our room on two occasions on the first we had to bring it to the attention of housekeeping and only then did it get done late in the afternoon. On the second occasion our room was not cleaned at all and we were in too late to mention it to housekeeping staff so for example beds were not made but more uncomfortably bins were not emptied. When we mentioned it to housekeeping on the day we were checking out house keeping staff said that perhaps it was not done because staff were busy with other rooms and reception made a similar excuse. Whilst that may be the case it does not detract from the fact that we paid the same money for a non-service. Hate to complain because everything else was exemplary but a better system needs to be put in place so that none of your guests are neglected and all of them get the same value for money service.

La stanza aveva una vista ed una terrazza splendidi,tuttavia l'arredamento ed i serramenti sono sicuramente da rimodernare,il bagno aveva una manopola dell'acqua del bidè rotta ed ad ogni uso mi rimaneva in mano,il piano dei lavandini era sbeccato,la parete della doccia/vasca aveva le guarnizioni rotte ed ad ogni doccia l'acqua fuoriusciva sul pavimento e si creava una pozza. Il personale in accoglienza splendido, al ristorante serale scortese e poco professionale.Non mi è piaciuto per nulla. La colazione varia sia dolce che salata ma assolutamente nella media. Personale per la colazione molto cortese e professionale. Ci tornerei?No per il prezzo pagato e per quello che mi hanno offerto in termini di qualità.

Excellent hotel with very good staff, and a very grand lobby and breakfast area. The Sinatra bar has a great comfortable feel, and the roof terrace is a joy. The views of the lake and general ambience are fantastic, especially from the room balcony. Some areas are in need of updating, as is the soundproofing, but didnt detract from our enjoyment. Will definitely return.

Our check in was simple and our room was ready around 1pm which was perfect . Our junior suite was lovely. Would have preferred a separate bedroom but did realise that junior suites normally are just bigger rooms. Balcony was great with fabulous views with the right weather over the lake. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of wardrobe space with hangers and importantly trouser & skirt hangers. Wi fi was great and a very informative desk was very useful. Very happy overall and would definitely return.

Comfortable stay but extremely noisy. We have stayed at the Royal Plaza for the last three years during Montreux Jazz but this year the noise was very much louder and we will probably stay elsewhere next year.

Geräumiges Zimmer mit drei Betten – ideal für Familien. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns in allen Belangen unterstützt – dafür ein besonderer Dank und ein großes Lob. Der Zimmerservice war hervorragend. Beim Frühstück gab es zwei Optionen zur Auswahl – ich empfehle die umfangreichere Variante. Vom Hotel aus ist die Promenade nur wenige Minuten entfernt. Wir kommen gerne zurück.

The hotel was in a good location. Our room nice and spacious with lovely lake views! However the bed was very very hard. This may suit some people, I guess it’s down to personal preference, On checking in to our room, realised our in room safe wasn’t working, we rang reception who sent a member of staff up in a short time, she clarified there was an error with the safe, we were told a technician would sort it the next day. This did not happen, not ideal to have no real secure place for expensive watches and passports!! Wasn’t given any apology or solution either. The real dissatisfaction came on our last evening, when I realised we only had coffee sachets green or camomile tea, I rang reception asking for a couple of English breakfast teabags…. Our flight was very early the next morning, so wouldn’t be having breakfast which we had paid for as part of our holiday package… Reception rang back to tell us we had used our allowance for the room and we would be charged for extra teabags!! Despite not using the coffees sugars or other condiments,, regardless we were told in a rude manner we were t entitled to a couple of teabags. I was pretty disgusted to be honest,, the male staff on shift at that time was very dismissive and unhelpful. ( not all staff were like this tbh) So our 5 o clock start to the day was without a hot drink.. for a 5 star establishment I was very surprised at their treatment and attitude towards hotel clients. The hotel was quite unorganised and chaotic!

A 4.5 rating would be accurate. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. But....the bathroom seemed to need updating....fixtures seemed old and worn. Bed was firm and linens of good quality. View from the patio overlooking Lake Geneva I'm sure would be stunning....in better weather. Some carpeting and public areas in serious need of freshening and/or replacement. Had dinner in the Sinatra bar and the breakfast buffet in the restaurant. Service and food were both excellent...and the areas were very nice. Nice location, and the walk along the lake shore was beautiful.

We are travelling with a service dog. On their website it clearly states that service animals are welcome at no cost. When we checked in one of the ladies in reception was telling the man who was checking me in that I need to pay. When I questioned her she said that you are in Switzerland and the service animals ID is issued in the UK. I said so if someone is disabled in the UK does that mean that they are not in Switzerland? She was incredibly rude. After checking with her manager of course she didn’t charge us. The check in process took around 30 minutes because of this. I also spend my birthday there where I was promised something special for my birthday. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. The whole experience was very disappointing. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times before but this is the first time I felt the need to write a review. When I asked for the manager when I checked out I was told by another lady that there was no manager on site. This was not true the manager was on a break however she lead me to believe that no manager was working on Sunday. I was very disappointed with the whole experience. The staff need training on how to be polite to people and stop mentioning the obvious that we are in Switzerland!!!

Hotel management turnover and summer hire workers always in the industry leave repeat customers without any recognition. Everyone was nice and doing their best to accommodate customers but you beed a workable algorithm for room turnover waiting until 5pm standing in the lobby after a long flight wasn’t my idea of a good time.

Rooms are dirty and tired. Staff unfriendly. Parking charges a surprise. Check in slow. Check out slower.

This was a very nice hotel located in a convenient, beautiful area. So relaxing, I wish we had more time here and would love to come back. I highly recommend the hotel. The staff was also outstanding! Carol

I fully recommended this hotel. I have a fabulous time walking around lake Geneva. The hotel is in prime area, the staff is friendly and professional. It is a 5 star hotel with a reasonable rate.

We had a lovely 3-night stay at the Royal Plaza Montreux. It was an easy walk from the Montreux station (also easy to get a taxi if you have a lot of luggage and don’t want to walk). We walked to the Christmas market, which was wonderful! It was also an easy walk to the shopping district, which had tons of shopping and restaurants. In addition, the bus was super easy to use, goes right by the hotel, and takes you to shopping as well as Chillon castle. The hotel breakfast on the main floor was lovely, with plenty of options. The hot buffet on the lower level was also very good with a ton of options. But perhaps the best thing was the gorgeous view of the lake and the mountains from the hotel lobby!

Would NOT stay at all during Montreaux Jazz festival.Stage and Bands play near room until 3am.Only receive 8 hour of sleep in 2 days, Ask to be removed and wanted extra Charge. DON'T stay during Jazz festival, be regret

Acceptable price for short stay. Majestic views, especially the lake view room. Nothing is close by, but the bus is right in front.

Great location, fantastic views.

Lovely three night stay. Hotel is old school but in a positive way. All the staff are very attentive and helpful. The public areas are immaculately maintained and our room was spotless. The hotel has direct access onto the lakeside promenade. It's a fifteen minute walk into the town centre and about 1 hour walk to Chateau Chllon.

The location was easily walkable, right on the lake and close to the train station (10-15 minute walk). The rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly. The bar was closed while I was there, but the view looked great!

Likes: Room had nice views of Lake Geneva and mountains; Breakfast was very good with a lot of variety. Hotel was close to Bus Stop (but far from train station and main part of town). Needs Improvement: In one room the thermostat did not work properly and was very hot. The other rooms fan was very loud – got a headache from constant noise and needed a Motrin.

På papiret et 5 stjernet hotel - men 4 stjerner er mere på sin plads Hotellet er på mange fronter træt og slidt Morgenmads buffet er absolut ikke overdådig - da vi bestilte en omelet fik vi at vide at det kostede ekstra hvilket normalvis ikke koster ekstra på et 5 stjernet hotel På ankomst dato lørdag den 19/7 2025 var der en privat fest fra kl 17.30 på den udendørs terrasse med ekstremt høj musik til kl 04.00 om natten hvilket vi ikke var blevet adviseret om og da vi boede ovenover fik vi ikke sovet ret meget denne nat Sjovt nok kunne hotellet sende mail om 4 dage før ankomst at der var overskyet vejr med regn men ikke at der blev afholdt en privat fest med meget høj musik Vi vil absolut ikke anbefale dette hotel som ikke lever op til at være et 5 stjernet hotel

Hotel spettacolare al centro di Montreux. Camera vista mare. Junior suite molto bella e spaziosa. Ottima per 3. Colazione molto buona. Personale gentile. Lo consiglio

Reception staff was very hospitable and kind. I'd skip the massage. I got one and it was disappointing. Property is older but still nice. The breakfast was expensive to add on to our stay and when i looked at the spread in the morning i was so glad i didn't add it on. Just basic underwhelming stuff. Room was decent.
