Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Albuquerque East I-40 Eubank Exit

We stay here traveling back and forth between Texas to visit family. It's clean. Reliable. Walking distance to Applebee's and a Petco. We stay with our medium sized dog. It's not a completely fenced parking lot but there are always spaces right up front. We've never had a problem. In past days there has been homeless people. On this day perhaps because it was hot and summer there were no homeless. I recommend this hotel if you need just an overnight stay while you're traveling.

My only complaint about the hotel was that there wasn't an elevator. I was staying for a week and had my work computer and a bunch of food and supplies. I had to make 3 trips up the stairs to bring everything up and take everything down. Other than that, the Internet worked very well, I didn't have any connection issues that prevented me from getting any work done during the week. Even my meetings via Teams were crisp and without disruptions.

Very thin walls. Dingy and a little old. Musty. There are several low-cost hotels in this block, and this is the only one where the parking lot doesn't encircle the building, making it possible to park without backing up. If you are towing a trailer and aren't good at backing up in a confined area, you might have to park out on the street (that was one of their suggestions).

This is my go to hotel when I’m in this part of Abq now. The folks that run it are super nice. The rooms are always clean and there’s plenty of parking.

Simple clean hotel with a limited breakfast service. We went for the balloon fiesta and it met our needs without having to overspend. Overall clean except for the bedroom floor which turned my feet black after walking shoeless. Our king bedroom was large and had a small fridge which was convenient for drinks and leftover restaurant meals. Close to the highway which made it convenient to drive around town. We were on the second floor and there is no elevator so be mindful of that. Not an issue other than carrying a heavy suitcase up the stairs. Not in a very nice area but there is a nice upscale outdoor mall less than ten minutes away.

Walls are paper thin and the local ‘permanant’ residents come out at night with their dogs and arguments. Parking is minimal and you get towed where you are directed to park for over flow. Miserable night…

Didn’t expect much from a low budget hotel but at least they had self-laundry.

The room smelled bad. The microwave didn’t work. The first guy at the front desk wasn’t very friendly. They only wakes and muffins for breakfast options. The side door didn’t work, I had to go through the lobby every day

Only is not having elevators.

Opened door to room, food wrapper on the floor . Debris on carpeting. Cigarette butt on floor at entrance. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. We went to the ask to ask if the room was cleaned . Told it WAS cleaned and no offer was made to vacuum the carpwtinf

Property is very old and really needs an update. When I checked in to the hotel I checked out the room and found a couple of things that really bothered me. 1) I pulled back the bedspread and found what looked like a divot and cruppled sheets from someone laying in the bed. I called the front desk and asked for some more sheets for the bed and they said they had been changed, but would send more to me. The lady that helped me change the sheets was nice thankfully. The sheet quality sucked as it seemed like mostly or fully synthetic. 2) The bedspread was horrible!!! It was old and, what looked like, moth holes in it not to mention cigarette burns! It was old and worn out from use too.... 3) I looked around the room more and found cigarette burns in the mattress cover, on tables and in the chest of drawers. 4) The room smelled vaguely of dog. At the very least no one bothered my room when I was out and the bathroom was very clean with clean towels. I occasionally go to economy chains such as Econolodge, but I can tell you I'm not going to go to this chain again unless its the only hotel in town.

The carpet in our room was dirty, the room had a musty smell, the TV had poor reception, the room looked old. Breakfast was minimal.

It’s surprisingly clean.

After being put into two rooms that were obviously not cleaned prior to my arrival, I requested a refund. There was hair of varying lengths and types on both of the beds and it was apparent that the room had not had a vacuum run through it. There was so much dirt and hair and grime on the box spring. I thankfully did get a refund.

Absolutely disgusting hotel. Very bad odor in the halls and even lingers into the parking lot around the building. Stains on every inch of the hallway carpets. Zero water pressure at all. Booked on expedia and was told at the front desk there isn’t any extra fees then was charged $150 the next day. Originally booked for 5 days and ended up leaving after night 1 due to how filthy the entire property was. Drug deals in the parking lot also seemed to be a very common occurrence. Can’t recommend to NOT stay at this place more. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

Great stay for the price and name brand. Stayed overnight while enroute to a business meeting nearby hotel. I wasn't expecting much more than a bed to sleep in and a shower for the morning. This place had all that and more. The building itself is rather large and offer quite a bit of rooms. Less than 100 bucks for a night on a weekday and room was equipped with ironing board, fridge, and seating area for two. It was more like a suite rather than the mere motel i was expecting. i will definitely stay again.

Convenient for being near freeway and breakfast (limited to ceral, yogurt and waffles). Hotel is run down and in need of renovation. Our A/C did not work and bathtub would flex and crack when using it. Bed and pillows were nice, TV was ok.

Too much noise. Hotel creaks at night. Beds hard. Bath was old and needed updating, especially shower head.

The bed was very good. The television service and operation was not good. The internet service was not secure/safe. My chromebook rejected it and therefore I did not use it. That did not happen at several other motels where I stayed during this trip. The property itself is in good condition. Shopping and dining options nearby are good.

The air conditioner sounded like a turbo jet drowning out the tv, the room had a chemical smell like an old mop .

Lady at front desk couldn't have. Been more rude terrible customer service worst i ahve ever had at ant hotel or motel. If everything else wasnt sold i out i would have walked right out the door ans gotten a refunded would definitely not recommend staying there with that horrible customer service

Staff was helpful and efficient checking in. It was Balloon Fiesta week so it was very full and busy. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay here again.

We were just passing through so this hotel was perfect for a nights sleep. It’s dated but was fine for what we needed. Staff was very friendly and check in and out was quick and easy

The female owner was very rude and over charged me ridiciolously for my room and then had the nerve to threatend me with security and kicking me out,very poor service requested house keeping and they never went to clean room

Inside the property seemed great, the manager/ workers are friendly and the hotel was clean enough to stay. Across the street there was a lot of homeless people who seemed to be either screaming at each other or doing drugs.

A great stay. Since my old standby hotel, the San Mateo Inn, was give the bulldozer, I have switched over to the Econo Lodge. I really like it. I have had the same room as previous trips. Easy access to the freeway. Nearby amenities that I like, such as a GoodWill, Savers, Music-Go-Round and Guitar Center nearby. There is a WalMart just on the other side of the freeway. There is also a Twisters close by. Perfect location and hotel for me in my travels through ABQ.

Property host was friendly and hospitable. Area around the property felt sketchy. Numerous homeless people right outside. Room was clean but needed an update badly and the sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain.

My second time here and it was a great experience again. Friendly staff. Really nice cleaning lady. Close to I-40 and I-25. Close to shopping and many restaurants. Highly recommended for a night or two while in ABQ.

Colocated with dining, gas, and shopping, all within walking distance. Smooth check-in process.

Just what we wanted, places to eat in area and quick and easy access t I40 E in the morning.

Motel was clean and comfortable. I would have loved to give them 5 stars. However their breakfast was terrible! Very little selection and nothing we could eat. Worst I have seen in my many days of travel. We left and found a McDonald's.

Hotel was clean compared to reviews from other hotels. Breakfast was limited despite the price of room. Would stay here again if needed to stay one night in Albuquerque NM.

What a pleasant surprise. Lower budget property right off I-40, but it was quiet, very clean, no odors, a decent continental breakfast, very pleasant staff. Noise levels outside are reasonable considering there’s a small shopping area behind the property and a major artery a block away. Extremely convenient to UNM Women’s and Children’s Health Center.

The lady who checked us in seemed rather tired. If there was an elevator, I don't know where it was. The room was fine. One light didn't work. But it was clean & tidy. The a/c worked. The pillows were TINY (I wish I'd taken photos). Plenty of hot water for showers. If you're wanting breakfast, plan on going out for it. The options were a waffle, toast, muffin, or yogurt. We had to hunt down the coffee, and there was no proper creamer. This hotel is off our "return to" list.
