No swimming pool

Our stay was not good. The washer and dryer were located right outside our room. So not only was the room smaller then it should have been, it was also a crapshoot whether people would obey the “no laundry between 9pm and 9am” rule. One night of our stay the dryer and washer were on until almost 2am. The room was clearly older and not well maintained…cleanliness was not great. They also paved the parking lot while we were there with zero warning. Very difficult to navigate parking and getting in and out. Breakfast was cereal/yogurt/granola bars. Will not be visiting again.

Everything was good about this stay at Days Inn! I wish they had an indoor pool and also wish they had a better breakfast instead of a grab and go. The coffee was amazing though! The room was very clean and comfy! Loved having a fridge and table with chairs!

They were sealing the parking lot so parking was limited and smelled bad. Tar on our tires and shoes. Elevator not working. Fitness center closed. Someone using the dryer at 2am causing yelling and screaming in the hallway. Day staff not friendly, but the guy at check in was nice. A plastic fork was found on the floor in our room.

Overall, the room was clean. Breakfast options were very limited. The elevator button on the second floor was missing. The tile around the jacuzzi tub in our room was missing a lot of grout and there were a lot of loose tiles.

Hotel was clean and priced descent for the area. Was nice that we could walk to a lot of areas and restaurants. Would be nice if hotel had more amenities like a pool or a hot tub for rainy days.

Our room was very clean and also the lobby. The room was small as was the bathroom. No counter space in bathroom. The tub/shower although clean was very old squeaky and starting to chip. No amenities. Fitness room was closed. Very sparse breakfast. Bed was comfortable, air conditioner was loud. They did take pets which is why we stayed there. The TART trail was right behind the hotel which was great.

Front desk employees were welcoming and apologized for the reduced parking (lot was being resealed and repainted). Room was clean.

The room was clean but the maintenance, especially in the bathroom, was poor. The tub has a wrap around that was gross along the seam and had been caulked because of cracks not at the edges. Perimeter of the bathroom floor was poorly and heavily caulked. The counter caulking was cracked and peeling all the way around and the mirror was damaged. The space was as clean as it could be considering. The room and furnishings are dated and the washer dryer in the hallway stunk. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. I didn’t bring up the bathroom because there really wasn’t much they could do. Breakfast was cold food only but was decent. They had good yogurt, which is uncommon and I was thrilled to see it. The only common area is the breakfast area and there is no outdoor space at all. With so many options in the immediate area, I would pay more to stay somewhere else next time.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights, but would have asked for a refund if it had been easy. When we first arrived, it was very late and the first room we walked into smelled heavily of pot. We had 3 small kids with us, so that wasn’t going to work. The whole hall smelled, but the room was particularly strong. They found us another room, and it didn’t smell like weed, but smelled old. There were stains on the ceiling, cracked and moldy drywall in the bathroom and on the bathtub. The toilet was not even level. It leaned terribly to the left. We also had to pay $10/night for an additional roll away bed. All other hotels we stayed in offered them for free. We were on a 2 week road trip, and needed to wash our swim clothes and towels from the beach, but the laundry was in the middle of the hallway and we were reprimanded for using it after 9PM because it would disturb people. Understandable, but we left early and arrived back late each day, so we didn’t have a choice. It wouldn’t have been a problem if they were in a room of their own. The staff was friendly enough. The breakfast was quick grab and go items, so nothing of substance for the kids. We ended up eating out each morning. Overall, we could have stayed somewhere much nicer and not paid anymore than we did. It was also on a very busy road on the very west end of the city. To go anywhere, you had to make a left hand turn to get into town, which was nearly impossible with the traffic.

The bed was very comfortable. I upgraded to a suite and the tub was unusable and the shower had mold under the lip. The pice was ok but I probably won’t stay again

The room was very dirty. Found a used q-tip on the night stand, several stains on the bedding and the bathroom was pretty gross. The drain in the shower didn’t work so by the time you were done with your shower the tub was half full of water. With all the other hotel options in the area, we will not be staying at this one again.

Shower had black mold

This is one of Traverse Ci to,A we/tz qy's worst places to stay. We were in shock when we found that the sheets were dirty. They left a flat sheet that had brown stuff so

room wasn't very clean for the price. the shower had visible dirt and buildup in groves and the sheets on the bed had some stains. Everything else was clean and the staff at the front desk was very nice at check in and checkout. I let the cleanliness go considering it was a one night stay and we did not spend much time in the actual room, however I would not pay that much again for the quality.

Good customer service experience overall. But the room was covered in ants. We were told unfortunately a refund might not be possible “since we entered the room” but the room would have need to be cleaned due to the ants anyways. We were told that the hotel is on an ant hill and out of their control but we ended up staying at the Avid next door, and not a single ant and well kept, so I do not understand the initial ant comment. I requested a refund as we checked out a few hours later after noticing the ants once we got back from the store. Waiting to hear follow up. Photos of the ants in the room were provided to the chat representative I chatted with.

There was some kind of pet hair (looked like dog) all over the bed. They did come right away and changed the comforter and sheets, but then there was also hair all on the bathroom floor. Could not have been swept at all.

Bathroom was dirty, mold growing on the caulk, tub didn’t drain, plumbing fixtures very outdated and hard to work. Room was damp and smelled of mildew and dog. Carpet was damp to the touch. Holes were ripped in the old plastic curtains.

Room was ok opened the sliding window and black mold around the casing. Guess you get what you pay for. 😱😣😞

Hot tub had chips all over with fiberglass poking out in some areas. Totally unsafe to use.

Hotel need some upgrades. Carpet, curtains, pillows, iron and ironing board needs replaced. Table was falling apart. Maybe try for some sound proofing, pretty sure for the 2 nights we were there there was a heard of elephants playing basketball upstairs.

The guy at the front desk was nice during check in. The hotel was mostly clean, but needs updating. The hot tub was either chipped or dirty, either way we weren’t going to try it out. The “blackout curtains” don’t actually cover the windows, making it very hard to sleep.

Outdated/old; needs major upgrade.

Overall the place was pretty good. My only issue was that my room was across from the elevator, so I constantly heard a drilling noise, (I'm guessing the cable moving) throughout the night. Come morning, everyone exiting the elevator that was talking I could hear clearly.

While you know what you are getting staying at the days inn, it served its purpose but there were small things that could have made this stay much better. The chipped paint in the shower was not ideal. Nor was the fact that I had to refill my water bottle from the sink. They did offer free water bottles in the morning, but after breakfast you had to fill from sink. Carpet felt old, but beds were great and AC was amazing.

Bathroom shower was disgusting. Lamps were stained and the outlets barely worked. The elevator looked and felt like it was going to break any second. The whole place needs a renovation. Totally misleading photos

Location is decent but in Main Street so you can hear the traffic in the room. Hotel is outdated but clean. Works for a quick stay in town to enjoy traverse city

Staff was excellent, the mattresses were well used. I should have asked for another room instead of 104 but we managed. Other than the mattress, it was a great stay!!

Room was very comfortable, I liked the size but didn't need the hot tub. Chose it for the couch.

My experience with the hotel and staff especially Justin was horrible. The hotel was very dirty, I asked him if our room had housekeeping come he said they should have. It smelled like smoke, which I cannot handle and the floor and bathroom didn’t look like they were cleaned so I asked to switch my room because it was dirty and smelled awful. He said in order to do that I had to pay extra which he charged me. I don’t think I should have to pay extra to have a clean room. I don’t think I will go thru hotels.com any more unless you refund my entire hotel stay. I work for a hotel brand and our staff goes above and beyond to have great customer service and clean rooms. Also I had to iron one of my clothing and the iron had burn marks on it which I didn’t notice until it ruined my skirt that I just bought in Italy. That was very upsetting as this my first time wearing it. This hotel was unacceptable and ruined what would have been a wonderful vacation overall.

My wife and I were given a remarkably large room at a very reasonable price. More impressive than the room itself and the price was the exceptional service that we received at check in by Haley and Monnicca. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and were able to check us into our room a couple of hours early.

Was surprised at check in when she told us it was $25 a night for our dog. The description says pet friendly. No mention of an additional fee. Thankfully we had another option for our pet.

Justin checked us in and was so personable, friendly, helpful and even held the door for us not once but twice while we were bringing in our luggage and gave us great food recommendations!

Check in was ridiculously slow. One person waiting on a couple who had credit card issues while two others chatting. Finally one of the two checked us in. Due to having a broken arm asked to have housekeeping make up room but was denied and told they only service rooms every third day-no exceptions. "Breakfast " consisted of stale packaged danishes and muffins. Needless to say this was 1st and last stay here.

Liked everything about Days Inn in Traverse City. Very friendly nice Managers and staff. Very clean and nice

First of all, I have never stayed at an hotel that makes you wait until the exact time for check in. Dont show up early, not even 10mins or less. They will not check you in until exactly 4pm. They didnt allow you to ask for extra pillows. They dont like giving out extra towels. The free breakfast is the worse.

I will say this hotel was VERY clean and most of the staff was welcoming and friendly. There are updates to the bedding, furniture and flooring in bath. BUT the shower temp mechanism was broken in our room ( they changed us to another room, but annoying to pack up everything. ).

The entire experience was positive. We arrived late and were greeted with a smile. We had our service dog with us, and she was accepted without a hassle. The room was clean, the vending machines were well-stocked, and overall, we enjoyed our stay. I will highly recommend your facilities.

Facility is older but seemed maintained well enough. Property is further from the downtown area, so you can't walk into town, but a short enough drive by car. Less congested than downtown area. The bike/walking trail runs right behind the property which was a plus for me. Front desk was very friendly and eager to help with local info and suggestions. I have always disliked the congestion in TC, but if I go back I would consider staying here again.

Coffee pot was kept full all morning. Biggest concern was stained out dated carpet. Would have liked to have had a nice lvp. Also turning left onto highway was a challenge with the big wooden flower box blocking the view. We also could not see the Days Inn sign until we were right at the turn or past due to a tree blocking the sign. The bed was super comfortable and room was very clean. Bathtub needs replaced as there were numerous cracks in fiberglass which is a mold concern. Overall, we were only there to sleep so it worked out okay. Lots of restaurant choices and easy to get places to sight see.

Very convenient location

This hotel was in a nice location close to everything. It was quiet and away from a lot of the noise of downtown but close enough to venture out.

The hotel was in a great location and was easy to find, the front desk gentleman was very nice and helpful, we felt comfortable and safe our entire stay. I do wish there was a better breakfast choice, but that grab and go is understandable. Overall we had a great experience and we will return. Thank you !

Breakfast is packaged food which was disappointing

This is a no-frills hotel. Somewhat dated, but clean. Snack like breakfast. Liked that breakfast hours were till 10:00 AM every day. Considering the prices at other close by hotels and that it was high season, the price was reasonable.

Staff was friendly & helpful. Grab & go breakfast items were nice. We did develop a leak under sink that caused water to flow across bathroom floor. Staff provided a towel & ice bucket to help. Maintenance was not available due to the holiday. This put a damper on things but overall the stay was good.

The check in was quick and easy and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was disappointing as it was just cereal and dry packaged muffins. The yogurt was good but nothing hot. No toast or bagels

The rooms were clean but the other guests were really loud. We could hear them coming and going from there rooms all hours of the day and night. Breakfast was very limited.

Loved the fireplace and hot tub in our room. Hated the continental breakfast.
