Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Monroe by IHG

The elevator was out of order for some of our stay. We were on the fourth floor (top floor) of the hotel. That was negative after returning to the room. Luckily it was repaired before checkout and we didn’t have to carry heavy luggage down 4 flights to check out. There was something going on with the water. It had a light brown tint which I didn’t notice until after drinking some to take a Tylenol. It tasted awful and when showering left a slick feeling on my skin. Pretty gross. The iron was defective and spewed water all over my clothes when I tried using it ( it looked as though it had been dropped). Didn’t try the breakfast but wanted coffee. Wasn’t happy to have to buy water to make my coffee to know it was clean. The room was decent otherwise.

I really tried to give this hotel a chance.The entrance looks nice and thats where it ends. The rooms are filthy. The crazy thing is I was willing to look past this and until the elavator broke down. The 2nd afternoon of our stay, the elavator broke down. If I was not traveling with my 84 year old grandmother, legally handicap grandmother, who had a double knee replacement and suffers from hip issues, i would careless. We ask when the elevator was going to be fixed as she was on the 3rd floor and we needed to leave for funeral services for my grandfather. We were told the elevator would be fixed by 7, which was not helpful to us because we had to leave by 5. We figured we could take our time to get her down the stairs and the elevator would be fixed by the time she got back. WRONG! Around 7:30/8PM that night I asked the guy at the front desk if there was anyway we could move her to the 1st floor since it was still broke and I explained she was hanicap and had a double knee replacment. He told me there were no rooms on the first floor but would call the general manger to get an update on the status of the elevator. My family kept my grandmother out as long as possible in hopes of the elevator getting fixed but they fixed it. So my grandmother slowly and painfully climbed the stairs. The next morning, Tammy, the morning front desk person, moved my grandmother to the 1st floor to a room THAT WAS AVAILABLE THE NIGHT BEFORE. Tammy was very helpful.

This is an older hotel but kept up pretty well. Room clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff very friendly. Easy self parking. Close to highway so there is some road noise. Breakfast was wonderful

Very friendly front desk clerk. Convenient and easy to get to. Plenty of packing.

Nice stay....bed is very comfortable. Quiet even though on highway. Nice little nature trail right outside of the pool area. Close to restaurants.

It’s under construction but that didn’t affect our stay.

the Receptionist when I checked in was 1st Class the Thermostat in my room would not let a Temperature above 58 degrees be set. So, needless to say it was cold the Elevator was very clunky in operation. It appears as though it might’ve been ready to malfunction

Had an impromptu stay making our way home from vacation. This was a GREAT place to crash! Very friendly service & very helpful folks. Room was very clean, zero complaints. Already aware of a tint to the water due to aquifer they get their water from but let me just say, it was VERY minimal & didnt affect our stay at all. Room was comfortable & updated & very pretty. The place is still partially under construction but it didnt affect us at all. My only suggestion would be for better beds as that was a tad uncomfortable but great location, friendly staff & oh I shouldnt leave out the great breakfast we had! Biscuits & gravy, sausage & eggs with orange juice to get us going for the day! If you're looking for a great place, THIS is the place to stay! Thanks to the friendly & helpful staff!!! Y'all were great!! Highly recommend!!

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is going through construction/renovation and was a little disarray. Staff was very friendly.

This was hands down one of the cleanest and best hotels I’ve ever seen. I didn’t see a spec of dust anywhere the service was wonderful everyone very friendly check in was easy. When we walked in the doors it smelled like fresh soap floors where spotless we were greeted by a very friendly employee at the front desk. Got up to the room walked into one of the cleanest rooms I’ve ever seen looked newly remodeled, a huge shower, an extremely soft bed, and a big flat screen TV with plenty of Channels.

There was a half eaten apple on the floor in our room when we arrived.

Best place I’ve stayed at for this price ($221) and solid value. Clean, smelled great, well kept, room very nice, breakfast fantastic (even crispy bacon).

Beautiful, clean property. Probably the best Holiday Inn I've ever stayed at. Everything was spotless, great hot breakfast everyday and staff was extremely kind!

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was nice. The only negative thing i would say is that the water was brown when taking shower, etc.

I didn’t appreciate paying for a room I didn’t receive! The air conditioner leaked water and the carpet was soak a wet & I was told there wasn’t another room available. I paid for a double queen beds & when I got there it was a king bed with a roll out twin bed with pull out couch. That was unacceptable. The hotel told me it wasn’t their fault call Expedia & of course Expedia took their side! I will not book through you all anymore!!! I should have gotten the insurance! I recommend anyone booking through you all get insurance!!!! Dissatisfied customer!!!

Dirty sheets. It is clear that that they did not change it from the prior guess. The next morning after sleeping on a chair inside the room as I left I saw the cleaning lady with the Cart carrying no sheets but just soaps and shampoos which clearly means that they do not change the sheets

All water in the Hotel is Brown w orange debris floating in it. So bad I questioned if even safe to shower in. Absolutely not drinking or brushing teeth with it! Hotel is very aware of it, as a sign about Brown water, is posted in the Elevator! Yet no, 0 bottle water is provided in the room!!

I stay in Holiday Inn Express regularly. This property could use some updating. The film or coating on the bathtub was coming off, the drain was rusty and I could not get the water to turn off so it dripped all night. The TV remote would work sporadically and the TV was very dated. The hotel is in a great location and is very quiet. The rest of the stay was nice.

Not noise in the room

This was just a quick overnight for a roadtrip. Honestly wish we could have stayed longer. This was one of the comfiest beds I've slept in! Clean, convenient, and the staff we encountered were very pleasant.

Hotels.com said the bathroom was a tub/ shower combo in our king suite, however the only rooms that had those are double queens, every other room option is shower only. Had I knew this I would have booked somewhere else…. So I had to forgo my relaxing bath after a busy holiday week while being sick to have the comfort of a king size bed with my husband.

Bed was very comfortable and room was very spacious. We had a large dog friendly room which was the size of two almost. Candy was very helpful!

Overpriced! I paid $160/n for hotel with very limited amenities and a room with a tub that didn’t drain properly. The whole shower needs to be replaced. Me and several other guest had to wait for someone to finally come to the front desk. She was nice tho.

Good place to stay in Monroe La. Great breakfast. Room was comfortable and clean. No problems!

I love the room the softness of the king size bed. The bathroom walk in shower. Free breakfast. I love it everything.

Candy was great at check-in.. quick friendly and professional. Stay was great and room was nice and clean.

The lady(Candie) was remarkably helpful and polite. She really made my stay enjoyable

Nice hotel. This hotel offers a breakfast every morning, which a few in the same area do not do. It’s not elaborate, but it’s decent. Also, there’s a hiking trail right next to the hotel.

Ran out of cinnamon rolls an hour before breakfast ended and only 1 hot chocolate packet. Shower bath wash and shampoo dispenser broken in bath. Pretty clean overall and bed was comfortable but not outstanding.
