There were towels left hanging on the back of the door from the previous guests, even though the front desk said housekeeping had just cleaned the rooms. We stayed for 2 nights and when coming back to room after first night all housekeeping did was take out the trash and take used towels. Did not refill towels and had to go ask both nights for towels from the front. On first night after getting our room, a few hours later someone tried to access our room with a key and opened the door. Front desk gave that individual access to our room with a new key. Front desk then called my room to see what rooms we had cause they "forgot to write it down" (we had 4 rooms booked). That individual said he frequents the hotel and has had this happen numerous times. Doesn\'t seem they are organized at front desk at all. Pool area was decent and clean.

First of all for the price around the Louisville area, it was a deal. It was clean enough, but there were some small issues that the owner needs to address. All the mirrors were dirty, there were things like the toilet paper roll and some other miscellaneous items that really should be replaced. The main thing was there was no elevator. We are both seniors and had to haul out luggage up the stairs. A young man at the desk shrugged when we originally asked where the elevator was. On my second trip where I had items light weight, he asked. Also, in the AM we ran out of toilet paper and could not find one. The woman at the desk was angry that we asked if they could bring some upstairs. She actually was nasty when my friend said we were both in our pajamas. She probably didn't want to climb the stairs either. Other staff were friendly.

The room was pretty clean but the furniture had old stains and it looked like cigarette burns on the seats. The room was good sized and the beds were decently comfortable. The staff at the desk were all very nice and friendly! It was a hot weekend so the pool was popular but it was clean and they did a good job of keeping towels stocked. Definitely an older hotel, no elevator for the second floor but I didn't need one necessarily.

This hotel needs an update bad. A few things: the sink had no plug. The back entrance to the hotel had a broken keypad so anyone could enter. The breakfast was pretty bad. Like why even have it? Of course there are very few options in Tell City for hotels that take dogs. That is why we stayed. One good thing. The room was large and roomy.

Rooms smelled like mold. The floors were very dirty, your feet would be black after walking on them. But the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I think we got what we paid for from a pet friendly hotel. I was not mad about our stay.

Older facility in moderate condition. Room okay. Bed and pillows were nice. Large TV. AC was very quiet. Our shower dribbled water all night. Awakened at 4:30 am by someone next door taking a shower. Iron disgusting. It took me 10 minutes of cleaning before I could use it. Washer dryer available and clean. Worked well. Friends had an accessible shower that badly needs updating and maintenance. Breakfast minimal. Juice machine only dispensed water. Pretty expensive for what we got.

Very dirty hotel, hair that was not ours in the shower, fleas in the bed and carpet left us all with flea bites and rash, mold in sink drain, and dead bugs all over bath tub and floor. Overcharged for extra days with no explanation as to why and when asked to explain just got rude and mean remarks. The one good thing I can say is that they provided towels when we asked for them.

The hotel staff was very nice. The hotel Itself seemed clean. However, there were a lot of bugs in my room. I told the staff, they offered another room, which was great, but I didn’t want to move to another room that might also have bugs in it- by bugs, I mean annoying little flies that aren’t a common hose fly- no idea what it was. The breakfast bar was decent, but only went until 9. It would have been nice to have it available u til 10, but not a deal breaker. Overall- the staff was worth the stay, the beds were clean and comfy, but wear shoes everywhere in tor room;) and bring a fly swatter.

AVOID THIS PLACE at ALL COST! MOLDin room and bad SMELL and couldnt stay. No manager on site to appeal and poInt out problem so I left a note with phone number and stated problem. MANAGER didnt call. I was charged for 3 nights and stayed 1 night. Inept front desk person said she couldnt do any thing but she fully understood my frustration.went back 2 more times and still no manager. Basically I was robbed. HOTELS.COM was no help.

The room itself was clean and the amenities were great. The only downside was that the room and pretty much the entire hotel had a stale smoke smell. There was no active smoking and the rooms were all designated as smoke free, but there a was a lingering tobacco smell.

I visit Tell City monthly to visit family and my mother who is on hospice. We usually stay at Holiday Inn but decided to stay at Ramada due to the cost. Upon entering the room, we were met with a musty odor. At 9pm, a family entered the room directly above us. They had multiple children who were jumping and screaming so loud that we could barely have a conversation. I contacted the front desk at 10pm to make a complaint. We were in bed and had been unpacked for hours. The gentleman who answered told me that he could move us. We did not want to move as we had already showered, were unpacked and were in bed. I asked if he could contact that room and ask them to quiet down. He refused and said that never goes over well and they may give a bad review if he calls. He did not care that we were kept awake all night and if we made a bad review. We were the ones who were considerate, and he cared more about the ones who were causing disruption. The kids yelled and jumped around the room until 2am. Then back up at 5am yelling and jumping again. We did not get any sleep and it ruined our visit with my mother. We will not stay here again. The staff does not care about the comfort of their clients. We also found stink bugs in our room. The room was terribly outdated and musty.

Our TV didn't work. It was all fuzzy. The sink was leaking onto the floor. Had to put our ice bucket under it. The room hadn't been used for months they told us and when I turned on the faucet dirt kept coming out of it. BUT the worse thing was we had no internet. But the staff had internet. So I'm guessing they jut don't have the guest internet hooked up. They said they called Comcast days ago. It was a huge inconvenience not having any internet!! That is something I am paying for in my cost for the room. I find that very frustrating.

Not the most comfortable bed, woke up every morning with a back ache. Ending the breakfast time at 9 am is too early, it should be more like 10 am on Saturday and Sunday. I get 9 am on Mon-Friday but not on the weekends.. The staff was friendly enough.

I've stayed at this hotel many times over the years while visiting family. This was the WORST visit, and I will NEVER stay at this location again. I was traveling with my kids and fiancé. We had no hot water in the shower, the blow dryer was missing a part of the back and sucked my hair up into it, the chairs were so disgustingly stained I didn't even want to lay my coat on it. The room itself was musty and stale, but the beds were clean and comfortable. That was the only bright point during this stay. The morning breakfast had minimal options and the coffee was cold, even at 8am. We tidied up the room before we left as normal. During online check-out I mentioned the issues we had with the water, blow dryer, and chairs. A few hours... later they tried to run my card 5 times with a total attempt at taking over $500 from my account on top of the nightly rate I'd already paid for. I called them and was told it was for smoking in the room. I DON'T SMOKE. PERIOD. The room was gross before we ever got there. There was no way they were going to charge me for this and for as many times as they ran my card? My bank caught them and stopped it, but they managed to get $50 in one of their attempts. I've called but keep being put off with "a manager will call you back" but that never happens. I sent an email... no response. Heed my warning... DO NOT STAY HERE!! They will try to screw you over to get money for no reason.

The check in person was obviously under the influence of sometimes. She rented the same rooms to several different people. Our room door was opened, with the key, 4 different times during the night. We absolutely had to use the chain on the door. We had a total of seven rooms for the evening and the same thing happened to several others in our group. We won't use this facility again.

Was a long day of driving. Got there late, they were fast and friendly and checked me in quickly. My room was clean. Even got a friendly note the next morning under my door, thanking me for choosing them. Really made me feel good

They're use to be an amazing breakfast buffet, but that was not the case this past time. No orange juice, no yogurt, and my kids ended up eating poptarts that we brought. This was our 4th time staying there and this time was the worst. We are looking for somewhere else from now on.

The place was fine but nothing special. What you expect in the price range. Me, my teenage sone, and his friend in town for a fishing trip so we didn’t need all the bells and whistles. What was nice was when we checked in I asked what time breakfast was and she said 6:00 am. I told her we would be checking out at 5:30 and she said they would have breakfast out at 5:15 am. When we got up everything was out and ready.

A friend and I traveled from the East Coast to view the April 2024 solar eclipse, and we stayed here two nights. I honestly don\'t understand the negative reviews, because our experience was outstanding. The property was neat, clean, and quiet (for the most part). Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were very polite. We had plenty of water pressure, hot water, and clean towels. The "breakfast" is really just self-serve snacks, but tasty and adequate. The only problem we had was a small dog that yapped continuously for over an hour on the night we arrived. When we called the front desk to complain we were told that they couldn\'t do anything about it. (?!) Fortunately, the dog\'s owners finally returned to their room and quiet returned to the hotel. No more problems the rest of our stay. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if returning to the area.
