This property could be awesome but for some reason they have flooded the entire interior courtyard and pool area with harsh cool white lighting. It destroys the ambiance and feels like a Walmart parking lot at night time.

For the money there is value at the lower price point rooms due to the beach access and chair/bar service on beach. The hotel feels like what it really is a former value hotel that new operators tried to make nice. Also many people were disappointed that the hot tub was not hot just pool temp water.

The elevator was not up to code and didn’t even have any inspection reports. The buttons did not work in the elevator. The water pressure was not the greatest, but the service of the staff and the restaurant was fantastic. I do not think the resort fee adds up to the value that you get considering you can get a lot more if you had just south a bit or just a bit when it is considered a resort.

We stayed at the Sands many years ago and it was a great location but the rooms were dingy. This time, either we had a much better room, or it has been updated. The hotel itself is in a perfect location for going to the beach, and the fact that two chairs and an umbrella come with the price of the room is a huge plus. The restaurant is excellent, with great views. Overall it's a great place to stay, especially the full-ocean view rooms with balcony! The hotel was very crowded at least when we were there, and there was an elevator that was out, which meant that we had to walk up between 3 and six flights each time we entered and left the hotel. Of course that could happen to anyone, but we did have the thought that it would have been nice if they offered us some kind of compensation.

I loved my stay at Delray Sands and will likely be back. I could not say enough positive things about the staff and the area this hotel is in. My only issue was that they were doing construction around the pool area and concrete dust was often being pushed into the pool area where guests were breathing and swimming in it. I would have given my stay 5 stars if not for that. Would highly recommend though.

We had a very nice stay at the Del Ray Sands Resort. Great location, right on the beach. The room itself was pretty basic, but you really couldn’t beat the location. The hotel staff were all really friendly. We used the valet service several times and they were always quick to bring our car around. The bartender was very friendly, too. I also liked that our room came with free access to two chairs, an umbrella and towels for the beach (also for the pool). I’d stay here again, for sure.

Very nice resort. My only issue is that they had an issue with pool area getting a makeover of some sort and it would take longer than expected. Made my reservation months ahead of our trip but found out on day of checkin the pool would be closed for most of our stay. We were in route from NY with having to scramble to make reservations elsewhere. We worked it out and thankful we got to stay first night since we couldn't get a reservation on that day. They did help us but after I made a new reservation and gave us the same pricing (it was at their sister location in Delray). Love this place, just wish i didn't find out at the last minute, very stressful.

BLACK MOLD present around edge of sink on countertop!! How long has THAT been there??? Dirt on shower floor and soap scum on shower door. Couldn't get "late checkout" when I registered... turned out I was happy to leave first thing in the morning.

Valet staff were excellent and very helpful!!! Room had a lot of sand on floor near beds and bathroom but was taken care of right away! AC leaked water on floor and I reported twice and they supposedly sent someone but still leaked. I reported when I checked out.

It was great! They let me check in 3 hours early because my office was having their Christmas party there, which was so nice. The restaurant and outside bar, pool, beach is amazing. The room was on the ocean with a balcony which was the main reason for staying and beautiful, but the room was a bit banged up. Knicks out of furniture, dust build up on the vents and smoke detector, one of the pillows had a musty smell, visible rust on things…for the cost, I expected more I guess. But it was still nice! Just needed a fresh paint job and a good deep leaning.

This is no resort. This place is a DUMP and infested with cockroaches!!! I checked into a dirty room with smudged mirrors, hair on the countertops, dusty coffee machine and lamps next to the bed, I’m nit not picky so I over looked that, however, when my daughter opened the toilet to find urine in the toilet, that was the final straw. I called the front desk to complain and they sent up the housekeeping staff whom were rude when they came to clean the toilet. Then, I woke up at 1 am and found a cockroach on my toothbrush in the bathroom!!! I sent a text message to the guest services that has been texting me regarding our stay and sent pictures. I asked to be switched rooms but they only offered to move us to a worse location room on the first floor with a view of the parking lot. No thanks, I don’t want to be closer to the ground where there are MORE cockroaches!! So I just asked that my room be thoroughly cleaned and sprayed for bugs. After going out to dinner tonight, I returned to the room to find MORE cockroaches in the bathroom!! I killed a baby cockroach on the wall and another one next to the shower. I called the front desk to complain again and they just sent someone to spray our room. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE at a so called “resort” that I paid more than $500/nt for plus their additional $40/nt resort fee. Ridiculous! I will never stay at an Opal Grand Property again.

Location is beautiful, we had a balcony view of the ocean. The room was comfortable and the housekeeping staff were very attentive. The only complaint I had with cleanliness is that the air conditioner was blowing black dust/mold and it settled on the floor and chair below the vent. I contacted the front desk a couple of times about the issue. Maintenance was there twice, but the issue remained during our four night stay there. Otherwise it was a pretty nice stay.

This is not the first time staying at Delray Sands, we love this hotel. But this particular stay was bad. Do NOT accept room 134 at check-in, it is located very near to a generator room, and the generator would make an awful sound ALL night long, non stop, really annoying. You will not be able to relax and sleep any night. I don't even want to think about the people staying at room # 139 which is located right next to the generator room. Also, room #134 is just in front of an employe/cleaning service people room. Door face to face with that room. It is used as a "headquarter" where everyone concentrates in their free time and they are very loud, not being considerate with the guests staying in the adjacents rooms. Their conversations starts very early in the morning, any day, shouting and giving instructions like they are in a park. I will definitely stay there again, but as in the past, I will request a room in a higher floor.

Hotel was very nice and I would recommend it to friends and family. Clean rooms! Nice pool! Nice hot tub! The only letdown was that we booked an oceanfront room, but they had an issue with the A/C in those rooms, so they moved us to pool side which was still nice and had a partial view of the ocean.

This was our first time visiting the Delray Sands resort. The location could not be better, right in the heart of Highland Beach and directly on the ocean with a beautiful pool and private beach set up for the guests. Food service is provided by Latitudes, One of the best restaurants in the Delray Beach/Boca Raton area. We were disappointed with our room as it was a corner room (318) and had only a small 1/2 patio instead of a full-size patio because of the configuration, the patio was unusable due to the, exhaust from the room air conditioners, making it unbearably hot. The hotel is also in need of a significant upgrade to the furnishings in the rooms as they are very dated. All things considered, however, we will return again and have already booked our next stay there in November 2024 and January 2025. Thank you again for great stay!

Property was great, however, we did have some issues with the guests in the room next door. They were very intoxicated, going in and out of room and SLAMMING the door, yelling outside our door, and be very disruptive all after midnight. I called the front desk to ask them to please handle the situation (which was ever felt with) and my husband and I were woken up and kept up for hours. This was an escape for my husband and I. We live in the city and this vacation was to get away from the noise and chaos. I really like the property, but will probably never stay again as our room was very expensive and the staff did not seem to care about late night disruptions to other guests.

I highly recommend this place. It’s a hidden gem located in Highland Beach. Nothing beats a great hotel that you could just walk to the beach. Great service and staff was excellent. Will be returning.

This is one of my favorite all-time hotels. It helps that it’s on the beach. The restaurant is very good and I love the Nespresso machines they have in the rooms. The restaurant has the best caprese salad I’ve ever had. I’m sure there are those that could wonder why their Caprese salad is so good and it had something to do with the pistachio sauce/cheese. They were extremely accommodating and letting me get an early check-in and a late check out. I will definitely be back soon. I hope it doesn’t expand because it’s perfect the way it is.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was clean. We loved the robes! It’s a hidden treasure on the beach. The service at the bar and restaurant was excellent. It was close to Atlantic, yet secluded from the crowd. Highly recommend!

This was our 2nd time visiting here, as we loved it the first time. I believe it got a little better. The valet staff goes above and beyond. The bar staffed unfortunately, are understaffed and overworked. Our room with a pool view was fantastic.

We had a great family stay at Delray Sands! All of the employees were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the large heated pool and hot tub. They were great even when we had bad weather. We also loved that it’s right on the beach! The restaurant was perfect . We ate breakfast outside overlooking the ocean and returned for a delicious dinner! Highly recommended hotel!
