DoubleTree by Hilton Hartford Downtown

Beautiful property, rooms and extremely convenient to People’s Bank Arena. Indoor walkway to the area will definitely bring us back!

The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of both the train station and downtown, which made getting around very easy. The property was very clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable, allowing for a good night’s sleep. I also really appreciated the amenities, the sauna was a great bonus, and the gym was well equipped and excellent. Customer service was okay but not exceptional, and I think there is room for improvement in this area. One area that could especially be improved is the hotel restaurant. I would have loved to see a fresh breakfast option. When I ordered an omelet, it was precooked and simply reheated in the microwave. Although the staff member assisting me was very kind and pleasant, the quality of the breakfast did not meet expectations, particularly given how expensive it was. Overall, the hotel has many strong points, especially its location and amenities, but improvements in service consistency and breakfast quality would greatly enhance the experience.

Staff were great except dinner time at Herb N Kitchen. The morning time Herb N Kitchen staff were very nice. The bathroom had no exhaust fan and the shower curtainrod was bent and allowedwater onto the floor. But otherwise the room was fine.

This hotel has no idea what hospitality is. Everyone looks at you like you have three heads. It’s co. Extend to an apt bldg btw. Breakfast was added on reservation but it’s not really a breakfast. Snack bar more like it. I’m Hilton honors as well. They did nothing for it.
