Hartford Marriott Downtown

The hotel was nice and the staff friendly, If you have a car be prepared to pay $23 a day.

Room was clean and ready; staff were all courteous and helpful. Coffee bar, pub-bar, and breakfast restaurant all under one roof.

Labor Day weekend and pool and hot tub closed! Fitness area dirty and not cleaned. TV in room had glitchy issues and no maintenance person on hand to fix. This hotel has gone downhill and doesn’t look like the pictures posted online.

On arrival, the staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating. The lobby had a wonderful lounge and Starbucks that was very convenient, clean and spacious. My issue was with the valet. I rented a Tesla and I was low on range when I arrived. The valet said they would charge it overnight - which gave me assurance. When I picked up my vehicle, it had not been charged and I needed to go to Boston airport. I then had to find a nearby Tesla charging station and it delayed by trip by 40 minutes and I nearly missed my flight. This was VERY disappointing.

Please give more attention to cleaning and sanitizing your carpets in hotel room. Kudos to Blake and the spa on the 22nd floor. What a marvelous and professional presented space. Shout out to room service. What a pleasant experience - service was prompt and friendly.

The hotel is not updated and for the price we expected way more. The valet service is also through a 3rd party which is fine but just another separate expense. If there were issues or questions, this also meant you had to speak with valet and the hotel could not assist. For us, it was an average hotel that was not worth the expensive rates.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Marriott in downtown Hartford, the first was for a concert. The hotel is very nice. It's clean, the rooms are decent size and also clean. There are some dining options on the property itself (I have not used any of these though) and there is onsite parking. Each time I stayed the check in process was great. The staff has been very friendly and helpful. It is right next door to the Convention Center. There are several dining options across the street and the UCONN Hartford branch is also across the street. Depending on how far you like to walk it is a bit of a hike to get to the actual downtown of Hartford. If you are attending a show at Hartford Stage Company, Theater Works or a sporting event at the XL Center, it's just enough out of the way that you could take a car. But if you want to walk, you'll get get a little exercise.

Perfect place if you attend a convention, the hotel is right next to the convention center, very convenient, staff is great and rooms are clean.

We stayed for 3 night and the room was meticulously cleaned every day. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The city view was excellent from the 18th floor. The room was quiet despite being very near the elevator. The location was excellent. We walked to restaurants and to the Hartford Marathon. The Starbucks in the lobby was busy, allow extra time to get your coffee. The room also has a coffee maker, but there were only 2 pods and 1 was decaf. We didn’t use parking. I used the gym, it was fine. The shower had great water pressure. There was a large closet and plenty of power outlets. No complaints. Would stay there again.

Breakfast was amazing and room service was prompt. The room it self was good not the most modern I’ve ever stayed some furniture looked like it needed some update. When it comes to cleanliness it could’ve been better I’m a clean freak and I definitely saw some areas that clearly needed some cleaning. But the staff were so friendly and nice. I recommend trying the prossage spa and ask for Lisa she was so amazing they made our stay there that much worth it. And soooo much food around the area! Not much else to do but eat and drink. And if you want the hot tub I suggest doing it in the morning or middle of the day because there’s no chance of it being empty in the evening.

Only complaint was no microwave in the hotel room. I found that very odd.

I was extremely upset I had to leave the hotel at 10:30pm because people were running and hollering up and down the hallways all night which was scaring my daughter we were having a girls get away night we live close so I ended up taking her home because she couldn’t sleep

One of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had thus far was at Marriott. I rented a room near a local event, which unfortunately came at a high cost. Upon arrival, we discovered that the room was plagued by an excessively loud ice machine located directly outside our door. After an arduous walk, we finally returned to our room, only to find that the door lock was unresponsive. We had to return to the front desk to request maintenance assistance, which took another hour. A maintenance technician arrived approximately 10 minutes later and attempted to fix the door while we were still in the room. Despite our agitation, he engaged in conversation with us. In our state of frustration, we decided to order food service through the hotel’s app. However, after multiple unsuccessful attempts on two different phones, we encountered an error code that prevented the transaction from processing. Consequently, we repeated our calls to the front desk and room service line, but received no response. At 3:30 AM, we were abruptly awakened by the other room attempting to open the adjoining door. This was intended to be an exceptional experience for my girlfriend, who was visiting from New Jersey, but it had the opposite effect. I would have preferred to have spent significantly less money at another motel or hotel rather than spending $400 on this subpar experience. I highly advise against booking this establishment.

Excellent location and great stay to attend an event at the Convention Center. Rooms are rather small. They do not off a roll a way but did give a blow up mattress. Room is was clean and well kept. Property is very nice.

Great location which explains the expensive price. Aside from the rooms are small, bathroom is very small, beds were not very comfortable. My friend said a spring was hurting her back. We had a corner room with an amazing view. The service is excellent. From the front desk to housekeeper to valet 10 of 10 customer service

No robes no water in the corner rooms I think for 400 dollars you could include this

2024, and still have the worst wifi and the tv didnt work bc the internet wasnt strong enough…. I asked for help, the guy said… oh well. And front desk says no ethernet only wifi…

They couldn't find one of our resies because they had put it under a first name, valet couldn't find our car because they dropped a #, no shower gel in container, towels thin and old.

Everything about the Marriott was fabulous. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food in the L Bar was excellent. The property is pristine. We'll definitely be back.

I reserved a room with 2 beds and paid for the room 2 months in advance, when we got there we got a 1 bed room with 2 twin air beds. No space in the room to walk after placing the 2 beds. In addition, when I reserved it’s says free breakfast but at the hotel they said that is only for ambassadors members.

Great stay for my daughter's college graduation. Fabulous bar, stellar food (at the bar and from room service), loved the hot tub. Comfortable sized room and the beds were perfect and had the most amazing pillows. Highly recommend!
