The resort has a shuttle right in front of the building to bring you to the gondola up to the mountain. Staff is all wonderful. Steps away from Main Street were there are a ton of restaurants and shops

The hotel was close to Main Street with free shuttles to ski resort. There was a covered parking garage. The room was smaller than I thought as was the kitchenette. The hot tub was out of order so that was disappointing.

Best location, right next to the river and the running water sounds was very soothing. 2 minutes walk from Main At. Everything is within 2 minutes walk. Underground parking is wonderful! Very clean property. Kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. Front desk lady was amazing. She was very nice, professional and helpful. Other staff members were amazing. So many hot tubs to choose from.

We really enjoyed our stay. The bed and sofa beds were very cozy, kitchen has everything you need. The property’s hot tubs and fire pits are great. Deck on unit is small but fits 3 chairs.

Definitely don’t plan on bringing a camper or large vehicle. Parking is under ground & very small. We had to drop our toy holler somewhere else & our truck barely fit in the garage

Loft bedroom with Murphy bed and separate bathrooms were exactly what we were looking for. Kitchen very well appointed. The lodge is directly across the street from the Four O’Clock Run, very, very convenient! Parking was easy, but for mid size suv and cars / not for gigantic trucks and suvs. Excellent location all around. I would return.

The Hot tub was being remodeled so the hammering and construction work was a tiny bit annoying as my window was right there. The location is great, good amenities, this unit had everything I needed. Thank you

I think it is common for properties in ski areas to show a little wear, and that is true of River Mountain Lodge. However, the entire place including our unit is very well maintained, and the staff is helpful and courteous. The location so close to the middle of town cannot be beat for access to shopping and the gondola. And the onsite tiki bar is a very fun place. I was impressed as well that the guy taking care of the hot tubs actually knew the target temperature for the tubs. (We used two of them, and the temp was around the 101 to 102 range, which while not as hot as I prefer was very agreeable.)

The property maintenance was below average and the room was not cleaned. Floors, countertops and blinds were as well as furniture surfaces had not been cleaned. We were given a parking pass for one vehicle inside the property garage but there were not adequate spaces for all guests so we did not have a space for two nights. The appliances (dryer, washer and dishwasher) could be heard in our room from our neighbors as well as their conversation because the doors were hallow. The hot tub outside was not usable or the heated pool because they were bath water temperature but we were charged average resort fees…none of the amenities were accessible.

Excellent location, free garage parking, employees super friendly. Rooms however could use an update. Beds were old, carpet was dirty and smelled musty, shower curtains were too short for shower, I guess whomever installed them didn’t care they were wrong size and ok with water going all over the floor.

Great stay at river mountain lodge . Our room faced the stream. We would keep the door slightly open to listen to the rushing water. It was relaxing. We didn’t use any amenities at the property but there was coffee and tea in lobby which we took advantage of. Apartment was clean and well stocked. Easy walk to restaurants and stores. Not sure about skiing set up,as we were there in fall.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, with clean rooms and a very friendly staff. The rooms could benefit from some updates. The lighting in the bedroom could be improved, as having a ceiling light in addition to the bedside lamps would likely make a significant difference. Additionally, the closet doors were difficult to open, and the rails may need oil or some maintenance to function more smoothly. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would gladly choose to stay here again.

Location is amazing! Clean and well appointed unit with perfectly amazing view of the river and trees! Free attached parking garage made life easy. Note: DO NOT stay in a unit facing the street. SUPER LOUD. River facing ONLY! Also avoid the loft units. The bedroom window has no screen and it’s gets WAY too hot up there. But if you stay in a river facing, non-loft unit you will LOOOOVE IT. We were very pleased with the location of River Mountain Lodge! It was so easy to walk to dinner or shops and even a trailhead. We were always able to find parking in the garage when we stayed in September. What I didn’t love was that I thought I booked a specific room based on the pictures I saw and thought I was booking a room with a river balcony. When we got to our room the bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs with a balcony on the street. I spoke with the people at the front desk who I must say were very kind but informed me all rooms are different and no river balconies were left. They were able to move us to a room that was all one floor thankfully, but I’m baffled that you don’t get the room you think you’re booking. Our room had rather worn down furniture with fraying carpet however it was clean enough. Overall I don’t think I would stay again unless there is a way to actually view and book the room I want.

Did not know there was no A/C. Got very warm during days. Also the main bed and bathroom were up a 15 step staircase. Very difficult for 80 plus couple to navigate.

A GREAT location! The room was warm, but they gave a box fan. My only complaint would be that since we were poolside, we were not able to use the box fan as opening up the blinds lead to a BRIGHT light shining in our room. Our room was 80 degrees for the entire night since we were not able to open the blinds and have air flow in. We will stay again, but will ask to not be on the first floor next to the pool courtyard lights so we can cool down.

I’ve stayed in two rooms here and can see why reviews are either great or terrible - it really depends on the room you get, and unfortunately there’s no way to choose when booking here. Some of the staff are exceptional however, and turned what would have been a one-star review stay to this five-star review. One tip may be to make sure and book a premium room, not the standard, even though they have the same description and (misleading) photos on this site. It is a great place to stay and the location is perfect for enjoying everything Breckenridge.

Construction at the property was very noisy. Our first night stay the kid at the desk gave us the wrong room. After we were all unpacked and groceries put away, 45 minutes later we were told we were given the wrong room. The girl the next morning called the manager and they made it right.

We were traveling September for a hiking trip so I will not be able to comment on skiing. The staff are phenomenal and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again. The unit was very well appointed and recently updated. We had an accident in our rental car on the day of checkin(with a bull elk). We were very shaken and they let us check in early and took very good care of us! We will always remember their kindness. Do not hesitate to reserve time here!

I absolutely love this place, since we got there the front desk girls were super welcoming, I met other staff members and they are always polite and recommended places to eat, visit, shop, etc. Fresh coffee throughout the day, walkable skii access, the rooms were super comfy with gorgeous views of the town. It felt like I was in a Christmas movie.

The receptionist at desk was exceptional. I do not know her name but she wore glasses. The was there several times when we came to the desk and she always greeted us with a smile. She was there Sunday morning when we checked out.

Fantastic Stay with Great Amenities and Convenience I stayed at this hotel with my family, and we had a wonderful experience. The dining options around the hotel were excellent, offering a variety of cuisines within walking distance, which made it easy to find something for everyone. Transportation in the area was very convenient, and the hotel’s free parking was a huge bonus for us. It’s also very walkable, which we appreciated as we explored the local area without always needing to drive. I had stayed here many years ago and loved the location. I was suprised when I arrived they had upgraded me to a 2 bedroom condo which was awesome. They have covered parking which is great and an onsite restaurant. Right next to the free gondola and a block from Mainstreet.

The property is in an ideal location in Breckenridge. Within walking distance of everything. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy coffee while being right on the river- very charming and relaxing. It was also right on the bike path which was nice for morning runs. The staff was very nice. The lobby bar was closed for the season which was a bummer, but I guess they just don't get enough business in summer months? The property itself could use some updates. The sauna didn't seem to work. There was something broken off the wall in the hallway that had electrical wires hanging out. The carpet and the armchair in our room seemed old and outdated. But, the price of the rooms was good compared to other places in Breckenridge, so I guess if you want to stay in a more updated property, the price will reflect that.
