Hyatt Vacation Club at The Ranahan

This is my 3rd time staying at the Ranahan. Always love the place but this time was disappointing. I booked this trip months ago and upon check in was told that the pool was closed for maintenance. That is one of the best amenities of the resort and having 4 young kids who live to swim. I feel that there should have been some communication sent to picking guests to allow them to cancel free of charge due to this inconvenience.

Everything there at the Ranahan is awesome! We love the pool, water slide, hot tubs, and the resort itself is fantastic! Everything everywhere is nice and clean and well up kept!

Excellent property, super modern and luxurious, friendly staff, amazing pools indoor and outside with water slide and kids play area, pond/creek on property for fishing, great and convenient location, fully stocked kitchen. 10/10!

Our room was large and had a nice kitchen with full size appliances. The shower was nice and there were 2 sinks in the bathroom. We loved using the hot tubs outside. There were 3 large hot tubs to choose from. The area is very quiet and nice with a good view. The only thing that would have been nice is a restaurant that served full breakfast. We had to go into town to eat our meals.

Hotel in Breckenridge is very good. A swimming pool and hot tub is very good, it's hot and steam. Yesterday, I noticed to front desk staff about one hot tub water level is low, pump can be damage. They called to other staff to check it. A hotel has a fireplace, gym, bar, 3 hot tubs, swimming pool, and fire pit. My room has a fire place, kitchen, living / dining room, bedroom, and bathroom. I love it.

Nice resort hotel outside Breckenridge. Beautiful grounds, pleasant indoor/ outdoor pool with 3 large hot tubs. Nice suite room with comfortable bed, good water pressure and kitchen stocked with utensils. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it if you don’t mind being in a driving distance from town. The only thing I didn’t like is they let us wait until 4 pm- check up time- no flexibility and the pool didn’t open till 9am when check out is 10. Too many rules and regulations.

Property was clean, quiet and offered transportation to Main Street. Pool was closed due to maintenance, satellite and WiFi kept crashing. It’s irritating to pay resort fee for things that are not operational or closed

The check in person was very professional and most helpful as we had a booking error that she helped us correct. The room was a good size with everything you could want; full sized fridge and stove and dishwasher with all supporting cutlery and pots and pans. The additional dining area was also a plus. The amenities were great, work out area, bar, pool table, and several other activities, heated outdoor saunas, indoor pool and pretty much anything you could ask for. Also had shuttle service to downtown Breck available.

Amazing stay with the most attentive, courteous and friendly staff and great amenities. The room is quiet and comfortable with a fireplace, washer and dryer and all of the kitchen equipment that we needed. We enjoy the balcony where you can see the Blue River and the mountains. Incredible! The proximity to the rec path for biking or hiking and to both towns of Breckenridge and Frisco are very important. We love the multiple pools and spas, plus access to other activities. The courtesy van is also a plus.

The room was huge; the layout was perfect. I appreciated the in-room laundry set-up. However, the pillows were extremely flat so if you're traveling for a while, you may just want to bring one. As someone with bad allergies, I was having a hard time breathing at night. In the morning, I realized it's because the HVAC filter in my room was clogged with dust.

Great location! Bike and hike trails start at the hotel. Clean, great pool and 3 hot tubs. Great huge rooms with fully equipped kitchen. Had an issue with cleaning service. Nobody came to clean the room on the second day. The trash in the room became stinky and also we wanted some towels to be changed. Went to the front desk to ask to take out the trash. Nobody showed up that day. The cleaning lady came next morning and woke us up. Nobody came after that for the rest of our stay. We stayed 4 nights. I believe the room with the kitchen needs to be cleaned more often. The front told us that they clean every 4 days. I don't think it is enough.

Beautiful hotel and room hotel had a bad smell of pet urine in the room and throughout the hotel hallways.

Great staff, amazing view with our villa. Only complaint is that our villa had a distinct smell but it was tolerable.

The property was beautiful. We loved the pool and spas. Our room was great. The smell in our hallway was terrible and smell seeped into our room.

We love visiting this hotel in the fall - very nice and clean.

It’s a very nice place and well kept up. There is a few things I would say could be better. Only 1 elevator and we had to walk down 3 long halls to end where the room was. Other thing is the Hide-a-bed was very uncomfortable . Otherwise the kitchen was great the deck was super nice.

The walls were very thin and heard a lot of noise from the floor above

The pool and the rooms are fantastic! The staff is kind and friendly. The views are incredible.

This is one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. Not only is it roomy, but it is very well decorated. A hotel is beautiful. I will come again

The villa was clean, well kept and they provided more than expected. The only thing I didn’t like was the short shower curtain and hard shower head stream. It made a mess every time lol. The property is amazing! Great photo scenes and great staff! They had everything we needed and more! We will definitely be returning!

The unit was a one bedroom villa, which was very spacious. The king size bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very large with a tub, 2 sinks and walk-in shower. The location was great, right on the bike path. We would stay here again.

Absolutely loved our 1 bedroom villa! Tons of room, a full size refrigerator & freezer in the kitchen and soaking tub was an extra bonus. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice to sit on the patio & look out at the mountains. The property is beautiful & staff is very friendly. We would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful view and rooms. Our room was next to entrance so the door slamming was not good when trying to sleep.

Shuttle into Breckenridge was great. Room was massive.

We loved this property and we plan to stay there on future visits to the Breckenridge area. Everything in the room was top quality. The staff were wonderful. The views were amazing. The shuttle into town was so convenient. The small pond and stream onsite are beautiful. I was able to go for long walks every day. The pool and hot tubs are great. My husband was able to golf across the road (5-minute drive). Just book it. You will not be disappointed!!

Found the staff rude and indifferent which left the experience wholly lacking.

Our experience at this property was extremely disappointing and fell far below expectations, especially given the four digit rate. Upon checking in late at night, we were greeted by Kyle at the front desk, whose demeanor was unprofessional, unhelpful, and lacking basic customer service or social skills. It was a frustrating start to what turned out to be a thoroughly unsatisfactory stay. The advertised “restaurant” is misleading and does not resemble a proper dining establishment. It offers prepackaged sandwiches, coffee, drinks, and pizza—far from the quality or variety one would expect at this price level. Additionally, the property’s location is inconvenient. It is far from town and ski areas, requiring transportation. While a shuttle service is available, it is unreliable. When I called for a pickup, the driver refused, citing traffic, and suggested I call back in 1.5 hours. I ended up taking public transportation back, only to find the driver casually conversing with management at the front desk. This lack of accountability and professionalism was highly frustrating. Ultimately, I chose to check out a day early due to the persistently poor service. Despite this, obtaining a refund for the unused night has been a struggle and remains unresolved. Overall, this property does not deliver the level of service or quality expected at this price. I cannot recommend staying here and strongly advise looking elsewhere for a more reliable and pleasant experience.

Took too long to check in even though it was not busy. Underwhelming experience at check in.

The front desk staff were great. They were able to get us into our room a little bit early despite housekeeping being short staffed. They gave us the wrong room number but it was promptly fixed and they apologized sincerely. The room was very nice and clean. We did not use the hotel shuttle but if we were there longer, it would have been very helpful since parking in Breckenridge can be a challenge. The grounds and facilities were well maintained.

My husband and I stayed at the Hyatt Ranahan for a few days in the beginning of March. The property and room were clean and we loved having the full kitchen, laundry, and living space. The bed was super comfy (this is REALLY important to us). We had to call the front desk for assistance operating the dryer and not only did assistance show up immediately, he showed us how to operate the machine, and the front desk called shortly after the visit to make sure we were satisfied with the service. WOW!! Then we called to request more towels and robes so that we could venture out to the hot tubs. Again, the individual showed up shortly after the call with our requested items. And again we received a call shortly thereafter following up. GREAT SERVICE!! We enjoyed the close proximity to hiking/snowshoeing trails, and the towns of Breckenridge and Frisco. Would defiitely stay again!!

Staff at this property is terrific. Nick at the concierge desk in particular was super helpful in setting things up for us before our stay even began. Front desk staff was great as well.

Property was amazing and the room itself was nice. The walls are super thin so you can hear everyone around you. Even kids running in thr eoom all night long. The front desk will do nothing about the noise even at 2am. Requested a 2nd or 3rd floor room two months before our arrival and told at chekc in no options were available because I booked our stay thru Expedia and not the hotel company directly. Amazing hotel, horrible service.

The check in process was very poor . We felt like they made us wait until 4 pm just because . Other than that , everything was very good .

Modern lodge with an excellent staff. Easy parking. Well furnished and spacious rooms. Excellent fitness center. Main Street Breckenridge is around 3 miles drive or shuttle ride from hotel. Great place to stay.

Super comfortable hotel. Our room, which had a kitchen, was amazing. The indoor outdoor pool.was fun. The area shuttle was very convenient. Brekenridge was an amazing town especially around the Christmas season. Beautiful lights.

Great location outside of downtown Breck. Free shuttle was a huge perk.

The property was was very clean, well maintained and amenities well thought out. Location is a few miles from town, but quick easy drive or a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes till 9pm. Great patios/decks with nice outdoor furniture.

It was clear, well maintained, in between of Frisco and Breckenridge. We'd like to come back to this beautiful place.

We had a wonderful visit to Breckenridge and this hotel was certainly one of the highlights! The property is beautiful, in a nice spot, and not too far from Main St.. The staff was very nice and our villa was beautiful! It was less like a hotel room and more like a condo. We really appreciate it that you couldn't hear a lot of outside noise, other than when doors were shut heavily. We had a balcony that was huge considering we were in a one bedroom. The pool and hot tub area was really nice though we never spent any time there because there were lots of kids and families present, and just the two of us on an anniversary honeymoon. They had a gaming area right next to the "restaurant", which made wanting to sit in that restaurant type area unappealing. The "restaurant" was really just a sitting area and the kitchen hours were 2 to 9. The breakfast display was very unappealing so needless to say we didn't eat at the property. Outside of that it was fantastic and we would definitely stay here again.

Great place with mountain and river views 3-4 miles from the Breckenridge Town center. They have a few shuttle to the town. We were able to walk one way and then get the shuttle the other way, which was nice. The walk was mostly along the river. The rooms were very comfortable with a kitchenette, sitting room and bedroom, though sitting room has no windows for natural light. Nice big screens in both rooms. They do not serve any free breakfast and nothing hot, though there is a bar for drinks and bar food.

The suite was well laid out and equipped with everything we needed. While we didn’t use some of the accommodations, we would’ve on a longer stay. After a long travel day, it was great to be able to get food and beverages at the bar/cafe. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We would definitely stay here if we’re in the area in the future.

this is a lovely property that could easily be 5 star, the breakfast items are limited, the pool and hot tub are not accessible til 9 am, with a 10 am check out that seems nearly impossible to use. I am a morning person so that was a drag. also, There happened to be kids staying above us running like mad men at 5 am. otherwise clean and comfortable big room.

Great place to stay and great staff. Only complaint I have is that the coffee at the breakfast bar wasn’t great but that’s no big deal. I will definitely book here again in the future.
