The staff at check in and check out were very sweet and friendly. The room was decent size with two queen beds. the bigger fridge was great. the bathroom was fine, luckily there was a window that looked out to a brick wall to we were able to leave it over since there is no fan in the bathroom. the toilet and tub were slow draining/flushing. The pool/hot tub was under construction, which kinda of sucked for the summer but oh well. decent place to stay and very close to everything. Tons of Lime scooters which helped with getting to the casinos a lot faster.

The pool was under construction and we were not made aware. However, the staff was amazing and everything else was great! Old, but super cute, clean and the location is perfect to walk everywhere and never use your car!

For the price the location was perfect. The staff I encountered were awesome. Not alot of staff. Pool should be utilized in a realistic way. Not kept up…… why is it there?

Swimming Pool was out of order, tv was to the side of the bed, room very small, breakfast was pitiful, not worth mentioning, but location was wonderful. Could walk to almost everything. Appreciated the discount tickets for the lake park. But it was a little longer walk than expected.

It was a nice stay. Conveniently close to the casinos. Not too far from the lake. Continental breakfast was VERY limited. No pastries like the website said. Only bagels instant oatmeal and coffee. No hot tub or pool.

Room was clean with a new comfortable mattress. Perfect location for walking to Heavenly Village, the casinos and the lake. The pool is closed, but they give you a pass for a private beach on the lake. Overall, very nice

We usually get an airbnb near the Nevada or California lodge for snowboarding, but it was nice staying in the heavenly village area. This spot was reasonably priced. If the gondola is operating, it is quite easy just walking across the street with snowgear to get up the mountain. Otherwise we found a shuttle stop nearby, also walkable, that will go to the lodges. It seemed to run once an hour (for midweek). The heating unit kept us warm, and was pretty audible. I could sleep through it like white noise, but if you are a light sleeper then ear plugs might help. No loud neighbors that we could hear. The breakfast had oatmeal packets, apples/oranges, hot water/coffee, and bagels with cream cheese. No issues with the room microwave and the fridge was a good size with separate freezer. The room window curtains were great for blocking out light, but there wasn't a separate shear layer that would have been nice.

I stayed here for a week to attend a course. The location is great and I loved the size of the fridge in my room as it enabled me to keep the food on hand I needed for breakfast and lunch. The room was spacious and clean but the bed a bit soft. All in all, for the price it’s great value and I’d stay here again.

Property had bed spreads from the 80s, nothing like the website description or pictures. For $270 a night, I expect better property conditions. The shower stall is disgusting and looks painted over . Cracked walls and scuffed furniture. Would not recommend.

The property was well maintained. Randell the manager was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The free coffee and bagels each morning were a great treat! It is close to everything but also quiet. I will definitely stay there again.

The bathroom was dirty, sink was broken up , moldy and unhygienic. Manager was no show when asked for refund or price difference they refused. We also called Hotels.com they also declined to help. The stay was really horrible so we have decided to complain it to BBB and other agencies.

Very nice and efficient staff. Curtains were worn. Basic room. No art at all. Clean. Refrigerator was noisy, but figured out you can turn off with knob inside. Great location for south shore tourism (heavenly, casinos, restaurants, lake). If more bathroom and general renovation, would be excellent. Well worth the money spent!

Considering it's close to a busy area, it's pretty quiet. Room and furniture are a bit older, but functional. Bed is not super comfortable, but not horrible either. The biggest complaint I have is that there are not power outlets by the bed to charge your electronics. There is an outlet but it is use by a lamp and an internet router. The other outlet is way behind the table on the other side of the room and impossible to get to. This is easily solved if you can get some new lamps that have USB ports and power outlets on them.

Everything was fine except the mattress, the mattress are old , very old the springs are cleared worn-out its almost like your on a water bed its not comfortable at all. The refrigerator in our room makes a lot of noise literally woke us up every time the compressor turn on and off. Whomever designed the rooms and the smoke alarm location was very uneducated inexperienced careless not knowing anything about hotels and comfort, the smoke alarm with a bright lights is directly on top of the bed shinning in your eye all night long. The water pressure in the shower head is extremely low, if the owner thinks they are saving money or water by that they are wrong, it takes 10 times longer to take a shower waisting 10 times more water. Room 233.

Nice location just off the main road but quiet and aasy walk to shopping and some great gbars & dining options and short drives to some amazing hikes We had a great time in Tahoe and were very happy with our stay at Bluelake.

This property is mis-rated hotels.com. The stars should be less for quality of property. The walls are very thin, the beds are very uncomfortable. Bring your own pillow if you don’t want to sleep on a very flat pillow. The refrigerator was so loud and the bathroom was all patched up. It is a very old property, very basic motel. Pool and hot tub are currently closed. The only thing going for this place is the location, walking distance to everything.

Nice accommodation. Comfy beds but window AC units always make temperature control an issue. It was extremely hot on a setting of 68 degrees. We arrived late, so it wasn’t possible to get a feel for that. You can walk to shopping and restaurants. Can recommend.

Everything was just about right, especially the service. Due to an emergency, we arrived about 1:30-2:00 in the morning. The young man(I think it was Taylor?) was very accommodating and pleasant. Great stay!

This location would have received 5 stars but two incidents in my opinion were mishandled by staff. 1) on the first night we arrived, we kept getting calls to phone in the room & no one was responding. It was extremely creepy, we could hear the other person breathing over the phone & watching tv, so we knew someone was intentionally calling. If we tried to ignore the calls, the phone wouldn’t stop ringing. I went over to the front desk to ask if they have call records or see if there was something they could do. They said there was nothing they could do & that they recommend we just unplug the phone. Which I ended up doing. It was like someone was calling to check if we were in the room, it was frightening. 2) the next night my partners key had never worked, only mine but now mine was not working at all. So we went to the front office to let them know our keys weren’t working & they just asked what room we were staying in. No ID checks, not even asking to verify our names, it was insane. This seems like hotel 101, which made the first situation that scarier because it means anyone could ask for a key to our room. Overall, the room was decently clean, it’s in a prime location, & the continental breakfast is a nice touch, but I was displeased with how they handled giving us a new room key & the calling situation. I will have to think twice about staying again.

Nice location just off the main road but quiet and aasy walk to shopping and some great gbars & dining options and short drives to some amazing hikes We had a great time in Tahoe and were very happy with our stay at Bluelake.

The Hotel Location is just 300 metres from Heavenly Village which is the main area for all Restaurants and activities .. The hotel has Free Parking .. It also has Ice / Water Free of Cost and other vending machines .. Had a super stay

We had an amazing stay. Great location and very quick walk to Heavenly Village. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The room was clean and spacious and we will definitely stay here again.

This is my go-to place when skiing at Heavenly. It's quiet (off the main drag), comfortable, clean (daily room service!), and a convenient 1-block walk to the gondola and several restaurants within a block or 2. Free parking, too.

Nice little hotel, had a pet friendly room, pretty spacious and actually quiet, except when some folks were outside first thing in the morning talking very loudly. Other than that a nice place to stay. Walking distance to the state line and casinos. Tons of places to go for food as well

Fantastic location in terms of going out and doing activities! Pretty Simple rooms but they did great in terms of sleeping, plus the heater worked quite well. Suuuper nice people running the desk, enjoyed chatting with whomever was up there. PS. Breakfast is pretty limited so I wouldnt suggest planning your meal there. All In All I would say thats a solid 4/5!

when I booked It was mentioned that they provide continental breakfast but there was no continental breakfast. It was regular bagel and butter/cheese. They should not mention about continental breakfast. They should mention bagel and coffee/tea.

Swimming Pool was out of order, tv was to the side of the bed, room very small, breakfast was pitiful, not worth mentioning, but location was wonderful. Could walk to almost everything. Appreciated the discount tickets for the lake park. But it was a little longer walk than expected.

It was a nice stay. Conveniently close to the casinos. Not too far from the lake. Continental breakfast was VERY limited. No pastries like the website said. Only bagels instant oatmeal and coffee. No hot tub or pool.

we really enjoyed the stay. we would have rated it higher except that the breakfast area is very small and people were lined up for the bagel machine and there isn't enough seating for a motel with that many rooms

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean, and I felt very safe. The location was perfect for skiing at Heavenly. It was also very nice to be within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and the casinos. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the continental breakfast (bagels, fruit, oatmeal, coffee and juice). I will definitely stay here again.

This is a decent hotel in South Lake. We chose it because of the proximity to the Heavenly Gondola and the included breakfast. The room was a little dated but seemed clean. The breakfast was definitely not great, just bagels and oatmeal with coffee and tea. It would be nice if they offered a protein. They did allow us to leave our vehicle there the day of checkout which was really great.

Well-maintained. Rooms of good quality for this price. Everything went smoothly. Only minor complaints were chips of paint missing in the bathroom (only in 1st room I stayed in; 2nd room was better and bigger), and a rather meager lineup of breakfast items. But it's better than no breakfast at all. Really convenient location. Great rate, possibly due to the pool and hot tub being closed. Both are rather small, so you're not missing much.
