The Cabin at Windy Gap

This property has a great view and ambience. The fridge is a little small and the road is gravel, but the reward is huge. The bed is comfortable, and kitchen area is great, well equipped, and large enough to dance :-) There is even a CD to listen to the hosts great recorded music on a Bose. It is close enough to any services needed easily and yet feels like country. We loved sitting on the patio in the AM and the PM and saw bats, hummingbirds, lizards, all the plants found in Joshua Tree, bunnies, and were even entertained by 2 roadrunner birds (no coyote however). It does not have a TV but we did not miss this one bit !! If we are in-area we would seek this home for sure.

The patio had an east-facing exposure which made for nice sitting in the sun and reading. The rental was one of the cleanest we have had. The owners were very helpful. There were a lot of little gems that decorated the place. We were finding them till the day we left. Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

An ideal little spot for a solo traveler, couple, or small family looking to explore JTNP and the surrounding area. Super clean and smartly decorated. Can't recommend enough!

The cabin was just what we needed for the beginning of our trip...a nice clean QUIET place to put our feet up so we could get out hiking the next day. Hosts were very kind and polite and the cabin was very clean. Bathroom could use some updating but everything worked fine and all was in order. Seriously quiet even though you could see the town and roads down below...could not hear anything... enjoyed it very much.

Cabin at windy gap was the perfect place to relax and share meals after exploring Joshua Tree National Park and surroundings. The cabin was clean, well equipped, and became our home away from home. The property is nicely decorated and the flora and fauna are a great intro to what the area has to offer. The hosts are hospitable and communicative. Highly recommended.

The cabin is located in the middle of a desert but with many beautiful spots. The host's house is nearby, so you may get help easily. You can find Walmart or ALDI within 10 mins. But the place is quiet and peaceful, especially at night. The whole cabin is surprisingly clean. Nicole is very nice and helpful. We really enjoy the stay.

The cabin was a perfect spot for 2 people visiting the Joshua Tree Natl Park. Very clean and had lots of amenities - great coffee, French press in addition to a regular coffeemaker, and large windows in living room and bedroom showcasing the amazing sunrises every morning. Close to Park.

Perfect spot! The cabin was cozy yet spacious for two people. It had everything we needed to relax while being comfortably protected from the blistering heat outside (A/C works great!). You feel tucked away with a great view and yet you're just a short drive into town and to the park. Would happily return.

My daughter and I stayed here for a mom/daughter trip before she graduates college and goes off into the world. This home was the perfect place for us. It had everything we needed to make this a special trip. We had a view of the sunrise every morning. The area had the perfect view of sunset in the evening. And because there is no light pollution, we were able to enjoy the gorgeous evening sky. The home is very well kept. It is cozy warm for the cold evenings. It is plenty cool during the daytime when the sun is out and warming up the place. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals. I can't say enough great things about this place. I was beyond satisfied with everything including the privacy of the place, the communication with the owner, the beautiful property, the amenities, and the proximity to Joshua Tree. I will most definitely stay at this place the next time I visit Joshua Tree.

Stayed here for a solo trip to JT. The place couldn’t have been better. Very thoughtfully decorated. Close to town, but still has the remote feeling. Easy access to the park. Looking forward to staying here again

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for our exploration of Joshua Tree National Park for two days. We met the two pups, Sahara and Pepita who were very cute and gracious along with our host Micah. The place was so comfortable and with beautiful view all around.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin in Joshua Tree. Just a little confusion with the directions but Nicole was very responsive. It is a nice peaceful location and close to Joshua Tree NP. Would stay there again if we venture back out that way.

We absolutely adored this place! The owners sent incredible directions and left the lights on since we were getting in after dark and Google often goofs up out there. I really wish we had been able to stay longer and that it was warmer because the setting was exquisite with 360 degree stunning views. I could not resist working out in the surrounding nature the morning before we had to catch our flights even though a surprise storm had rolled in. As for the inside...so cute! The picture windows and sliding glass doors were perfect for just sitting and peering outside at all the beauty! The interior was absolutely adorable - loved all the furniture and decor and plants...and there was coffee!!!! We also had no problems at all with wifi. A quick drive into Joshua tree was all it took to get a bite to eat and it was within minutes of the Joshua Tree National Park entrance. We're actually talking about coming back to this precious cabin because we wanted to stay longer than just a weekend when it's warmer, clearer, and when the full moon isn't out so we can bring the astro equipment!!! To top it all off, they checked in with us after we flew out to make sure we had a good stay - it wasn't just good, it was divine! Thank you for letting us stay - my only regret is that I did not get to thank you in person or meet your pupper! LOL

We really enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend for being very close to Joshua Tree, and for the beauty and serenity. Hosts have done an excellent job of furnishing and stocking and communication was great! Loved the nice Joshua Tree Coffee!

We absolutely loved this property. It was easy to get to, we had plenty of privacy, beautiful views, and the amenities were excellent. I have to say too that our communication with the property manager/owner was the best ever. This place has been by far our favorite place to stay out of all of our vacation destinations.

A relaxing weekend away with amazing views both day and night. Not quite as secluded as I had expected, but still very private. The Vrbo was so cozy and the vibe was on point. A great place to enjoy the desert landscape and wildlife.

Great location to Joshua Tree National Park. Great view and a perfect place to stay. Pappy and Harriet’s is a must to take in a show. The Tiny Pony has great food. The hiking at JT was fantastic.

Thus was the perfect location for our Joshua Tree experience. We felt like we were staying in a nature park.
