I believed the positive reviews on this hotel when I booked it-- big mistake. It's close to everything, I'll give it that. Here are my issues: parking was ridiculous, very limited, and you have to drive to it (traffic around that area is terrible). I had called earlier and asked about parking and got the "No problem!" response--ha! We arrived at 4:00 PM and the lot was almost full. We did get the last spot, but then couldn't get out the entire two-night stay. Some visitors even park in the middle of the lanes and then you're stuck there! Or the lot fills up and then you have to drive over to the Ovation shopping center to park; the hotel feels old and spare overall, very basic furnishings; no coffee/tea in room; decor old and sparse; no elevator; teeny TV (my computer monitor at home is the same size); broken clock; very squeaky bed; deadbolt on my door was not working properly, so it didn't feel entirely safe; the breakfast needed some protein and fruit to it-- it was nothing but carbs. The employees were the positive thing about the hotel: front desk people were very helpful and friendly. I felt bad for them that they had to explain the parking issues to everyone so often. The breakfast woman, Patricia, was outstanding-- so eager to please and friendly. She's the star of the show there! Don't let the term "Executive" fool you in the room descriptions. There's nothing executive about the rooms we had. Honestly, I expected so much more out of this hotel.

Breakfast was not good at all, just waffles, cereal, toast or bagels. The only fruit was diced peaches. There was a worker there handing out everything so we had to wait in a long line. Breakfast doesn't open till 7:30. They have no coffee machines in the rooms and no decaf anywhere on site. Traffic in the area is horrendous,15 minutes to go two blocks to pull in the parking lot. Not enough parking for the number of guests that pay for it. Very small vanity in bathroom, no place to put toiletries while getting ready. Location was close to Hollywood Blvd though, so that was nice. Man at front desk was very nice and professional but the Sunday morning guy was rude and short tempered. He threw my car keys at me since I had ask for them back since they didn't have enough parking and I parked in the middle of the lot, blocking everyone else in. They took my keys in case they had to move it.

The room was a good size but no view. Pillows were hard. Shower drain horrible water backed up as you showered also the hot and cold water was not regulated. Sometimes it was super hot other times super cold. Parking lot is horrible it’s very cramped. Do not bring any large cars. For the price I guess you can’t complain too much. It was reasonable. Enjoyed the close proximity to all of the entertainment.

No parking!!!!! We were told to park across the street at the magic castle ; blocks away or pay below in the covered parking. We went below but took us to a mall. So!!!!! No parking! I am trying to cancel my reservation but told could not because we booked through Travelocity. This is a horrible situation.

the parking was awful front desk person not very nice got back late and the night person had to park my car in another parking lot then the rude guy in the morning gave me my keys and my car was not in lot so had to go back to front desk the same rude guy said its in other lot and made me walk up the street to get car and bring remote back

The staff was great. The hotel seemed small but the room had enough space. Definitely an older hotel but clean. I was a bit worried about the parking situation. Their parking lot is behind the hotel in an empty unattended lot with limited space

This property was older but clean. Staff was friendly. Side note is there is no elevator. It is only two story so it wasn't a big deal for us but could be for others. Parking is around back but there is a little alley that brings you back up to the front entrance. It was located in a convenient area to access Hollywood blvd easily through the loading dock of the mall or and extra 5 minute walk to walk around the building. The only complaint I have is the sheets were absolutely awful. I should have requested new ones but I didn't. They were pilling and scratchy. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here in the future though.

Hotel is old but well maintained the rooms are clean and spacious. The personal are very polite and attentive to your needs. What i didn't like was the parking. If you drive a big truck or SUV don't recommend this place. Parking spots are limited and no space to turn around. You drive in and to exit you must drive in reverse to incoming traffic on a busy boulevard. I had to drive around for more than 30 minutes waiting for a parking spot to be available and they dont really have any alternatives. Rooms are decent just the parking is a big issue for that reason i wouldn't stay there again.

Perfect for viewing a documentary at the TLC theater. A few hundred yards from the Mall and the theater. On a dead end street so you don't get all the street trafic noise. Parking is a little tight was workable

Nice staff, cute building, great location, beds were comfortable.... BUT overpowering scent of chemical disinfectant that was very unpleasant. I had to wash everything when I came home as it had permeated all my clothes. I'm pretty easy going, and I really wanted to like this place, but the odor of the cleaner was just too much.

Upon walking in we loved the room. Simple and what seemed clean. The floor was a little dirty because my socks were almost a different color from walking on the floor. The real issue was the water temperature. We didn’t have cold water and had a very uncomfortable hot shower. The next day they came and woke us up early in the morning before checkout to take a look at the facet, which they should’ve just waited until after we left because we were all still sleeping and clearly had a do not disturb sign outside our door. Overall it was an okay place to stay for the night.

The worst hotel we found in our 3 week holiday in the USA. The check in was too long. The impression of cleanliness upon entering was not good and unfortunately we had the confirmation when we opended the door of the room. We were struck by an acrid smell of stale urine. It was practically impossible to resist. I went down to reception to communicate the situation. The guy at the front desk took a can of deodorant, took me back to my room and started spraying deodorant everywhere saying that the bad smell was due to the outside temperature. With the temperature outside being 42 degrees, no one had bothered to turn on the air conditioning. We did not accept this solution and after several insistences he changed our room. The sense of cleanliness wasn't much better but at least there wasn't that bad smell of stale urine that was in the other room. The morning breakfast was very poor and the person running it made more mess than anything else. GOOD THE POSITION, BUT VERY BAD THE SERVICE AND THE CLEARLINESS

Patricia made us feel very much at home. She took good care of us at breakfast. The front desk staff were also great. My only quibble was the smell of the cleaning products used in the room: they had sweet, cloying smell that made me nauseous. Odorless would bebetter. In the broader sense, the hotel needs to invest in better lighting for the rooms, even if that means charging a few dollars more.

Overall we had a good time. We had a suite with a kitchen. Unfortunately our oven didnt work as advertised. The walls are THIN so we were able to hear everything in the lobby from our room. We could hear everything above us as well as the people who were in the janitors closet right next to us. Our beds were very comfortable, though a little loud and creaky. The free breakfast was nice and yummy. 24hr coffee on tap in the lobby. Loved that! I'm 6ft tall, nice tall shower head and wide tub. Water got EXTREMELY hot 🔥 (which i loved haha). But could be dangerous if not monitored before getting in. Staff was nice and helpful. Good trip and would stay again.

This was our first time staying at this hotel, and we all agree we'd stay here again. The kitchenette was really helpful and the room felt spacious. It's in walking distance of SO many places regarding the "Hollywood" tourist experience, which is what we were doing. Parking is a little tricky, but then again it's LA. The building is clean and the staff is very friendly. :)

It’s very old and has a smell of old. No ventilation in the hallways which makes it hot and stuffy. The rooms need to be aired out often. The parking is a bit of an inconvenience but overall good for what we needed. Bed was comfy.

This is a very old hotel. Room had peeling paint. Very loud window type air conditioner. Beds were ok. Parking is awful. If you have anything other than a compact car you will struggle. The breakfast is waffles, bagels and cereal. A very nice woman makes all of it for you. It worked for one night.

I definitely would stay here again, our room was large, had a nook with a small refrigerator and 2 person dining table, and closet area off the bathroom with a vanity table. It was very clean. The king bed was really comfortable and we slept well. Check in was quick and the staff were all so nice and friendly. It was within walking distance to Hollywood Blvd and an open air shopping mall. We had lunch there at Dave & Busters, there's also a sushi place, a place to grab coffee and a California Pizza Kitchen.

The location to Hollywood Boulevard was great! Especially when we figured out the shortcuts. The staff was excellent! The reason for my rating was that our room had signs of need for significant repair. The floor by the sink was collapsing with tears in the vinyl flooring, the vanity was quite old, discolored, and peeling up, and in the kitchen area I wiped significant dust off of the walls. I felt safe and I'm not uppity about my accommodations. The room we had needs to be addressed.
The location to Hollywood Boulevard was great! Especially when we figured out the shortcuts. The staff was excellent! The reason for my rating was that our room had signs of need for significant repair. The floor by the sink was collapsing with tears in the vinyl flooring, the vanity was quite old, discolored, and peeling up, and in the kitchen area I wiped significant dust off of the walls. I felt safe and I'm not uppity about my accommodations. The room we had needs to be addressed.

Our room had a nice kitchenette. A stove/ oven, fridge, microwave. And pans, utensils and plates/ bowls. We also were essentially a 2 bedroom with 1 bath. Plenty of closet space. Plenty of drawer space. And, enough towels for the both of us. Usually, we get 1 towel a piece. Not here! 2 large towels! The staff was wonderful. They were all helpful and suggested ideas on places to go. They recommend a specific gentleman for trips - around town, to the airport, etc. He is great! If you like waffles for breakfast, this is your place! They also have cereal and fresh bagels.

Breakfast was not good at all, just waffles, cereal, toast or bagels. The only fruit was diced peaches. There was a worker there handing out everything so we had to wait in a long line. Breakfast doesn't open till 7:30. They have no coffee machines in the rooms and no decaf anywhere on site. Traffic in the area is horrendous,15 minutes to go two blocks to pull in the parking lot. Not enough parking for the number of guests that pay for it. Very small vanity in bathroom, no place to put toiletries while getting ready. Location was close to Hollywood Blvd though, so that was nice. Man at front desk was very nice and professional but the Sunday morning guy was rude and short tempered. He threw my car keys at me since I had ask for them back since they didn't have enough parking and I parked in the middle of the lot, blocking everyone else in. They took my keys in case they had to move it.

5 out of 6 people on staff was great. The lady that help at the breakfast bar was outstanding. Now, this guy by the name of Joel was horrible. His customer service skill are the worse. He was extremely rude and unhelpful. I almost check out the first night because of how confrontational he was. The paking situation us indescribable inconvenient. When we first got there my daughter went to the restroom, turning on the light, and the lights were flickering like it was possessed. “Homey, Welcoming, and Full of Heart” Patricia was an absolute delight—warm, accommodating, and made us feel like we were staying with close friends. The breakfast area was lovely, and every little request we had was met with a smile. While the property is older, it’s full of character and incredibly close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The two-bedroom setup gave us the extra space we needed, and it worked out perfectly for our family. We wanted to stay overnight somewhere that was walkable to the Hollywood Bowl but didn't break the bank. Celebrity Hotel was so awesome! Parking is extra and was only $16.75, the cheapest we found of all the hotels in the area. The $200/night was super fair, it's a beautiful old art deco building, the AC in the room worked great! The room was clean, the bed was comfy and had nice white sheets and fluffy pillows. The woman serving breakfast was so sweet, she even toasted my bagel for me. All the staff were friendly and seemed like family. Some of the guests knew them by name so they must get repeat customers. A hidden gem, I almost don't want anyone to know about it! We will be staying there from now on anytime we want to see a show and not drive home super late at night. So many fun places to walk to, we saw a ton of Walk of Fame stars on the sidewalk on the way to the Powerhouse bar. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Lovely hotel and lovely people, 5 stars!

Spent one night to attend the Magic Castle, then a Jimmy Kimmel taping the following day. The hotel was perfectly located for both. Alvin greeted us warmly at check-in, while Patricia, who attended the breakfast room, was so sweet offering great tips for the area. We wouldn't hesitate to book another stay at The Hollywood Celebrity Hotel.

I wish there was a coffee maker and microwave in the room, but other than that, I can’t think of any improvements that need to be made. Would definitely stay here again.

We had tickets for the Hollywood Bowl so we booked a one night stay in this hotel so we could walk to the venue and then stay over night. I wasn’t sure what to expect because this is only a 2* property but I couldn’t be happier with our experience. The room was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The shower was powerful and the towels were soft. The added bonus was the continental breakfast which was perfectly adequate: coffee, cereal, bagels and bread for toast. There is nothing else we could have asked for and we would definitely stay here again when we have tickets to either the Hollywood Bowl or the Pantages. Highly recommend it!!

The room was incredibly clean and nice. The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in the door. It was an easy check in and check out process and it was nice to have essentially private parking. It was also so easy to walk to the Hollywood Bowl, where we were attending a concert.

We had a 2 day layover in LA so decided to site see for a little. Location was great for nearby attractions. Shopping and dining near by. Area was kind of sketchy when arriving after dark but we were ok. Definitely a tourist are so expect a lot of traffic nearby. The hotel itself was off a side road so it was quiet at night. No elevator so keep that in mind for the elders. Don't expect a new modern decor because this hotel is old. Old but still in good shape and clean. The room had plenty of space for 4 adults to share. There was road construction leading to the hotel and sometimes that was annoying.

Was there for a concert with friends. Parking is hard to get to since its in the back. At first it looks like a little unsuring cause of where it is located and no real parking. Once inside it is very peaceful and comforting. The employees at the desk are very friendly. Came in late from my concert. They said hi to us and said goodnight as we walked to our room. Everything at this hotel was exceptional. The staff was very courteous and helpful with directions and dining out suggestions. The room and bathroom were extremely clean, we had a refrigerator and a microwave in a breakfast nook. We went to a concert and when we came back the parking lot was full so the staff valet parked our car at no additional charge. The breakfast was typical continental with homemade waffles, exceptional staff helped with breakfast accommodations. Coffee tea and water were available all day and evening. The location was one block off Hollywood Boulevard and we were 20 minutes from the Saban Theater. Highly recommend!

This was a great facility and the staff was very nice. My only remark is that there were not any power outlets available near the bed for charging or our CPAP and the breakfast was very limited (and not gf friendly).

Patricia was such an amazing lady who helped me with my morning coffee and breakfast. Did I mention there’s a free breakfast here? It’s free, and therefore, delicious! Had a great lil staycation here… felt like home away from home.

The hotel is very well located for easy access to the metro and also the tourist attraction of the Hollywood Boulevard. The staff are excellent and willing to help whereever they can. The hotel does need some upgrading in the rooms though
