Yosemite View Lodge

Not their fault, but the power was out for several hours and cable was totally out. Otherwise a good stay. We enjoyed the game room.

Excellent amenities! Close to the Yosemite park. Great river view from the room. The kids enjoyed the game room/ indoor pool and hot tub.

Location is 5-6 mins or 2.5 miles from Yosemite NP’s central gate entrance. Plenty of parking throughout property, we were able to find a spot steps away from our door. Our specific room location (Dogwood) was central and closest to the restaurants and lobby/market. Huge plus to have Tesla superchargers on property, although there are lots of Rivian Waypoints throughout the NP if you can get one early enough. Staff were accommodating even though they looked busy. I was able to request toiletry refills by walking to the lobby nearby vs calling. The property overall was full of amenities, perfect for families. Lots of jacuzzis, 3 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool. Gym is small but had the essentials. The huge game room had a pool table, ping pong, board games, tv rooms, etc. Highly recommend the pizza spot. Didn’t try the River restaurant, too expensive & plain. Our room was delightful overall, had a gorgeous view of the rushing Merced River from our window/balcony. White noise from river made sleep comforting. Also made for pleasant mornings to wake up to. The bathroom is outdated. The sink faucet could use an upgrade and major cleaning of hard water deposits. The shower/tub is a bit weak and could use an upgraded showerhead. The balcony could use a routine cleaning of dust and spiderwebs. Lots of flying bugs but none too irritating for us. The fireplace heater and kitchenette was a nice surprise. Overall 8.5/10. Would stay here again next visit to the park.

My stay here exceeded all expectations! This was my first trip to Yosemite and this was the BEST location to stay in the area. 2 miles from the Arch Rock entrance-close to all popular sites in the valley. There were pools spread throughout the property and many small hot tubs also. The small store had so many cute things and tshirts as well as food items and drinks. The room was nice size, included a fridge that actually made our drinks cold,

There were two restaurants on site. However, there was a rolling blackout whike we were there and they did not have backup generators for the restaurants or rooms. We visited in mid August and the temperature was around 100. The rooms got very war. At night without AC and when the power was restored, the AC did not blow very cool air. The rooms are older but nice. The river view was also very nice. Its close proximity to Yosemite's parks entrance is also nice.

Big lodge with so many rooms! But nice and clean, quiet. Nice restaurant, and good pool facilities.

Our group of six women stayed here for a hiking-trip weekend; the two-bedroom suite worked out beautifully for us in terms of space, and we very much enjoyed the pool/hot tub and the on-site restaurants, especially the pizza. We found the location very convenient to the valley, and we all agreed we'd be happy to stay here again.

Location was excellent. Grounds were well maintained. Rooms were clean. We would stay here again.

We found Yosemite very dated/old. Our room wasn’t clean, the floor tiles in the bathroom were really dirty, in the pictures you can see under the vanity the look clean, the carpet wasn’t clean, the dish rack in the kitchenette was dirty and had hair in it. The internet was intermittent and only worked for 1 day, unable to use mirroring on devices, the remote was broken. Spa did not appear to be sanitary so we never used it. The fridge needs defrosting

We loved the nearness and soothing sound of the Merced river from our river view room. The patio condition was ok at best and it had wrought iron fencing separating our area from the next, so little in the way of privacy. Our room was fine other than the fact that it had a cat urine smell that we were hit with when we opened the door. We heard others complaining of the same in their rooms and the theory that the staff used an ammonia cleaner of some kind. We bought a scented candle to help mask the odor.

View was great. Check in was easy. Great location and shop. Restaurant offered a good choice. The rooms were old, tired. Our aircon worked but was so loud you couldn't have it on and sleep. Woke up with several cockroaches running about the room.

Clean room and nice facility, as always. I will definitely return!

Clean rooms, some updates in kitchen and bathrooms. River view also had a mountain view, and the roaring river made for some nice white noise at night

Parking was safe, room was clean, staff were polite. We will definitely back soon for peaceful time and excellent view.

The room was excellent! Comfy beds, clean space AND a little outdoor patio on the river was a definite plus! The facility is a little outdated, but the location was the best for the price, hands down. Everything we needed right outside the gate of the NP. Would happily stay here again if I was headed to Yosemite again!

The location was excellent (El Portal) and the rooms were facilitated with both a microwave and a refrigerator. I was also pleasantly surprised by the number of outlets in the bathroom. I slept very well here, which was necessary given the intensity of the day hikes I was doing in Yosemite. However, there were two problems: 1) the wi-fi, and 2) the condition of the refrigerator. The wi-fi was unreliable. There were times when I could not access it when I needed to for work. It was explained to me that this was due to the volume of people on it. There were also times when I could not send a text with a picture. When I entered the room, the refrigerator had standing water and moisture in it, which was a lingering problem throughout my stay. I prioritize consumption of fresh fruit during long hiking trips, and I lost two oranges to development of mold while being stored in the refrigerator. This did not occur during the prior week at the John Muir Lodge, which was able to provide a dry refrigerator. I would encourage Yosemite View Lodge to address wi-fi and the condition of the refrigerators in the rooms.

Great location close to arched rock entrance to Yosemite NP. Facilities are very goox with two pools which we didnt use, a nice restaurant and pizza place and a well stocked gift shop and food market. Thd room was nice with a mini kitchen a lovely balcony that looked out on to the river. Bathroom was nice although no shower gel. The air-conditioning didnt work, but ceiling fan help keep the room cooler.

Close to the park, this is still a good place to stay for easy access to YNP. The rooms are a bit dated although they made great effort to refresh them. The deluxe room has flooring instead of the old stinky carpet which is great. Table and chairs, two hot plates, fridge and microwave are really helpful. What I had an issue with is the smell of the bedding. Too much body odor in the pillows and the mattress. Even though the linens were fresh, the B.O. was strong and we had to ask for different pillows to cut the smell. Also: there is a jacuzzi in the bathroom: not my favorite, I prefer a simple bath tub. It is not going in the way of water conservation since this jacuzzi is as big as a swimming pool. The noise of the jets also resonate with the adjacent rooms and that's obnoxious.

Room was perfect with a very comfy bed!

This is a mediocre hotel in a great and beautiful location. The hotel has lots of amenities, and is in a beautiful location near the entrance to Yosemite and right on the Merced river. However, we had several problems with the room, and the Wi-Fi was terrible. We could not get wi-fi in our room in the Black Oak building (it's the farthest away from the central registration building). We could not call, text or use the internet. Also, our TV would lose service connection about once every hour. The only way we could connect to the internet was to go to the registration desk area. They obviously need to increase their wi-fi strength. In addition, our remote control for the air conditioner was fairly useless. We could either turn it on (too cold after a while), or turn it off (too hot). The fan adjustment and temp adjustments did not work. In addition, there was no electrical outlet between the two queen beds. There was one outlet behind one of the beds, but you had to move the bed out to reach it. Also, the jetted tub was too high for older people to get in and out of. The two great things about the room were that it was very quiet and it had a balcony which looked out upon the river below.

This is not the sort of place I wouldn’t normally call 5 star but for this trip it was exactly what we wanted- we just wanted to be close to the park. The kitchenette was stocked enough for what we needed and it allowed us to bring lunch into the park. The view of the river was gorgeous too!

This property is in a good location to Yosemite National park and is right above the Merced river — which is nice. But it was very difficult to get the temperature in the room to a comfortable level. Also there was as an annoying light on the Air conditioning unit that keep the room too bright when trying to sleep.. They need to correct this issue

Convenient location, nice property and clean room, with a small glitch - WiFi is almost unusable when many guests use it at the same time. So be prepared for very slow WiFi during summer.

This was a very nice property. Loved being right on the river. Store was well stocked and convenient. Brunch was great! And the game room was a nice amenity that most vacation properties don’t normally have. We had a problem with the power and a/c in our room but they quickly moved us to a similar room.

The hotel’s location and check-in process were great. It was quiet and not too far from the entrance of Yosemite National Park. The lobby also had a convenient gift shop and mini-mart, which was a nice touch. However, the Wi-Fi in our reserved room was extremely poor. When we went to the front desk for assistance, the staff simply said there was nothing they could do, without even offering an apology. Additionally, we had booked a two-level room, but when we checked in, the air conditioning had not been turned on. As a result, some of our group who stayed upstairs had to sleep in an uncomfortably hot environment.

Friendly desk staff. The only issue was PG&E deciding to do line maintenance and outing our power. On site restaurants decent.

Check in service was so slow and not well organized.

We stayed for two nights. The environment and surrounding areas are beautiful, and the location is very convenient, just about 10 minutes from the Yosemite park entrance. However, the service was disappointing. We requested to have our room cleaned the next morning, but no one came. It also took an extremely long time to receive basic items we asked for. The setting is great, but the service needs improvement.

Parking was safe, room was clean, staff were polite. We will definitely back soon for peaceful time and excellent view.

We enjoyed our stay at Yosemite View Lodge. This was our second time staying here. I appreciated the small kitchenette in the room. Made it easy to have a quick breakfast before we headed out and a quick dinner at the end of the day. The location is amazing. It's right along the Merced River and a quick 5 min drive to the Arch Rock entrance to Yosemite. The grounds are inviting and well-kept. The hotel was well-lit at night, but still dark enough to see the beautiful stars! We will stay here again in the future!

Great location and literally just a few minutes from the gate to Yosemite. It was wonderful just sitting on the balcony and relaxing and watching the river after a long day at the park. Hotel has obviously been there for many years and it is showing its age, but we found it perfectly acceptable.

Great location and just outside the park. Very clean. Only downside is the food options. The pizza place was great. The restaurant was dated and just ok. Overpriced and you have no other choices.

Restaurant was overpriced for the quality. Nice that you could have unlimited coffee after paying for the cup. The hot tub temperature could have been a little warmer. Beds weren’t that comfortable. Overall a nice place to stay that was close to Yosemite.

We loved staying at this place. The location is awesome, the room we got was very spacious with all the amenities we needed and had very comfortable bed. The only thing that was not so good was that we and probably other tables had to wait for almost an hour for our dinner to arrive at the River restaurant on week night.

Dining option is limited but not the ideal. The restaurant has the worse cook ever, chicken wings is one of the most easiest cook but still over fried the wings. I ordered two orders, both came out over fried after 1 hour wait for just two to go order. But on the other hand, pizza restaurant is not the best but way better than the dinning one. No bath towels in the room after checked in. But other than that, the front desk, maintenance team are professional and helpful. The worse things beside the restaurant cook staff was the wifi. Couldn’t connect at all. Spent almost 8hundred for just 2 nights and got no connection to the wifi at all.

The room was great no complaints at all. The restaurant however has very subpar food. Worst burger I ever had. They gave us a window seat. Windows were so filthy and full of cobwebs. they need to wash them. Went to breakfast this morning. Food was OK, but it was buffet & not real warm. Lots of options.

Good location. I like being next to the river. I like soaking in the river. Decent grocery store attached to hotel lobby. Decent kitchenette in room. Nice balcony overlooking the river with furniture. No cell phone service. Internet service not great, often did not work, so I had trouble connecting with home. Decent pool and hot tubs. Pool area areas frequently ran out of towels. Large motel with many rooms, but only two small areas to eat, one a sitdown restaurant and the other a very casual pizza restaurant. Nowhere around the hotel to eat.
