The only problem we had is there aren't enough chairs and tables around the pool to relax. There are no loungers to lay out on and there are no umbrellas. There are only two tables and four working chairs. The pool stayed pretty busy all day so it seemed like there's enough need for these things.

La Quinta gave me affordable, solid-quality housing for a week in Davis, CA when I needed it for a mixed trip (partly work, partly non-work). A very kind desk clerk let me check into a good room 2.5 hours before the formal check-in time, which was invaluable (I was exhausted from several previous days of work). Uber transportation was fast and reliable; walking to central Davis was a bit longish but not unreasonable or undoable. A clothes washer and dryer on my room floor was very helpful indeed for refreshing my traveling wardrobe. The staff in general were courteous and helpful. Morning breakfasts were monotonous but got the job done. Definitely a strong option for visits to Davis.

The reception at this hotel is always excellent. We arrived before check in time, but as my husband is a bit disabled and was unable to cope with the rest of the day, she allowed us to check in early where he could nap a bit. The elevator was out of service, and that was the only problem we encountered.

I asked the a man in the cleaning crew to make sure we got fresh towels when the cleaned our room. I told him the room number and he stated he would take care of it. When we got back that evening from moving daughter into her apartment, not only were there no clean towel, the room had not be done. They didn’t come in to clean. Bed exactly as we left them. I will not go to this hotel again, worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

The hallways smelled so bad! The third floor smelled like marijuana. The sheet in our room was so worn that we asked for a new one. They brought me a new one and it had a hole. Defined needs some work. Wouldn’t stay again.

The room was semi clean. We didn't have enough towels. There were stains on the pillows, and they were flat, we found a lot of hair in the sheets. We were close to the lobby which was super loud at night. People were hanging out talking. Thankfully it was just 1 night stay.

Our sheets had all sorts of stains (some looked like mold) and hair on them. The floors was dirty (so we kept our shoes on - not great for getting in/out of bed). The shower curtain doesn’t stay up (why is it on a curved rod that isn’t compatible with gravity?) so water kept getting all over the bathroom. Also when you’re not very full, please don’t put someone in a first floor room right next to the entrance off the parking lot. So loud and unpleasant

The staff was okay, but the room is dirty. Upon our arrival into our room, the room looked well kept, but once we flipped the cover over, there were tiny dead bugs/eggs under the covers. The chairs were dirty too. The only reason we stayed at this location was because my daughter was visiting Davis. The only positive is the close location to Davis.

The price was in my bidget because it included what seemed like a variety of breakfast options. Breakfast consisted of breads n fake bacon n weird sausage links. The only eggs were the refrigerated hardboiled pre packaged kind. I stayed for 3days, 2nights. When i returend from my outing on day 2 i was disappointed to see room service did not tend to my room at all. When i went to the front desk to request clean towels since mine had already been on the floor they only had 2 of the 3 i needed and told me to get more in the morning. When i advised my room had not been tended to, the uncaring and unsurprised clerk just said sorry. Didn't ask which room i was in or to see if there was anything else that could be done. I was happy because the location looked safe and being a single female traveling on my own, that was important but the rest of the expected amenities were also a factor. Will not be visitng this hotel again.

We were visiting UC Davis, so the property was close to the campus which was great. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds. The room and bathroom were definitely outdated and water pressure wasn’t great. However, beds were comfy and staff were really friendly.

Not as good as the old LaQuintas. Bed was ok, clean and comfortable. AC was noisy. Bathroom stuff skimpy. Towels clean and comfortable. Plumbing could use a remodel.

We were a group of 10 in town for a reunion. When our VRBO cancelled our reservation THE DAY before we arrived, we had to scatter all over Davis to find a reservation SOMEWHERE ( it was also UCD move-in weekend, so it was very challenging to find a place to stay). Three of us ended up here at LaQuinta. As disappointed as we were that our group couldn’t be together, our stay at LaQuinta absolutely turned our disappointment into cheer. The woman at the front desk who checked us in (Alicia) was so kind and sympathetic to our plight, and got us rooms near each other. Our room was clean, and well-appointed for what we needed. The beds were VERY comfortable. The A/C kept us cool and content in the 95 degree heat. Ample free parking. Remarkably quiet, even though our room faced the interstate. Thank you LaQuinta for your ability to accommodate us so nicely at the last moment.

Our dog and our belongings got locked in the room due to a faulty electronic locking mechanism. The kid behind the counter hid in his little room and had to be summoned not once, not twice, but three times to help. His incompetence and complete lack of any idea what to do was extremely concerning and the fact the hotel nor management never followed up after was unacceptable. You get what you pay for.

The hallways smell of rotting food. The overall condition of the property was very poor. Stains on the carpets, furniture and bedding. The breakfast was horrible. Expired milk, old nasty fruit. The staff was rude and unapologetic. I reserved a room with access for a disability and first floor. I arrived 10 minutes after check-in began and was told to enjoy my third-floor room. Using the one elevator was painfully slow (10-12 minutes to get from third to first floor). Staff told me it was first come first serve for rooms. I've stayed there several times over the last few years for trips to UC Davis......Never again. The staff asked a ton of questions about my VA service dog that violated just about every regulation as it pertains to registered service animals. HR should take a long look at that motel and train the staff on the American Disabilities Act and regulations on Service Animals inquiry in California. I'll be paying a little bit more and staying at the Hilton nearby for future stays.

We came to visit UC Davis since our daughter will attend there in a little over a month. The check-in was easy, and the person was helpful. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for her name. We checked in on a Sunday, 7/20. The location is great and close to everything, especially the school. We drove around and explore the area. We had a great time. The accommodation is good. Some maintenance is needed but it is clean and comfortable. Our overall experience is good.

Property has/is being updated. Very clean and landscaping is well done while minimal. The bed was fantastic. Breakfast kept me from giving it a fifth star. Only hot offering was sausage links. Batter for waffles was too thin and people were having trouble removing their waffles from the iron. Replenishing oh food and supplies for breakfast was slow to nonexistent and I visited on a Monday night in late April when there were very few people in the dining area, and it was the middle of the service times.

I had a comfortable stay here. There is construction being done on the street in front of the hotel which was quite loud pretty late into the night. The breakfast is a little pathetic and ends quite early on weekdays.

Last minute reservation due to our original hotel pool was not in service the day we arrived. I found this reservation available. We checked in, everything went smoothly, the staff was very nice and welcoming. We got to our room and it was clean, ac worked, tv worked, theres a min fridge and microwave. Pool was lovely and quiet. Nice area! The breakfast was more than we could have hoped for, it included waffles, bagels, pastries, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereral, coffee, milk, oj, etc. Great selection!! We will be booking again and will recommend to others.

Nothing fancy, but the employees are courteous and efficient. The hallways need new carpets, and the paint should be touched up, but the room was clean, and was also cleaned daily. Breakfast was simple, but included a waffle maker, and sausages and bacon to go with the cold options. Food was replenished often. Perfect for visiting my daughter in Davis.

We have been staying here a few times now as it is convenient to UC Davis. We would like to see the hotel provide scrambled eggs and 1 meat item instead of 2 meats (sausage and bacon). They have hard boiled (cold eggs).
