This is a good place to stay, and we like their one bedroom rooms. The only complaint I have is that the jacuzzie seldom works. The problem for me is that I like to stay at hotels who have a jacuzzie, but it is a real disappointment when they are not working. It seems to me that they should take extra care to keep it operating.

Had reservations for several rooms and front desk accommodated early check in for 2 rooms. Next day was able to make a late checkout for one of rooms. Only complaint would be the limited parking as there is other hotels on both sides

The pool was broken the hot tub was broken . People who pick places for recreation are disappointed when things don’t come together. Although the host did ask if we could use the pool next-door, we went to the hotel next-door and there was no heat there in the water so we came back. I really think there should be compensation a free night a free meal something people. People select hotels based on their amenities. if the amenity is a bathtub and you go there and there is a shower or the amenity is a pool and a hot tub and there is no recreation at all. You feel slighted and you’ve paid for an 8.0 hotel or greater.

Well lighted parking. A bit difficult to find as it was tucked behind another motel. Right next to freeway but not too bad and I was exhausted so was able to sleep through the noise . Night clerk wasn't friendly but morning clerk made up for it. All in all, I'd stay here again.

The elevator was hot and stuffy. Our room was hot with the AC off. Morning breakfast didn't start until 7am, which is 9am in Texas. Too late. Only stay there because of the Denny's next door.

I’m unsure as to why this property has such great scores on hotels.com. Front desk staff were great - friendly and helpful. After that, I was not wowed at all. Pillows were super hard and uncomfortable. The fitness room was tiny and the single treadmill was inoperable and appeared to be that way for some time. Maid service started cleaning rooms nearby at 8am (checkout is 11am), and because the walls are super thin the cleaning created quite a racket in the room next to mine. The breakfast was so-so at best. No plans on returning to this property.

When we checked in, and I first used the bathroom I noticed urine spatter on the floor in front of the toilet. My husband used the bathroom before I did but there seemed to be more spatter than one use. The shower dispenser for body wash was empty in our room and also in the second room we rented. After showering I discovered that there was no hair dryer in our room.when we reported this and were told it was ,mounted on the wall next to the sink. It was not. There was a bracket but no hair dryer. We were not provided with one before we left a hour later. The breakfast buffet seemed limited as far as fresh fruit was concerned.

This place is so badly run down. Pool was out of order. No hottub. Our room was gross, dirty, fruit loops in the ac unit. Stains splashed up on the walls and ceiling. Just seriously gross. I would NEVER stay here again.

During an 8 night stay, the room was only cleaned twice, and we had to request that it be cleaned for those events. Everyday, we had to ask for clean towels. The checkout clerk could only access a receipt for half of our stay, and was unable to provide us with credit for the stays on our Best Western account.

Eh…too expensive for what you get. You can hear the noise in the hallways and the traffic from the Interstate. The rooms need a thorough cleaning as my feet were black on the bottom from the carpet. Some of the towels were missing from the room and we ran out of shower gel. There was no mat for the shower and it was slippery in the tub without one. BE CAREFUL We stayed two nights and there was no housekeeping, not even to empty the trash or replace towels.. talk about the cheap side. I had to get missing towels from the desk clerk. I’m a BW Platinum member and there was no offer of water or any bonus. They stopped evening cookie service so another special service perk gone. Does it seem like I’m being petty? It would just be nice to get something extra for $100 a night besides a semi comfortable bed and a noisy a/c unit. TV programming was a 5 and breakfast was a 6. BW has really gone down hill….at least at this location.

For an older hotel, this hotel a good place to stay. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The bedside lamps only had one outlet to use, instead of two. Would have been nice to have two. There is a breakfast area, wasn’t interested in the selections….decided on the Denny’s around the corner.

Bed was very comfortable, but the laminate flooring could have been cleaner. Considering the Inn is right next to I-10, it was surprisingly quiet. And I felt safe, which is important to me. Breakfast was okay, but the orange juice was brown. I would probably stay here again for the price.

Staff was very welcoming upon arrival. We received a call from the front desk shortly after checking into our room to make share we had everything we needed. Our room and the rest of the facility was very clean. Breakfast area was nice and food was hot and well stocked. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Tucson.

Although the property was adequate, the morning desk clerk was extremely rude refusing to give me a copy of the receipt even though she was holding it in her hand! This was the only hotel during a cross country trip, including other Best Western that did so!

The hotel staff were excellent! Patrick checked us in and he was amazing! He was incredibly nice and accommodating. Everyone working there was very sweet. Property was right off the freeway, but not noisy at all. There were breakfast options, but I woke up too late so I just walked to Dennys.

Due to a reservation glitch caused by Hotels.com … not by the Hotel… Poppy Gold staff was incredibly accommodating. It took one hour to resolve the issue with Hotels.com we were upgraded to a suite at no extra cost for the Inconvenience! Besides that… beautiful Hotel and we would definitely stay at the Poppy Gold of Tucson again.

We were not aware that the facility was not pet friendly until we arrived. We had previously stayed the the Foothills in Tucson, which was very pet friendly. The receptionist made no effort to assist us in finding other accommodations except to point at the Red Lion next door. We drove on the Gila Bend and stayed at a fabulous Best Western.

It was a very nice clean hotel. I did have a problem with the hot water because it was reversed. But once the staff helped me realize that it wasn’t a big deal. I liked how it was kind of tucked behind another hotel. That helped me feel like bike was safer, and the parking lot was well lit. It was close to 1-10 which is nice when just passing through. Also there was a Denny's close by so I was able to walk over and get something to eat. There wasn’t much of a view but I don’t think many Tucson hotels do. So not a big deal. It was a little confusing to me because when you’re first pulling up you see one hotel but two hotel signs. You just keep going on this little alley past the travel lodge and then you get to the hotel.

We loved the cocoa and tea bar in the lobby, along with mints, cookies, and lemonade. We had a third floor room and slept well, even if the hotel was right off the freeway. The breakfast area was a bit small and felt crowded. An adult TV show was on while my kids were sitting below it hearing crude jokes. There weren't many options for vegan eaters. Also, we were sad the hot tub didn't actually work.

Staff was very nice, but that was one of the worst and most stressful breakfasts I've ever encountered. First you need to start it earlier people are gone at 7am. We arrived at 715 and the yogurt machine and the pancake machine was down. Both just simply needed to be filled. Eggs gone, sausage gone, bagels where are you, orange juice was half water 100%. My kid was not happy. People fighting over what is left and I had to ask 5 people to move just to throw my plate of toast away. Pros: apple Juice was good. Everything else just gave me anxiety. Not s good way to start your day and specifically read reviews for a good breakfast place for my family. Next time I'll pay 50 elsewhere vs 125 and use the extra for Dennys.

Check in was quick and friendly. A phone call 20 min later to see if room was all good and if anything else needed was a nice touch. Room was excellent, all facilities needed plus a decent chair to sit in was great. Very clean bathroom. Some modern usb and usb c charging ports would be welcomed. Breakfast hot n tasty with nice variety.

Check in was good super friendly . Room is outdated small but clean. They even came to clean and change all of our sheets and towels the second day in. I loved that since most hotels don’t really want to do that. The pool was clean the jacuzzi was great worked first day in but second night it was not working temperature wise. The breakfast is awful I’m sorry ! Don’t try the gravy plz. ! The tv is small but you can login to your Netflix account which is a plus. And most importantly we always check for bed bugs first thing and there was no sign of any at all !
