Person working at the desk was extremely helpful and maintained a sense of calm checking in guests because the elevator was broken. She was having to help haul luggage up to higher floors and then help those of us who really couldn't take luggage up to higher floors get rooms on the first floor. To get a room on the first floor, there was at least an hour wait to have it cleaned, but it was better than trying to haul my stuff up.

Everything great. Friendly helpful staff. Clean. Nice view from the pool. Perfect stopover while traveling. Except for the shower! Incredibly difficult to operate. We did smell the fast food restaurants while sitting by the pool. We’ll probably stay here again.

I dont usually leave reviews but this trip warranted one. As a military family, we have stayed in lots of hotels across the country. I never expected our stay at a Best Western to be the equivalent of a Motel 6 or worse. I booked the room for my family for a weekend stay, not only due to close proximity to an excursion we had planned but because it had a pool. Upon arrival, the kids were super excited to see the pool and couldnt wait to get in. Came downstairs all dressed in swimsuits, and the door to pool was locked. We went to ask the front desk if the pool was closed and were given a very rude, snotty reply "Yeah, its been closed since October!". No kindness, no customer service attitude at all. My kids are crushed cuz there is a shimmering pool sitting there ready to go, but "won't be open til Memorial Day". 1. The website did not disclose it wasnt open or i would have booked elsewhere. 2. If i had known we were going to be treated like crap from staff, we would've definitely stayed elsewhere. So after leaving Ms. Attitude and going upstairs, i planned to give my infant son a bath. No bath plug. Made a call downstairs to ask if they had one we could use. Snottily informed they dont have any. Great! No pool. No tub. Snotty service. The room was like a Motel 6. There were someone else's hairs on one of the beds. Bathroom was a mess. Breakfast was a joke and the juice machine was broke. We will not be staying at a Best Western again. Update ur hotel. Hire kind staff

Good value, clean property for the most part, decent breakfast (coffee machine grinds fresh so it’s really good, much better than standard hotel coffee), decent gym, room was newly renovated (but oddly did not have a full length mirror or hair dryer), comfortable bed and good shower. Lynette was amazing and so helpful. Give her a promotion! I am a single lady traveling alone for work so appreciated her attention and assistance to ensure a pleasant stay.

Enjoyed the pool. It was salt water and nice. The work out room was clean and machines worked. The room had laminate flooring and smelled good. The staff were friendly. Only issue was the king size bed. My husband and I are small and we had a huge valley in the middle of the bed that we kept rolling in. Definitely need to update the mattress. The bedding was nice.

Good beds but the room smelled like a dog had been in it. ( I like dogs but not fond of the smell in a small space that had carpet) We never figured out how to use the fancy tv and all the buttons on it. The coffee machine in the lobby was excellent. Hotel had 1 elevator that was not working when we left. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The faucet in the shower leaked, no way to get it to stop dripping thru the night. The air conditioner needs a new filter, smelled musty. Room was clean and breakfast was good. The biggest thing that needed done was the elevator. The door shook when opening and closing, the whole thing vibrated when it started moving, and the inspection certificate was 3 months out of date. That honestly was what concerned me the most.

The elevator was broken. Property should have emailed guest and notified us with an option to cancel reservations and stay elsewhere. We had to carry our luggage upstairs, very inconvenient. Property did not seem concerned about inconvenience for their guests.

The lady working the front desk watched me and my family walk all the way to our room on the cameras then called our room to make us pay an additional $30 bc I didn’t include my 1 year old on our itinerary. (Bc Expedia only accepts 6 guests, not 7.) The carpet was also disgusting. Our feet were black from walking on the carpet and it felt so dirty too. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

When I arrived for check in, I was given the keys and when I got to the room.. it was an occupied room. Thank goodness no one was in there! I immediately left out and told the attendant that it was occupied. She found out there was a mishap earlier, but was able to get me another room with no problem. However, the rooms need severe updating, upgrading, and cleaning could be better. The walls have holes and was peeling paint pretty bad, the dresser and TV were really dusty. There were cracks in the paint everywhere, stains on the chairs and couch, the fridge was rusted. It was OK for a one night stay. The entrance is misleading because it smells nice and is upgraded, but the rooms are not.

The entire hotel smelled like mildew and there was water everywhere with no wet floor signs. When we checked into our room the entire took smelt like mildew, there was dirt and bugs all over the bed. The bathroom had mold in the shower and it was not clean. Best Western will not give me a full refund due to their “policy” but the room being uncleaned and nasty was their fault.

Stopped off for an overnight stay while on our way to Florida. Property is nicely kept and very clean. Front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were immaculate and beds were comfortable. Hot breakfast was BW standard but very good. Easy on and off interstate and far enough away with no road noise. Would definitely return!

I typically stay at Hilton or Marriott brands and mostly full service. I needed a quick place stay. When looking at reviews in that area, this hotel had better ones that the select service Hilton property and most of the others in the area. I held my breath and booked this Best Western Plus. It was fantastic. First, it was very very very clean. No weird smells, bathroom was sparkling clean. Next, the rooms are large and contained a Keurig with ample coffee, a business desk and outlets for your phone chargers. Finally, the breakfast was ok. The variety was good but the overall quality was mediocre although the coffee was very good. I understand that is a free breakfast at a Best Western Hotel so I was not really disappointed. I would not have spent money on that breakfast but it was adequate for us. I would stay at this hotel again. There is a Walmart across the street (I was sick and needed medicine, so that was great) and plenty of fast food options nearby. I felt safe in the area as it is all commercial properties in the immediate area.

It did offer waffles, But I do not like to eat that much carbohydrate for my morning breakfast.

The lady at the front desk was so sweet and made us feel very welcome even though we were checking in at 11:30 pm. The lobby area is very inviting. The room was very spacious and it had a Keurig and a ceiling fan! It was a nice and convenient place to stop.

The room was clean, bed comfortable and surroundings nice. I chose this hotel partially for the breakfast offered however it wasn't open until 7 AM and I had an appointment 30 miles away at that time. Chairs were blocking off the dining area but some items were out early. The lady working the desk admonished me for moving the blockade and getting coffee and a bagel prior to 7. Other than that, a nice stay.

There were someone else's hairs on one of the beds. Bathroom was a mess. Breakfast was a joke and the juice machine was broke. We will not be staying at a Best Western again. Update ur hotel. Hire kind staff

I never expected our stay at a Best Western to be the equivalent of a Motel 6 or worse. I booked the room for my family for a weekend stay, not only due to close proximity to an excursion we had planned but because it had a pool. Upon arrival, the kids were super excited to see the pool and couldnt wait to get in. Came downstairs all dressed in swimsuits, and the door to pool was locked. My wife and I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus in Gadsden, AL, and had a wonderful, warm, comfortable stay after a long drive during the recent winter storm. When arriving to the hotel, all the stores and restaurants were closed due to the bad weather so we were disillusioned with the surroundings, however, when entering the hotel we were greeted by the friendliest person with the most warming smile at the front desk. Her name is Lynitte. She made us feel welcomed and assisted us with all the questions we had regarding our booking. She is a true professional and the epitome of customer service. Best Western is very lucky to have such a terrific representative greeting their customers coming off long road trips. After a long day of travel and issues with a previous hotel, we arrived at the Best Western. We were immediately welcome with positivity, charm, and friendliness. Lynette showed us what true southern hospitality was. She went above and beyond offering conversation about the local area, restaurants, relaxation and made an incredibly hard day so much better. We were there for 3 nights. Would highly recommended

MY WIFE'S INTERACTIONS: I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!! It started with Quadruple overcharges & attitudes. And what made it worst is that the agent (Bridget) had the gall to tell me that she didn’t like my attitude (upset) & hung up the phone on me twice, & the third time didn’t even answer the phone. I went down to the front desk where Bridget was with the manager, Shauna. Bridget proceeded to tell me that if I wanted to check out, go ahead (which no one had mentioned). Basically, trying to throw me out because they had made these horrific errors & messed up my bank account, but wanted me to say, oh well do what you want with my money. At this point, Bridget had to get out of my face, standing there still trying to argue with me, so the manager finally told her to go to the back. On the phone with my bank rep (Caprese), the manager of the hotel (Shauna), and I, we finally got the first 2 transactions straight from 5/22/24. Upon leaving Friday, 5/24/24, they messed things up again, and also have the 2 pending transactions still showing (which I didn’t notice until getting back to my hometown). There was a total of 9 transactions for the same amount, and there should have only been one. They tried to blame the first day on a new employee error, but seems like there’s a major problem at this hotel, and it’s not just the new person. With this experience, my supposedly 3-day vacation, turned out to be a complete travesty. Honestly, they should refund me my money!

I typically stay at Hilton or Marriott brands and mostly full service. I needed a quick place stay. When looking at reviews in that area, this hotel had better ones that the select service Hilton property and most of the others in the area. I held my breath and booked this Best Western Plus. It was fantastic. First, it was very very very clean. No weird smells, bathroom was sparkling clean. Next, the rooms are large and contained a Keurig with ample coffee, a business desk and outlets for your phone chargers. Finally, the breakfast was ok. The variety was good but the overall quality was mediocre although the coffee was very good. I understand that is a free breakfast at a Best Western Hotel so I was not really disappointed. I would not have spent money on that breakfast but it was adequate for us. I would stay at this hotel again. There is a Walmart across the street (I was sick and needed medicine, so that was great) and plenty of fast food options nearby. I felt safe in the area as it is all commercial properties in the immediate area.

This is an older hotel but very clean!! The room was very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It is off the highway and very quiet. I highly recommend this place! Great value for the price!

Stopped off for an overnight stay while on our way to Florida. Property is nicely kept and very clean. Front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were immaculate and beds were comfortable. Hot breakfast was BW standard but very good. Easy on and off interstate and far enough away with no road noise. Would definitely return!

The room was clean, bed comfortable and surroundings nice. I chose this hotel partially for the breakfast offered however it wasn't open until 7 AM and I had an appointment 30 miles away at that time. Chairs were blocking off the dining area but some items were out early. The lady working the desk admonished me for moving the blockade and getting coffee and a bagel prior to 7. Other than that, a nice stay.

Bed and bathroom were fine, noise level was low. What separated it from Hampton/Hilton properties was the breakfast. AMAZING coffee machine - lattes, mocha, etc. and good selection for breakfast with real eggs. Woohoo!

Good value, clean property for the most part, decent breakfast (coffee machine grinds fresh so it’s really good, much better than standard hotel coffee), decent gym, room was newly renovated (but oddly did not have a full length mirror or hair dryer), comfortable bed and good shower. Lynette was amazing and so helpful. Give her a promotion! I am a single lady traveling alone for work so appreciated her attention and assistance to ensure a pleasant stay.

It did offer waffles, But I do not like to eat that much carbohydrate for my morning breakfast.

Fantastic hotel and staff! My wife and i spent the night in this hotel last night to attend a function in that part of the state this morning. Upon entry ot the property, we were impressed at how clean the parking lot was, and how the lobby was absolutely spotless. We were greeted by Amber, who informed me that she just moved to Alabama from Wisconsin. I can speak for all Alabamians in saying that Amber is the type of person we welcome as one of us, and glad she is now "home." She went above and beyond to ensure that she expressed her personality and enthusiasm, and is a great marketer for the hotel! The rooms were immaculate, and the beds were comfortable. All things functioned as they should and we had no issues. We will gladly stay in this hotel again, and recommend anyone else to do the same!
