Candlewood Suites Chattanooga - East Ridge by IHG

This hotel was very clean, the staff was pleasant and helpful. The only issue was that the fire door by the staircase under our room was broken and did not latch. We were a bit worried about that and didn't sleep well as a result.

Hotel is brand new basically so in very nice condition and awesome that the room had a mini kitchen. About my only complaint is the refrigerator didn't seem very cold and the ice maker was turned off. There were no instructions on how to turn it on or set the thermostat colder for the frig. Otherwise a very nice option, especially for the price. Much better than the Super 8 next door that is a complete dump.

New hotel. Very nice, comfortable beds. Shower was very low pressure unfortunately. Also, no ice available so had to walk across parking lot to get ice from hotel next door. No ice buckets so was given a plastic bag.

I want to start off by saying the staff here was amazing. However, the pictures of the rooms are slightly misleading. It looks as if the beds are in a separate room apart from the kitchenette area in the pictures (they are not). The building is sharing a parking lot with a Super 8 (not that that's the end all, be all), they're genuinely separated by one thru lane between the buildings. They don't have an ice machine (had to go to the Super 8 for ice). The first room we were given had to be switched because the curtains were ripped off the windows and laying on the couch in the corner. The AC unit in our second room was hanging off the wall, but still worked. The room phone didn't. We just said screw it and stayed lol It wasn't the WORST hotel I've ever booked, but it definitely could use some love from management/corporate.
