Property very old but clean staff not very accommodating

Good location. The property is a little old and past its best but still fit for purpose.

The property needs to be cleaned up outside and upgraded to modern standards.

More like a backpackers than a motel. Considering the festive season, it was very loud and woken 2am by other guests and then again at 7:30am by loud guests. Parking was there but tricky when some guests must have multiple cars. The property overall is run down and dirty. We have been staying here on and off over the years and it seems the property never gets cleaned externally. Internally yes the room has been tended to and set but very basic. Not fresh smelling and missing fly wire on one side of the window, which is dangerous with a child on the second floor. We liked the convenience of it being close to everything and the view of the bay but other than that, the property is not appealing at all.

This was the most expensive motel we stayed at and the worst . Parking is not allocated to rooms . The grounds and rooms are very run down , nothing like the photos. The attractive photos of the restaurant and courtyard are of the hotel next door which is very expensive. Disappointing stay overall .

A bit dated and in need of tlc, but great location and clean comfortable bed.

Rooms are very out dated, decor and furniture and not worthy of close to $190 a night. Limited room facilities. Cleaniness needs to be reviewed with mould in the bathroom, dirty and bug stained blinds, holes in walls and paint peeling off-hiden behind the beds. Under the beds had not been vaccummed. The hotel could do with a revamp, it definately has potential, if owners were to invest.

Bed was great. Towels white and fluffy. Property needs some TLC. Windows haven’t been washed in years. Needs painting inside and outside. Grass needs to be removed from gutters and car park needs to be swept once and awhile. Location of the property is great. No need to use your car but just needs a clean up.

For the cost of $314 for 1 night the room was poorly presented, carpets were dirty, room had 1 little window and traffic noise felt like cars were coming in the window, stairwell and outside was filthy, broken down car taking up parking , we had to park in nearby street. No thanks was not a pleasant get away. Won’t be recommending this to anyone.

Rubbish strewn around carpark. My room not cleaned and no clean towels for the 3 night stay. Could not access clean towels due to no staff on duty. TV worked intermittently. Have stayed here before with great service . This stay was frustrating.

Clean room, very nice staff, great location

Carpet was dirty, blood on my pillow slip, no hot water on the first night. The coffee cups were stained. No washing up facilities for what dishes that were there. Black hair was on the bathroom floor. They have a microwave, heat up your meal and only have a small tea spoon or a knife to eat with. 5 star prices for 1 star facilities.

Comfortable bed, thick towels and clean room. Central to Geelong CBD and walking distance to the foreshore.

Disappointing stay, bathroom was not cleaned satisfactory. Shower head was broken, wouldn't stay up, and had to hold up to shower. Was obvious it had been looked at, as couldn't tighten fittings as they were tightened to the maximum. Informed Manager, and was apologetic, no mention of compensating our stay. Definitely not a $190 room. Good location and easy access to what we needed, only positive.

Was in town for an event and was athe perfect location. Staff were very friendly accomidating a regest for a late checkout for us and allowing our car to remain on site till after the event which was appreciated. However the unit we were staying in did not appear to have been cleaned recently with stains throughout the unit on the carpet, the carpet in places was threadbare and there was biscuit crumbs on the floor. The bedding was also visably soiled. In the bathroom there was a number of hairs evident as well. There was also a strange odour on entering the unit.

Great location. Admitting it is budget, but the cleanliness of doors, table, tv remote and shower were sub standard. It was fine for me, a middle age man who’s not a germaphobe, however wouldn’t suit alot of people, like the rest of my family if they were staying with me

It was dirty. The room smelled.The rubbish bin in the bathroom wasn’t emptied from the previous guest and it was overpriced.

When arrived, we could only get 3 tv channels. Our booking stated cable was available. When asking reception staff they said they didn’t know about it and yes, only a few tv channels available (not HD TVs). I stated the booking information advised otherwise and staff said they’d only just taken over management and don’t know. Upon returning to our room late at night, we noticed our shower had quite a lot of male body hair on the shower base. The previous guest had also blown their nose in the shower and this was dried on the shower tiles. It was too late to notify staff. Our towels were fraying also. No big deal, just unprofessional. We only required a bed & bathroom for the night for a very short overnight stay, nothing fancy. But this was unclean and unhygienic. I work in a family run cleaning business and would never leave a bathroom in that condition. Very disappointed and could not advise staff upon checkout as office closed. Have emailed the property to advise and that we also have photos for reference if required.

Superb location in footsteps to everything. The room was lovely and clean, comfortable and had gorgeous water views.

Aircon had a loud kick back noise which occurred every hour so sleep was not good. Shower wasn’t running properly

We had no hot water and after travelling all day we were really looking forward to a hot shower. Tried to call reception both at night and in the morning but no answer. Friends of ours stayed there too and also had no hot water. Very disappointing

Whilst the location was good the property was very noisy all night. The property was advertised with Foxtel which didn’t work in our room. It was also quiet expensive for what it was

They charge 200 directly to card as bond which is fine. Problem is they don’t refund. Don’t trust them.

Clean room, very nice staff, great location

A great place to stay, excellent location, clean & comfortable room, very helpful and friendly staff.

Went for a work function in geelong. We called 2 weeks prior and spoke about early check in then the day before we called to confirm and we’re told there was no such thing as early check in. The man from the office was never there,so the reception was closed most of the time.

Staff were excellent helping out with a slightly later check out which helped out greatly to pick up our newborn from hospital

The chap at reception went above and beyond by moving our room to ground level when he realised the stairs was going to prove a problem with one of the guests having to use a walking stick. He did this without us having to even ask. Very impressed.

Website says check in is until 9pm, however on arrival had someone pacing the driveway as I had missed a call while travelling there. Great location with everything within walking distance. The room attendants were awesome. Whilst the location is good it is very loud and not somewhere you would go for a restful stay. We checked out early and the instructions on the front door advise to put they key under the front door. Not the easiest of tasks but it got done. I just called the Motel to see if my key had been received as my booking is still appearing as active. The person who answered the phone did not identify himself or the hotel. He could not tell me whether my key had been received. He was quite rude and dismissive. I am glad there is cctv that will show me returning the key.

Made a big mistake booking this motel, room not as in photos, very dated and poor condition. We returned to motel late afternoon to find the cleaners had removed used towels but did not leave any replacements, the reception was unattended so we rang the number on door only to be told he could do anything as he was not on site, reception was still not open upon checkout, so still no towels.

This property was in a great location, with close proximity to the beach, but also walking distance to town for dinner. The room was comfortable for our family, and perfect for our short stay.

It’s a great place to stay before leaving for Tassie on the ferry. Loved the Indian Restaurant that’s part of the motel complex. Other than that - just a good old traditional motel! Not flashy but has everything you need for a single nights stay. And lovely to be near Eastern Beach for a post-dinner stroll!

Very close to downtown . Also handy to waterfront and the activities going on there . A convenient bottle store next door.
