Staff were exceptionally cheerful polite and helpful, Everything was exactly as expected and of excellent standard. The only down side which was not apparent when on the website was the Hotel does not have a lift, we would have requested a ground floor room if we'd known as I have bad knees and this spoilt the stay a little.

The choice of breakfast was great, lovely spacious dining area. The pool and sauna were lovely however the Jacuzzi & steam were both out of action :-( Booked as in a squash Competition and good to go back to the hotel spa & recharge the body! Room was great, everything we needed & comfy bed. reception staff were very polite and helpful...great job!

Great hotel in quiet area. Lovely room with excellent bed and amenities. Plenty of car parking (£5 per 24 hours) and the breakfast was excellent.

Due to the length of time that works have been going on in the gym and spa I have stopped using it. There are much more characterful hotels in Cheltenham if you don’t need those facilities

The hotel reception area was clean & tidy. Check i in was quick & easy and staff member was pleasant & helpful. The room was well presented with ample space . Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The swimming pool was nice with a jacussi, sauna & steam room. The area was clean & well kept.

This is the first time I stayed and I have to say it wasn't the best experience. The issues I experienced. 1. The towel I unwrapped to use after my shower was covered in stains. 2. The bathroom had a piece of excrement that was located near drain that I presume should have been cleaned before someone using the bath due to the health implications. 3. Parking shouldn't be charged, considering the cost of the stay, I feel that this should be included in the cost of booking a premium room. 4. The gym closes at 9pm which is far to early. Positives 1. Bed is comfortable. 2. Good breakfast. 3. Helpful staff.

Great location. Gym and pool arw a huge bonus. The staff are all very friendly nothing is too much to ask. Huge plus point for us was being able cast your phone to the TV to watch Netflix etc. You do have to pay £5 per day for parking.

Stay here for two nights with my family. Nice big room, breakfast was good. staff are super friendly, always say hi and very helpful . The swimming pool and the spa are amazing. Would definitely recommend

The gym is something I'm not too happy with. There is no olympic bars or weighted plates. So you can't do any key exercises like squats or deadlifts or even a bench press. The gym has gone through a refurb but the investment of this has gone into the wrong pieces of equipment. The bonus of the above issue means any one serious about getting into shape probably would avoid such a gym due to key equipment not being available.

This hotel was lovely. Clean and smelled lovely as we came in. Fantastic swimming pool to use with a spa pool too which was an extra treat. The rooms were great and the breakfast delicious.

I give this hotel high marks. It is spotless, the room was perfect. The staff checked in each morning to see if we needed anything, but were not pushy about cleaning the room. The desk staff and restaurant staff were friendly, the staff at the bar even served us, when they were packing up.

Wonderful hotel. It's almost 4*, much better than regular 3*. Everything has been immaculate. The room is spacious, very clean, the toiletries are good, large flat TV, climate control, SPA complex with complimentary access, amazing breakfast, very nice staff. Awesome place. Highly recommend!

The entrance to the hotel was full of smokers with cigarette butts all over the floor which was also dirty. I noticed that this area remained untouched and covered in cigarette butts when we left the next day. There should be a separate area for smokers away from the entrance with a receptacle for the cigarette butts. It’s not a good look! Breakfast was a challenge because we had to ask for drinking glasses and brown bread. There was no ham left and only one slice of cheese. The room was comfortable with everything we needed in it.

Small, but efficient room in excellent condition. Comfortable bed and quiet. Somewhat removed from any walkable pubs, restaurants or shopping, but the onsite restaurant was good. The optional breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choices for hot or cold food.

Really lovely quiet, restful stay for our young family. Spacious room, helpful mini fridge & big bathroom, friendly staff & lovely leisure facilities. Wonderful few days travelling to visit Bristol. Really close to many shops & M5 etc. Roll out bed really good quality, and the main bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever used for my painful back. Would use again. Thank you!

Nice, clean place but the bedrooms are incredibly warm and the air con is restricted to 19 degrees and only stays on intermittently. I found the pillows very uncomfortable but there was a sign in the room suggesting that they offered a variety of pillows to suit individual need. However, when I asked at reception, i was told they weren't sure what was available and would have to check and get back to me. After id not heard back after 45 minutes, i tried to call reception twice and it just rang out for 3/4 minutes on both occasions. I was so tired at that point, I gave up but had 3 nights poor sleep. Two of my colleagues reported similarly negative experiences, a real shame as we have lots of local stays planned over the coming months.

We've stayed at this hotal a number of times and this was the best yet. The room had recently been refurbished and it was excellent. I only gave it 4 stars as the TV in the room didn't allow casting from my phone app when it advertised that it would. Apart from that very minor issue, it was a great stay and a good night's sleep.

Spot on hotel only problem is the heating turns off on auto regardless of temperature outside. Woke up freezing on a couple of occasand in the end asked for portable heater to plug in.

Check in was good, staff very friendly and helped carry my bags up the stairs (no lift). Very comfortable and clean and welcoming to my dog too. My only issue was that, after ordering and paying, it turned out the vegan option was unavailable as was one of the only two other (and only starters) options. Long waits around all of this but the staff did their best and when they refunded me gave me a full refund including my drink and the one vegan starter that was available. I’ve generally had a very positive experience here, would stay again.

Got there at 1-20 in the morning due to work commitments and was told issues with my room and sent to a holiday Inn express about another 15 to 20 minutes drive away after already driving for nearly 4 hours totally unacceptable 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

We had some very last minute emergency and were not able to go, so I contacted the property explaining the circumstances and asking them to be accommodative. The reservation was originally not refundable and I was not looking for money back, but just to move to a different date in the future given the circumstances. However, they were really inflexible and not willing to listen. They clearly prioritized short term profits over long term customer satisfaction. Such lack of empathy and customers understanding will not earn them my business again. Bad customer service and lack of business vision.

Laura at reception was great, really went the extra mile. So top marks for her. However after she finished I tried to book a wake up call. I couldn't get through to anyone. The wake up call was also late. The breakfast staff were not as helpful and I had to chase for my vegetarian option. The other plus points were that the staff were helpful in booking taxis. The breakfast itself had many options and was enjoyable despite the delay.

Nice hotel, rooms are big for English standards and very close to supermarket, shops, etc. Parking is not free but was charged only 5GBP for day, so that was ok. The only downside was that we were traveling with a lot of bags and they do not have an elevator, anyway, they have only 2 floors so we had to go only one flour up. Overall nice stay with no issues.

Firstly, this is a hotel you really have to have brought your car to. If you have a car, getting around will be super easy. Nice comfortable stay, v comfy bed. My only two gripes - the only food we ate was a dessert we ordered (crumble and brownie) both were below average and at £8 that’s bad. The room temperature wouldn’t change, despite me turning on the aircon

It's definitely not in Cheltenham and if you want to visit there, go to the Holiday Inn Express. Out in the wild and woolies but once there, a nice clean hotel.

We have stayed at the Gloucester hotel several times as it is an ideal break on our trips from Yorkshire to Cornwall. The location is great, easy access to the M5 and also to Gloucester centre if you want to wander round - the cathedral is certainly worth a visit and is just a few minutes away. The hotel staff are warm, friendly and very courteous, the food was very good and plenty of space in the restaurant so it never feels cramped. The pool area is clean and well kept, although it can get busy, particularly in the jacuzzi and sauna but that’s not a big problem overall. I would recommend this hotel and I’ve no doubt we will be back.

Overnight stay with my wife, the rooms are comfy and clean. All the staff we met were excellent, especially the restaurant staff. We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast and all were cooked really well and tasted lovely. Well done to everyone who works here.

Check in was good, food is very expensive with hit and miss quality. Cleaners very lazy, left a dirty plate and glass in my room after housekeeping. Doors slamming at 0530hrs with no respect to otjer residents, and to top it off there were contractor's chopping down trees outside my room at 0800hrs.

We have stayed at the Gloucester hotel several times as it is an ideal break on our trips from Yorkshire to Cornwall. The location is great, easy access to the M5 and also to Gloucester centre if you want to wander round - the cathedral is certainly worth a visit and is just a few minutes away. The hotel staff are warm, friendly and very courteous, the food was very good and plenty of space in the restaurant so it never feels cramped. The pool area is clean and well kept, although it can get busy, particularly in the jacuzzi and sauna but that’s not a big problem overall. I would recommend this hotel and I’ve no doubt we will be back.

I booked this for my husband when he was on his way to Plymouth on a motorbike trip to Spain and Portugal. I wanted him to have a place he could relax and recharge before his big journey (Ewan McGregor style). He said he had a lovely nights sleep, the breakfast was the best he’s had in a hotel and he enjoyed his dinner too. Thanks to the staff for making his first night amazing. I’ve booked a litter night for him on his way back in 2 weeks. THANK YOU

All good except when serving food in the bar it would be good idea to take the cutlery and sauces to the customer before the food is ready! Sat there watching my food go cold waiting for cutlery does not make sense!!
