Room was ok and spacious but a bit tired in places. The spa was good big pool but the jaccuzi was not great and the showers in the changing rooms not good and smell. The breakfast was extra £16.50 per person and not a great choice, not the staffs fault they were great.

The pool area was nice and clean and the room was large and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and the food in the restaurant was really nice and reasonably priced. A good distance from the costwolds makes a nice base. Parking is cheap and plentiful. A good stay. Would recommend.

Stayed 1 night

After check in, we went to our room (140) which had a double bed in one room and 2 sofa beds in the adjoining room, lots of space for everyone! One of the sofa beds wasn’t made up so I asked reception for help. They quickly came along with bedding and we went for a swim before dinner. Dinner was served in the bar as there were too few guests to use the restaurant. The food was standard hotel price and quality, it filled a hole but wouldn’t be a reason to return. We returned to our room and despite being a bit too hot, we all slept well. We woke in the morning and fitted in another swim before breakfast. Someone had registered for breakfast under our room number - a non resident and his kids freeloading. My daughter began itching her arm but I thought nothing of it. Over the course of the next couple of hours she was itchy all over and when I looked she had red itchy spots all over both arms, her shoulders and back. I emailed the hotel to let them know so they could check the room/sofa bed and bedding but they haven’t replied. We were due to return on our way back home but have managed to cancel this. We are now out of pocket for antihistamine, creams and washing our clothing at 60 degrees but we learnt an important lesson. I have stayed in many hotels and never thought to check for such things. I don’t think I’ll ever sleep anywhere again without a mattress inspection.

Spa wasn’t open because of being short staffed (can’t be helped not a big deal) Hot tube was too cold not enjoyable. Was no coffee in the room. Had tea and decaf but no coffee. Was also told to bring towels back up to room after the pool to carry on using as they were low on towels. Had dinner there food was really good. However the staff member was rude. I had asked for a drinks menu she told me it’s on the website honestly thought she was joking she was not. I googled it after a few minutes I couldn’t find it. She came over asked if we knew what we wanted to drink yet. I answered I’m struggling to find the menu and she just said I will come back then. Could have just helped and told us what was on the menu. Also, the shower water in the room gave me a reaction didn’t have this problem in the showers at the pool. No idea why but concerning Overall, wasn’t exactly relaxing or that enjoyable.
