Very friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was always someone available to answer our questions, call a taxi, or assist us in planning day trips. Breakfast is served on a lovely roof terrace with a view of the Bosporus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Niles hotel and heartedly recommend it.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Manager went out of his way to help find us a pharmacy open on Sunday. Cute, quaint hotel. Very clean. Great rooftop bar and wonderful breakfast included. Water stations throughout hotel to refill water bottles was a plus. Elevator too!!!

This is a hidden gem among the fast pace city. The lobby is priceless with authentic decor. The top floor cafe offers water view and their delicious breakfast (complimentary) offered more options than my appetite could handle. The staff: manager, front desk helped me tremendously in a city where i only speak English.

This was a beautiful boutique hotel close to the main attractions and a convenient tram stop for those who prefer not to walk. Staff were always hospitable and helpful. We got some great local restaurant recommendations. We stayed in a duplex room which was roomy with 2 bathrooms, one of which was a Turkish style hamam. Loved the quirky decor and attention to detail. Breakfast delicious simple and was varied daily and included homemade traditional Turkish bread and bakes. The only let down was the fitness facility/ gym advertised was not available. Closed for reconstruction we were told. Other than this a marvellous stay.

Great hotel! The hotel is well-maintained, it is clean and has a very unique design - Ottoman style. We stayed in a Junior Suite with Turkish Bath. The management clearly paid attention to small details - from hand- painted ceiling to unique bed frames. The staff is friendly and very helpful. At check in we were served Turkish tea and small sweets which made us feel welcomed. The complementary breakfast is delicious and has good variety - even for picky eaters. The breakfast is served on the terrace with partial view of the Marmara Sea. We tried their homemade sample menu ( at additional cost) - very unique and refreshing. The hotel is located in ok neighborhood- within few blocks from the Grand Bazar, walking distance from the Blue Mosque, and public transportation which we found very reliable, but it could get loud at night around the hotel due to other hotels and restaurants. Overall, it was a great stay.

Amazing Ottoman era lounge welcomes you upon arrival with a Turkish tea and a small treat. The hotel is beautiful! Staff is friendly and give recommendations for your stay. Breakfast on the rooftop offers views of the city and water! You can spend time exploring the hotel just as much as the city. It’s located very near the train for ease of access to sites around the city. Highly recommend this hotel!

Really nice hotel situated in centre of the old town of Istanbul. Roof terrace bar has view of the Blue Mosque. Bar open all night, breakfast also served here, which is also lovely traditional Turkish. The rooms are equally lovely and comfortable well decorated. The hotel is not large and lifts are a little small but both functioned well. Really helpful staff

Excellent stay. Room was quiet and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast included in the room rate was very nice and served on a lovely rooftop terrace. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Helped arrange in advance a private transfer from IST in the early hours of the morning. Was very competitively priced. Overall a great hotel, couldn’t recommend enough.

We stayed four nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel as our base camp. Each day began with a healthy sumptuous breakfast on the terrace and Muhammet's smiling face. On our final morning, Muhammet prepared a special turkish coffee for us; it was equisite! In the evening, we enjoyed the terrace garden sipping a glass of wine gazing over at the Bosphorus Straits. The gentleman at the front desk were very helpful and informative, recommending restaurants, sites and arranging taxi services. The ladies who took care of our rooms were friendly, kind and efficient. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the beds very comfortable. Two additional gems: the authentic turkish lobby where we were served a delicious apple tea and played backgammon and the small but more than adequate gym in the basement. We do reccommend this hotel which is comfortably situated on a side street but easy access to the sites and activities of Old Town. And again, the staff was very welcoming and gracious. Upon our departure, we were wished "a good life" and given a small souvenir for safe travels. Truely beautiful reflections of the hotel experience!

Posizione strategica nel quartiere di Sulthanamed, situato a poca distanza dai principali monumenti. Albergò complessivamente molto carino, bello il roof garden all’ingresso e splendido il terrazzo dove servono la colazione, nonché adibito a bar sempre aperto, che è un plus. Ottima e varia la colazione. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Ottima la pulizia. Ho occupato una doppia standard, un po’ piccola ma dotata di tutto. Unica pecca è che, eccetto il terrazzo con una bella vista, quella delle stanze non è bella ed in particolare a me è stata destinata una stanza al primo piano, quasi piano strada principale che è molto stretta e con difronte negozi e laboratori ed ho dovuto tenere la tenda sempre chiusa oltre a non essere luminosa.

All staffs are very kind, polite and fluently speaking English. Welcome drink has been served. Rooms are clean. Shower with strong water pressure. Walking distance to the major cultural assets.

Very charming hotel in Old town Istanbul walking distance from most of the famous attractions. I stayed here on 2 separate occasions during my last trip. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Hotel is very nice and clean. My room was great, even had heated floors. Rooftop restaurant/bar serves breakfast and drinks all day after breakfast. Definitely will stay there next time I’m in Istanbul.

The Niles Hotel has a terrific staff. It is located just 3 blocks from the tram station, therefore, making it very easy to get to the main sites in Istanbul. Additionally, the entrance to the Grand Bazaar is just a 5 minute walk. The rooms are basic, but fine. The bed was a bit low for me, but overall okay. The breakfasts were fine. We stayed for a full week, and will certainly return on any future trip to Istanbul.
The Niles Hotel has a terrific staff. It is located just 3 blocks from the tram station, therefore, making it very easy to get to the main sites in Istanbul. Additionally, the entrance to the Grand Bazaar is just a 5 minute walk. The rooms are basic, but fine. The bed was a bit low for me, but overall okay. The breakfasts were fine. We stayed for a full week, and will certainly return on any future trip to Istanbul.

One of the best hotels ever. Small, very clean and lovely in an unimpressive (but safe) neighborhood , the hotel has a most attentive and service-oriented staff. They constantly ask what they can do to make the stay better. While all were great, Halil, Ertan, Moustafa, and Giram were exceptional. Hotel has not one, but two elevators! Breakfast buffet and terrace are spectacular! And good coffee! Beer and wine in the evenings are available for a reasonable price. Hotel is happy to arrange a ride for you; we took a taxi from the airport during rush hour and it cost 1,100 Tl (Sept 2023). The tram stop is 2 blocks away.

I dont often write reviews however Hotel Niles is truly worth it. Its a beautiful hotel in the back streets of Istanbul. Entered a small but very traditional Turkish Reception, manned by Ozan, who is the hotel manager. A lovely welcome drink of Turkish tea and turkish delight did wonders to pick up my sugar levels after trekking across the city. I arrived early (10:30) and usually the rooms aren't ready until 2, but mine was. So I was able to check in for my four night stay. I arrived at room 505, a lovely room, not huge but has everything and more that you'll need. There was also a little present waiting for me. I'm not going to spoil what it was though 😍 In the room was a litre bottle of water, with a note to encourage you to fill the bottle from the hotel water machines, to help reduce plastic waste. I quickly unpacked and went to the roof terrace where there are incredible views of the sea of Marmara. Breakfast was made up of turkish dishes, typically vegetarian. There were eggs, salad, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt, cakes and toast with turkish tea and coffee. Plenty to keep you going. I felt really welcome here, like a house guest, not a hotel guest. Will I come back? Yes, absolutely I will.

Very friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was always someone available to answer our questions, call a taxi, or assist us in planning day trips. Breakfast is served on a lovely roof terrace with a view of the Bosporus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Niles hotel and heartedly recommend it.

This hotel was amazing from the minute we entered the staff were incredible. I need to specially mention Bahar(I hope that’s how you spell his name) but he was incredible throughout to helping us book things and just in general going the special mile. The hotel is close by to the main attractions the grand bazar and the blue mosque walkable distance. The staff at the hotel made out stay there incredible, the breakfast was decent but I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you so much to all the staff at hotel niles you are all incredible

The area around the hotel was extremely dirty. There were cigarette butts and trash left everywhere. It’s almost impossible getting a taxi or an uber from this area because of the narrow one way roads. And some of them are blocked off. I stayed in the Sultanahmet area half the time and this was a VERY nice and clean area which was close to all the major tourist sites. Hotel Niles is only close to the Grand Bazaar. That’s it. If you want to visit Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, and the Blue mosque— these are all closer to Sultanahmet. And transportation is easily accessible. The blow dryer at the hotel is cheap and terrible. It’s an eco friendly one with 1 low intense setting that you have to press the entire time you dry your hair. I had to hold this down for 1 hour since I have long and thick middle eastern hair. It was the worst blow dryer Ive ever used. I wish I brought my own. The hotel room was incredibly tiny including the shower. I’m a super thin woman, but not sure how a man or a bigger person would be able to shower in comfort.

As previous reviewers have said, the hotel is very well located, and only a few minutes walk from the Grand Bazaar and (more importantly) the T1 tram route which gives you fast and inexpensive access to the whole of central Istanbul. The street itself is not smart, but appears safe. The hotel is very different from the usual international offering, but in a good way. It is decorated in the Turkish style with ornate painted ceilings and has a slightly old-fashioned feel to it which only adds to its charm. It is in fact two buildings which have been knocked together - the rooms to the right are the junior suites and have their own lift and stairs and are somewhat quieter as there are only 8 rooms that side. The rooms at the back were quieter although had no view. Breakfast was great - served on the roof terrace which a large choice of quality freshly-prepared food which was kept fully replenished until service finished at 1030. The reception team were always available and always helpful with advice, such as how to use the tram! One piece of advice - do not bother with an organised Bosphorus boat trip, but just use the ferries to cross and recross this wonderful seaway using your Istanbulkart. Your will have a much better experience and save yourself a lot of money!

This hotel is in an area close to some of the best attractions in Istanbul. It has very friendly staff that go out of their way to help. Breakfast is great and on the rooftop with a nice view of the harbour. It is surrounded by a number of shops and just a few metres away from the main T1 tramline and a stone's throw away from the massive Grand Bazaar. Highly recommended

Hotel is beautifully decorated, location is the most perfect! So close and walking distance to main attractions. We took tram to Galata tower which was right next to hotel! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok, not many options but the options were delicious. Excellent place to stay, very close to Beyazit tram station and very central to all places. The staff at check in was very helpful, friendly and very clear in his instructions. He also had good advise to see things around and made some very helpful recommendations. The cooling in one of our rooms was not great due to the air conditioning being on the corner instead of being opposite to the bed. The breakfast has options for vegetarians, but felt that there should be no extra charge for omlettes during breakfast. It would be good to have some spare table fans for people who feel very hot. The hamam recommended by the hotel was really awesome. Very clean tidy and excellent housekeeping.

The hotel was lovely and the staff were fantastic. The hotel manager made a point of introducing himself to us and chatting with us a bit about Istanbul. He was around every morning for breakfast, helping out. The breakfast was very nice and we especially like the fact that ingredients were next to each dish so we could check against any allergies or intolerances. Lots of nice touches were around... historical vignettes about the hotel and its owners, as well as decorative touches.

Tremendously helpful and kind staff, gorgeous hotel- solo female traveler staying in Turkey for the first time, was so glad to have stayed here. Easily walkable to the city center and public transit. This family owned hotel is quaint and charming. It has a lot of special character. Hotel staff were all amazing and helpful, especially the owner. Room was uniquely appointed and very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and updated. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was really great with beautiful views. Price was very reasonable. Easy to get around old town with location to Metro.

A very pleasant stay with helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are extremely small (tiny TV) and somewhat dated but the bathroom was clean. Very pleasant rooftop dining and breakfast was very good.
