It's a nice hotel in the downtown, with views from the top floor. The top floor bar was not available to sample due to a private event the night we stayed. There are a few bars/restaurants close in the small downtown area. Unfortunately there was something mechanical making noise outside out room all night after midnight of our stay. It could have been an air conditioner or other device but it make a repetitive clicking all night long. When told the front desk they needed to have maintenance check it out, the response was "did I think it was the rain". It did not rain that night. They also let their employees sit literally right outside the entrance and smoke up the place. It was quite a plume 3 of them sitting there. Over all, it was ok, but not sure it was worth $250 for a simple room.

Only comment- Should have more convenient handicapped parking, as well as all parking. It`s a cramped area, so this might be a problem. Otherwise it was a great stay, and near the Harbor!

The room was very nice, but parking was atrocious especially for mobility challenged persons.

Great hotel, our first time. Really enjoyed our room and breakfast was very good. The view from the top dining/bar area was amazing.

Breakfast was great, people are wonderful, so close to all our favorite places to eat 🙂 only 1 thing was a little difficult, was parking, not enough.

The bar is on the 5th floor overlooking the harbor, which is cool, but all you hear all night is stomping, chairs moving, and loud music. Im a fan of bars, but not in my hotel room while im trying to sleep. Limited parking as well.

It was an ok stay. The staff is really nice. Room was ok. Charged me an extra $80.00 only got one bottle of wine didnt drink it because it was gross. Had to open it myself as the girl.in the main lobby didn't know how to open corked wine. Never went upstairs to the bar, as i could hear the wedding party above sliding chairs across the floor. So if you stay try to be on level two or 3. As the bar is above floor 4. Also terrible parking for hotel guests.

This was a cute unique hotel. Not only was it clean but it smelled clean! We checked in late and the front desk girl was welcoming! Everyone was friendly throughout our 3 night stay. The Main Street shopping and food was wonderful!

This is a beautiful new hotel overlooking Ashtabula River and Lake Erie. Accommodations are modern, cean and comfortable. There is a top floor bar that looks out over the marina. Restaurants in walking distance. Highly recommend.

We are from Pittsburgh and stayed at the Riverbend in Ashtabula for a quick two-day get-a-way. Found the hotel and room beyond clean. Every area was spotless [ lobby, hallways, rooms, bathrooms, etc.]. Had breakfast at the buffet both mornings. Although not massive, which we were not expecting, the choices were quite satisfying and everything was well prepared. Breakfast was a nice added touch. Could have done without FOX news being played right above the buffet on our second day though. Parking at the hotel was easy and convenient. Overall, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay and would definitely go back. Thank you to the staff for your efforts.

While traveling for business we opted to stay one night on our trip home. After several miscommunications during check-in, leftover food in the fridge, used toiletries in the bathroom, and faulty keys; we questioned whether our room had even been cleaned. Bringing these items to the attention of the desk staff we were moved to a new and larger room and given a 25% discount. Thrilled to be on the last journey of our trip home we looked forward to a hot shower and some well needed sleep. Unfortunately for us it was anything but restful. The room was located next to an ice machine and underneath the hotel bar / dining area. We could hear people in the bar well after midnight and folks getting ice at all hours of the night. After a fitful couple of hours we were awakened at 5:45 am to chairs and tables scraping the floor, utensils, pots and pans clattering above us. Obviously staff was preparing for the hotels 'free' breakfast. We expressed our concerns the next morning to hotel desk staff and asked to speak with a manager. We were told the manager was not on duty that they could be reached at a telephone number and an email. The billing did not reflect our discounted room rate but we were assured the charges would be handled within a few days. To add insult to injury our email and phone calls have yet to be returned by management, nor has the billing for our discount been adjusted. A stay with the Riverbend is not one we will repeat, it was truly a terrible hotel experience.

Great Hotel! Courteous staff who are very attentive. Very clean rooms and comfortable bedding.

Hotel was awesome. Loved our view. Rooftop bar is great. The only complaint is the water pressure in the shower. It was terrible. Truly could not even get the soap out of my hair.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and bright. The room had everything you needed. Front desk manager was awesome after I had an issue with my reservation.

Excellent location, beautiful rooms, upscale furniture, TV, beautiful views. Very cozy. One small request would be to upgrade the toilet seats from plastic seats to sturdy seats to match the upscale bathroom fixtures.

No wifi and desk person was not very helpful. Micro didn’t work, but desk person came right away and fixed it. No parking due to hotel’s anniversary party and we (senior citizens) had to park on the street with a tough incline. We had to struggle to carry our luggage up the incline and to our room. No help was offered when we asked about a cart. “There might be one at the back” was our answer. The unusual layout of the hotel was not well explained and we had to investigate to find where the 2nd floor was (the parking lot entered into the 2nd floor). It was very confusing and very disappointing visit. “Connection is very poor here,” was the explanation for the wifi. It’s a beautiful and modern hotel but no “service” makes the building less beautiful!!!

When we enquired about if there was any additional parking ( only two small parking lots for the whole hotel ,maybe 20 spaces) she just shrugged . Our room was nice and very clean and housekeeping did an excellent job. The tv kept shutting down which we heard was an ongoing problem. Next morning priscilla was at the desk . what a difference she made. She was helpful, funny , always smiling , got our tv fixed and gave us great ideas of where we could legally park when we came back later because there are lots of places where you get towed if you park there . Breakfast was really good both mornings we were there. The young man there was very helpful also. We were on the first floor and supposed to have a river view, which we didnt.I would not recommend the first floor . it was loud and noisy and traffic was very loud throughout the night and cars, motorcycles and trucks are about 10 ft away from your window. .

I paid for a suite with a river view and we got a view of the cars and street and could not see the river or even open the blind because of people walking! Very disappointing

Nice and clean property but the Riverview suit I booked was NOT a view of river, only things you could see were cars parked on street, a parking lot and people walking in front of window. No food as kitchen menu was being changed for the summer and the upstairs lounge closed 15 minutes early so couldn’t utilize. Should not have advertised as riverview and should have noted no food.

Very nice room. Very spacious with fun modern things. Nice furnishture and was very conformable. The only thing we did not like is the room floor kept popping when walking on it. Maybe alot of water damage. Also not enough lightning. Even with all lights on, it was very dark. But over all, beautiful place but miss the extra stuff a regular hotel provudes. Such as pools. Hot tubs, gyms and all the little extras. I would definitely stay again only because the spacious room.

Quaint hotel in the harbor village gave a perfect "getaway" feel with the convenience of the local dining options in walking distance. Very clean common areas, and friendly, accommodating staff.

Everything was phenomenal. Lizzy and Adam in the bar were so friendly and made us feel welcome. 10/10 would recommend.

Overall 5 star we were here for our daughter’s track meet. The manager and front desk staff was super polite. The man the cooked the breakfast was so polite he kept that dining area extra clean and stocked up. Keep up the good work guys. I’ll stay here again if we ever travel there again.

The Hotel front lobby staff were amazing! Building was super pretty and rooms were great. I was excited to try check out the rooftop bar. But was quickly disappointed, we went up and we're quickly seated, provided menus and waters and waiter never came back after 25 minutes of waiting, we left and before we even got to the elevator we saw him already clearing our table. He was quite quick to clear our table but couldn't come to take our order?? Also, our room was on the 4th floor. Apparently directly under the bar area, all we hear all morning and night were chairs moving/grinding against the bar floor, and it was excessively loud. I suggest requesting a non 4th floor room if you book here.

Upon check-in, and a quick explanation about issue with booking thru Expedia, the front desk staff handled us very well. Believe the key person was Kaitlyn (sp?)

The hotel was conveniently located with several restaurants nearby. It is also newer and made for a pleasant stay.

One of the best stays we have ever had. My sister and I were in town to visit my dad and hadn't been to the harbor in 20 years. It's nice to see it now with the hotel, near the shopping on the strip. The resturant had amazing food for dinner and the continental breakfast was top tier. Would definitely be back!!

I would have given a 5 star but breakfast was lacking. No fresh fruit was available and a little more variety would be nice. The place was clean and the coffee was nice and hot. We have stayed several times since they opened and this was the first time the breakfast was a disappointment. Overall a very nice hotel and the view from our room was beutiful. The lift bridge with lights is a sight to see. I grew up in Ashtabula and still love to see that view. Keep up the good work and just tweak that breakfast a bit.

I was happy until upon check in I was told that the sky bar was closed due to a wedding. It was the only reason why we came that weekend. Highly disappointed. Then the breakfast was not ready, had to leave the hotel to eat.

This was a very clean and upscale hotel. The breakfast and dining area was inviting with wonderful food and great service. The location with the Skyrim was great since we were traveling and we’re not familiar with the area being located near the little shopping area was also fun. The only thing that I would change was the parking arrangements.

This is a beautiful new hotel w/great staff. The complimentary breakfast was homemade and fresh also.

The Breakfast was excellent, all but the coffee was bad. The rooms were very nice, need new better shower heads, and better soaps in shower. Parking was not good. Area was nice, geneva and all the wineries 🍷. Overall, great place just a few inprovements would make it a 5 STAR.

This hotel is amazing! I've stayed in a lot of hotels and this was seriously the BEST mattress I've ever slept on. The lobby and rooms are beautifully designed, and has a beautiful space on the top floor as a bar at night and free breakfast in the morning. The breakfast is delicious and more than just "continental." They are trying to update the town around it and clean up the harbor area -- there is so much potential!
