Canopy By Hilton Sioux Falls Downtown

The Steel District is a newly built area overlooking the top of the falls area with shops, restaurants, access to the Falls, and entertainment. It is definitely the area to stay in when visiting Sioux Falls. The hotel is gorgeous and rooms are well thought out, but the cost of the hotel feels lacking with amenities. The hotel does not have any valet options or assist with baggage. Self park is in an attached building's parking garage. So plan to fight for parking and have a long walk to your room. The hotel also does not have any pool or spa. Room service is also run by the hotel's restaurant, Cascata. A high end Italian restaurant. So it is delivered more food delivery then room service. No drink options, no plates, condiments, etc. Cascata was sorely disappointing, my dinner meals was terrible. The bar staff is friendly though. Cascata is open until 11 am had a lovely bar for cocktails. Breakfast delivery was much better, food was great. Rooms were very comfortable, the suite's wrap around view with a balcony and table/chairs outside to allows you to sit and people watch. Design is sleek and elegant. They installed a luggage area with a bench for your luggage to tuck away and provided robes and slippers which was nice. Bathrooms are gorgeous. Rooms were quiet. Nespresso coffee and a quick cool wine fridge as well as ice bucket and water pitcher (ice and water provided by the elevators) were convenient and luxury feeling. The hotel focused on the small touches.

The Hilton perfume is horrible!! Our group was sick and had migraines. Do better.

Our stay at the Canopy was perfect. Beautiful unique hotel. Staff was very attentive, welcoming, and personable. Very clean lobby, hallways, room. Rooms were very quiet. Never heard a peep from the hallway or neighboring rooms. We had breakfast at the Cascato restaurant. Beautiful restaurant, we sat at a lovely little table right next to the fireplace. Our server was amazing, very attentive, and the food was outstanding. We will definitely be back!!!!

Brand new beautiful property. Only disappointed that they did not have pool. Why build beautiful property without pool.

I chose 3 stars for "area around the property" since some of it is still under construction (been open only 2 months). But I'm confident that once it's finished, it'll all look spectacular!! A little bit of a walk from the parking garage back to the hotel (you get to & fro via the skywalk - so pretty! And long ha). They suggest that you don't park outside during your stay and to use their parking garage ($15/night) .. Which #1) may be a means to make more money off of you but #2) it also kept snow and ice off of my car, so it's personal preference if that's worth $15/night or not - I didn't argue. The staff was friendly, the Italian restaurant downstairs has a great and simple (but classy & fancy) drink food menu, their pasta is delicious! Two different coffee shops within the building open fairly early (6 & 7a.m), a local burger joint and another cute smaller restaurant is also in the building too! Very close to Fall's Park, and on the edge of the heart of downtown Sioux Falls! The hotel itself is incredibly spacious, quiet, and the rooms are gorgeous and modern!! Worth the price <3

Hotel rooms, lobby, etc VERY nice. Only problem is trying to figure out where to park. No signs to direct you. They need valet!! You park in garage, so up/down elevator with luggage, cross skywalk, then down elevator to lobby to checkin…back up elevator to room…that was NOT convenient!

Love having access to the Falls and all the walking trails. The coffee shop was not only tasty, but such friendly service. And our family LOVED the park right outside. Our son had a blast playing.

Great service at their bar and enjoyed some Arancini with ice cold beverages before heading over to Ironwood for an enjoyable dinner with a nice view. Beautiful hotel in the downtown area. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Loved the parking garage and skywalk. The restaurant had delicious food. The bar area has tasteful decor and fabulous drinks. The entire experience could not have been better.

Nice, new hotel. We were not impressed with finding remnants of toothpaste in the sink along with coffee and hair. There was also hair on floor of shower. Made us wonder what else wasn’t cleaned.

The property has seen better days. it was very shabby, and despite being cleaned it didn't feel clean. The rooms were incredibly small and the carpet felt very dirty.

Great views. On 4th floor corner suite. Gorgeous room. It was very noisy however. Kept waking us up.

Disappointed we did not get the room we booked. We booked a river view room and at check in we were told all the river view rooms were unavailable and they no longer had one for us. We specifically chose to stay at this hotel because we wanted a view of the water. Also the fire alarm went off early in the morning. Clean and new property, really like the room except for the view.

Beds were comfortable, great views from the rooms. Tons of dining options right there by the property and in the property. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay

Loved the corner suite! Great view of the falls and easy to walk around the area. Our family of 4 loved the entire experience. We only wished we had more than a 1 night stay.

Great place, wonderful staff!

I travel to s Sioux Falls a lot and was thinking this would be my every trip hotel. However, an otherwise good stay for my anniversary was interrupted by a room with no hot water, a maintnenance man in my room for 3 hours on saturday night trying to fix it. Then a move to another room which was supposed to be an upgrade to make up for my first day amd night of no hot water, and it was exactly the same. Shame because it is a great hotel with a great restuarant and location. But when you pay for 4 stars you expect 4 stars and if its not for some reason then make it up to me in some meaningful way. Free night, a couple of comped meals, something. The staff knew it was our anniversary but that didnt seem to matter. And pet friendly is one thing. A pet barking under a patrons table on the patio for an entire meal is rediculous. I just joined Hilton Honors thinking I may invest my.money in stsyimg in their properties whenever possible since we travel a lot. This expereince has me rethinking that idea.

This was a brand new hotel when I booked, so not many photos were available, but when I got here, I was very impressed with everything this hotel offers, the staff, the room, & the view. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area again.

Front desk took so long to check in us & others before us I travel a lot & never taken so long to check in when had reservations …. Also nobody came to clean our room I called front desk to tell them this & request clean towels She said “well we’ve been busy” too busy to clean rooms!!!! They never brought my towels so had to call a second time to get them. Check out was bad too as guy said I didn’t have my cc on room , the gal that checked me took it, he says “ well we don’t have it” no I’m sorry there must be some mistake etc … hotel needs to train front desk people about courtesy , manners & how to actually check in people , nobody seems to know what to do!, This is a shame as hotel in good location but this staff doesn’t meet usual Hilton standards

The gentleman who checked us in on July 2nd, near midnight, was incredibly fast and polite. The next morning, we left at 5 AM and were delighted to be checked out by him once again. He remained attentive even towards the end of his shift, showcasing values that are rare in today’s hospitality industry. This hotel truly stood out as one of the nicest we’ve stayed at in a while. During a two-week cross-country road trip, we visited numerous excellent hotels, but this one truly shined. We never expected to find such a gem in South Dakota. The price was excellent, considering we’re from the Washington, D.C. area where hotels typically start around $400 and don’t offer nearly as much quality or customer service. Lastly, the area felt incredibly safe. It’s literally just down the street from the police station and well-lit.

Extremely good Hotel, without any doubt the absolute best hotel in Sioux Falls by far. I am visiting Sioux Falls at least once a year and going forward I will only stay here. The check in and out was fast, easy and super service oriented.

The property is beautiful and provides incredible views of the city and of the falls. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants downtown in a matter of minutes and explore the bike trails while on foot.

We had a great stay. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Great location. We caught a free concert just across the street and go to see a free performance of Hamlet in the park. The hotel was right in the middle of the new Steel District and very convienent. We enjoyed Falls park and all the walking trails.

Amazing location and dining experience

10/10 brand new beautiful hotel in beautiful Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The staff, the room, the dining experience, the grounds… everything was absolutely outstanding. Close to everything, several dining options, we could not have asked for anything more!

We loved our room at the downtown Canopy Hilton for 3 nights. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and a view of the Cathedral and Leavitt at the falls. It’s very clean and modern, and our room was quiet. There are many restaurants nearby but we did not eat there. We did walk the short distance to Phillips Ave where we picked up some excellent croissants at CH Patisserie. We had a drink one night in the lobby area which was very nice. We would stay again.
