First, the staff was FABULOUS, especially Daniella and Finica (sp?), both went out of their way to provide me with the comforts they could. They were wonderful! However, I was informed after I’d checked in that the City of Parma doesn’t allow hotels to turn on AC until a specific date. My reservation clearly stated that my room had individually controlled AC and heat. It was miserably hot without AC, even with the windows open. My room was also next to a busy street, so it was quite loud at night with the windows open. Advertising AC, and then not providing it is a HUGE breach of ethics, in my opinion. The hotel’s website also said they have a bar. I was advised that it was closed during COVID and never reopened. Really? The website hadn’t been updated in 4 years to reflect the change?!

Convenient location to downtown with everything walkable. There is short-term parking for check-in but we ended up parking in a local garage. I would stay here. again if in parma.

Nous avons passé 3 nuit dans cet hôtel à Parmes. Il a été à la hauteur de nos attentes, très bien situé , non loin de la gare et à l'entrée de la vielle ville. Le petit déjeuné est complet , la salle de restauration est très grande, Le parking est payant 20€/jour ( c'est un peu cher à mon gout ), on s'occupe de votre voiture pour le parking mais c'est quasi obligatoire car le quartier me semble pas très sur pour les voitures, il y a pas mal de squatteurs le soir au alentour.

Wir sind immer wieder in Parma, da wir die Stadt lieben und haben inzwischen zahlreiche Hotels ausprobiert. Leider muss man sagen es ist meist ein Trauerspiel. Das Stendhal ist sicher nicht jedermanns Geschmack von Seiten der Einrichtung, aber das sieht man ja vor dem Buchen auf den Fotos. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich, das Parken in der nahen öffentlichen Tiefgarage problemlos (ist auch günstiger als die Garage, die mit dem Hotel assoziiert ist). Leider ist das Hotel ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Die Betten noch ok, alles andere ein wenig abgewohnt und was nutzt eine Regendusche im Bad, wenn der Wasserdruck nur ein Rinnsal erlaubt? Für eine Nacht ist das Hotel ok und die Lage in der Innenstadt sehr gut. Wie geschrieben Parma ist eine tolle Stadt mit sehr mässigem Hotelangebot.

パルマの中心地にあり、どこの観光にも便利です。今回はオペラシーズンではありませんでしたが、夜に歌劇場に行かれる際も安心だと思います。ちょうど駅からホテルの目の前までフリーマーケットをしていて、にぎやかな通りに面していますが夜間は静かです。朝食がおいしかったのと、スタッフの方々が優しかったのが好印象でした。イタリアの物価も上がってきていますが、パルマという土地柄なのかこちらのホテルの宿泊費はとてもリーズナブルだと感じました。私は利用していませんがルームサービスも安く、外に食べに出るのが億劫な場合も安心できると思います。部屋も清潔で、スリッパなどのアメニティも揃っておりリラックスできました。

non conoscendo Parma ho scelto l'albergo un po a caso ma devo dire he ho fatto una scelta ottima. Posizione e pulizia eccellenti, arredamento un po old style ma comunque simpatico e personale gentilissimo.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s about 5 minutes from the train station and a few minutes from attractions. My room was very comfortable and was spotlessly clean. I would have preferred lighter bed linen, than a quilt, but that is a personal presence. I also would have appreciated a complementary bottle of water given the cost of the hotel. I was disappointed that the bar was not opened as it was advertised as having one. Maybe it is open during the Summer. As a solo traveller, I like the option of having a quite drink at nighttime at a hotel. However, this is a beautiful hotel, I enjoyed my stay and I will consider staying here again when I next visit Parma.

La camera ed il bagno avevano un'ottima pulizia. Un po buia la zona scrivania e difficilmente raggiungibili le prese sotto la scrivania. Nessun listino prezzi per il frigo bar. Posizione centrale per raggiungere i posti da visitare a Parma. Receptionist molto cortese e disponibile.

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado y las habitaciones son amplias, pero les hace falta limpieza, las sabanas y las alfombras de mi habitación no estaban en las mejores condiciones. El bar del hotel estaba cerrado por lo que el unico servicio que ofrecían era el desayuno.

Great location but…..a) dated: the carpet in our room was smelly B) there was mold in the shower area C) there was no air conditioning, our room was stuffy D) you could hear absolutely everything going on outside. Way too much noise impeded us to sleep. The windows are not sound proof E) of all 4 hotels we stayed at during our family holiday, this was the only one that didn’t send you a greeting/ welcome email ahead of time or ask if anything was needed to make our stay enjoyable F) express breakfast is pricey for a machine coffee and a croissant $6 euro per person. We walked 1 minute to a nearby coffee and for 3 cappuccinos and 3 pastries we paid $10 euro G) no bottled water in your room or little chocolate H) very dated hotel, blow dryer was one of those old style white ones attached to the wall I) the bathroom towels were soft J) the hand towels were not really towels though But location was centric

This is a gem! The staff is phenomenal, so helpful and professional. The room looked almost a little dated but don't let that fool you; it was very clean, bed was comfortable, towels are soft and the shower water pressure is amazing. Highly recommend this place.

Multiple rooms have poor air conditioning. I tried 5in in one night - all with problems. The best of the rooms had very noisy air conditioning so I had to turn it off and on so I had no sleep. As compensation I was offered free mini bar drinks - that was insulting and I declined. Overall it’s not in a great condition. They had some inappropriate pictures on the wall. Nude children pictures should be removed. Breakfast was passable.

Internet çok yavaştı. Otel resepsiyonuna iki kez söylememize rağmen ne bir iyileştirme oldu ne de bize bilgi dönüldü. Kahvaltı zayıftı, çeşit azdı. Omlet de yabancı bir koku vardı, bu diğerleri tarafından da hissediyordu ki tüketilmiyordu.Klima ayarı zordu. Oteli lokasyonu dışında oteli ön plana çıkaracak bir özellik yoktu maalesef.

Great location and staff - TERRIBLY NOISY!!! Situated on a plaza across from Palazzo Pilotta, we were kept up way past midnight by screaming people, barking dogs, revving motorcycles and other street sounds. Then there was the smoke from people smoking below our windows that kept floating into our room. There was no AC, so given the stuffiness of the room,we wanted air. Not an option to open windows. The image on the website of the balcony with chairs is actually a lie. There is no outdoor seating. That terrace in the image pertain to the condo in the hotel, not to the hotel rooms. All the faux decor and the efforts to reawaken the 18th century, get lost in the noise that left us sleep deprived and exhausted. By the way, there is NO PLACE to hang towels the reuse of which is to save the planet.

Easy check in. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Parking was easy (just book ahead!) Room however was extremely hot. I couldn't get the fan to work and did not sleep well due to this. I know many hotels tend to be hot, but wow, considering it was not even hot outside it was ridiculous.

A beautiful hotel in a great location however the room walls are paper thin we could hear the next doors room running the taps and flushing the toilet plus it sounded like they was having a shower in our room and I was up twice in the night thinking taps in our room was running. I could also hear what they was watching on the tv and talking about. Such a shame as lovely hotel and staff and if we hadn’t over slept and had to rush for our train due to hardly any sleep which also resulted in us leaving a whole host of our personal items behind I would have raised these issues with them and asked for a refund.

Hotel Stendhal, Parma is an excellent hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Rooms, Breakfasts etc. were excellent, agian with excellent, friendly service. The location is central, beside the Piazza della Pace and Teatro Regio. Several super restaurants within a few minutes walk.

This is a gem! The staff is phenomenal, so helpful and professional. The room looked almost a little dated but don't let that fool you; it was very clean, bed was comfortable, towels are soft and the shower water pressure is amazing. Highly recommend this place.

Leider sehr alte hellhörige Zimmer mit schlechten Matratzen. Personal absolut unfreundlich. Parkfläche auf grossem Platz vor Hotel gehört augenscheinlich zum Hotel aber dem ist nicht so! Nach 10 min Check in haben wir kurz die Koffer ins Zimmer gebracht und uns ungezogen und schon war Polizei da und hat uns und den 3 andern die vor uns parkten 60,- € Strafzettel verteilt. Trotz direkter Einsprache vor Ort keinerlei Pardon. Welcome to Parma! Personal keinerlei Einsicht oder Verständnis, dass sie uns obwohl wir Tiefgaragen Plätze reserviert hatten, in keiner Weise gewarnt haben, dass wir sofort unser Auto wegfahren müssen. Kommentar vom Manager am kommenden Morgen „Es ist nicht unser Problem was mit ihrem Auto ist und wollte noch die 14 € für die Garage voll abrechnen“! Keinerlei Warnschild auf der gesamten Fläche. Das P Schild dass hinten am Eck steht heisst laut Polizei anscheinend dass nur Roller parken dürfen und nicht auch Roller. Sorry aber keien der Parkenden wär darauf gekommen. Hat das Gesamtbild des Hotels leider nur noch bestätigt und werden definitiv nicht mehr dort einchecken.

Personale veramente gentile e professionale, peccato per l'aria condizionata in camera che non si poteva alzare oltre i 24 gradi, siamo stati costretti a spegnere il clima per poi riaccenderlo durante la notte... Colazione completa ed assortita, peccato per il caffè alla macchinetta che era imbevibole,ma poi abbiamo chiesto due espressi al personale che li ha fatti con la macchina da bar.

Omlet de yabancı bir koku vardı, bu diğerleri tarafından da hissediyordu ki tüketilmiyordu.Klima ayarı zordu. Oteli lokasyonu dışında oteli ön plana çıkaracak bir özellik yoktu maalesef.

パルマの中心地にあり、どこの観光にも便利です。今回はオペラシーズンではありませんでしたが、夜に歌劇場に行かれる際も安心だと思います。ちょうど駅からホテルの目の前までフリーマーケットをしていて、にぎやかな通りに面していますが夜間は静かです。朝食がおいしかったのと、スタッフの方々が優しかったのが好印象でした。イタリアの物価も上がってきていますが、パルマという土地柄なのかこちらのホテルの宿泊費はとてもリーズナブルだと感じました。私は利用していませんがルームサービスも安く、外に食べに出るのが億劫な場合も安心できると思います。部屋も清潔で、スリッパなどのアメニティも揃っておりリラックスできました。

First, the staff was FABULOUS, especially Daniella and Finica (sp?), both went out of their way to provide me with the comforts they could. They were wonderful! However, I was informed after I’d checked in that the City of Parma doesn’t allow hotels to turn on AC until a specific date. My reservation clearly stated that my room had individually controlled AC and heat. It was miserably hot without AC, even with the windows open. My room was also next to a busy street, so it was quite loud at night with the windows open. Advertising AC, and then not providing it is a HUGE breach of ethics, in my opinion. The hotel’s website also said they have a bar. I was advised that it was closed during COVID and never reopened. Really? The website hadn’t been updated in 4 years to reflect the change?!

As tourists you could not ask for a better location!! Close to sights, restaurants and train station. Staff here more than helpful! Will come back. And breakfast selections incredible.

Fint hotell med sentral beliggenhet i gangavstand fra togstasjonen og alt Parma har å by på. Fine, men litt umoderne rom. Grei frokost, men det manglet stadig både tallerkener og diverse mat. Man kunne heldigvis på en håndlaget cappuccino på forespørsel.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s about 5 minutes from the train station and a few minutes from attractions. My room was very comfortable and was spotlessly clean. I would have preferred lighter bed linen, than a quilt, but that is a personal presence. I also would have appreciated a complementary bottle of water given the cost of the hotel. I was disappointed that the bar was not opened as it was advertised as having one. Maybe it is open during the Summer. As a solo traveller, I like the option of having a quite drink at nighttime at a hotel. However, this is a beautiful hotel, I enjoyed my stay and I will consider staying here again when I next visit Parma.

Hotel Stendhal, Parma is an excellent hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Rooms, Breakfasts etc. were excellent, agian with excellent, friendly service. The location is central, beside the Piazza della Pace and Teatro Regio. Several super restaurants within a few minutes walk.
