Staff was very helpful, and helped us get an early check in as well as a late check out. The pool is made for exercising (swimming laps) not made for families to enjoy, however they did not have any tattoo restrictions. Truly enjoyed this property. Only downfall, there is only one set of elevators to get to the hotel lobby which can get tricky to find.

We stayed in the Twin Room (Swiss Select, 32 sqm). The room was spacious by Osaka standards, clean, and well appointed. The bathroom came with a small bath tub, which is customary in Japanese hotels, and a humidifier was provided where you add your own water before switching it on. Amenities such as coffee, toothbrushes, and combs were available at the lobby’s self-service area. Check in was smooth and efficient, with the hotel already holding our Expedia reservations. As with all Japanese hotels, copies of our passports were taken during registration. Note that there is no coin laundry on site and only paid hotel laundry services are available. The nearest laundromat is some distance away, which may be inconvenient for longer stays. The hotel is located at the southern edge of Namba Station, offering direct and sheltered access to trains. It is also very close to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi, making it easy to explore the area on foot. Food options are plentiful around the hotel, from convenience bites to restaurants of all kinds. Overall, Swissotel Nankai Osaka provided a comfortable and convenient base in the heart of Namba.

The parking and automobile access was very difficult. We had to enter through a parking garage that was only was marked in Japanese with no sign for the Swissôtel in English. An explanation of the automobile access procedures should be included with the reservation confirmation . After contacting the concierge’s desk a gentleman came down to the street to show us the proper way. We greatly appreciated his effort. The employees were very helpful through our stay.

We would stay here again! The views from our room and the dining areas on the 36th floor were spectacular. The hotel is packed with amenities lots of options: the spa was incredible; the number of restaurants in the hotel was staggering and ALL of them were delicious; the pool area was wonderful (especially if you like lane swimming - there wasn't a dedicated area just to play around at hte pool, but we made it work). Walking to the metro, rail lines, shopping, and other food areas were a breeze! The staff went above and beyond!

Amazing location to Namba station. Breakfast was great. We also loved Retrobar10. Reasonable prices and very comfortable rooms. Hot tub in the spa is nice after a long day.

The hotel was very nice with lots of amenities. The room was clean and the staff was very nice. The location is excellent, it is in the middle of so much and a short ride away from the castle and a 30 min ride from Universal Studios. For parents with kids, just be aware that the pool is not for kids. You have to be 6 to enter and kids are not allowed in after 530 and ha e to leave by 6. The pool is 3 swimming la es and is meant for swimming.

This property was fine, but TBH I had higher expectations from its star rating. It all felt a little old. Except for the top floor which had the restaurant and a fabulous breakfast buffet. It got the cleanliness marks as there was a stain on the comforter and a pillow was damp. They changed out room and sent chocolates as an apology.

Unterkunft ist sehr stark in die Jahre gekommen. Bei Ankunft Schimmel beim Auslass der Klimaanlage vorgefunden. Zudem hat das Zimmer sehr komisch gerochen.

We chose Swissotel to celebrate our anniversary in Osaka. Location: We chose the location based on our research because it's minutes from the Namba Station with access to the metro and Express train to the airport. However, it wasn't as convenient for our day trips to Hiroshima, Kyoto, Hemiji Castle, Kobe etc. because we still had to travel to the Shin Osaka station across the river to make connections. We also weren't quite prepared for the crush of people in in the Namba Station outside the hotel and just about every shopping area surrounding the building. It was overwhelming at times. Service: Excellent. Everyone was very helpful, especially Meg (Takeuchi) at the concierge desk who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Kilm(?) in the Bar 26/Restaurant was also so welcoming, kind and thoughtful when we dined upstairs in the hotel. Accommodations: Our room was quiet, spacious and comfortable but the bathroom was somewhat disappointing because the shower was not user friendly and hard to regulate because it had a hand held spray. It was almost impossible to avoid splashing water all over the floor because there is only a partial glass wall. More importantly, it was not safe trying to get in and out of the tub without slipping because there was not a safety bar to hold onto on the back wall near the door to brace yourself. Perhaps the hotel can look into this. Overall, we had a nice stay.

객실 뷰도 좋고 난카이 라피트 공항 철도역에서 바로 연결되어 비오는 아침 바로 라피트 탑승할 수 있어 좋았다. 3박중 마지막날 위층에서 무너지는 소리가 날 정도로 층간 소음이 엄청나서 깜짝 놀랐다. 한시간 정도 아우성이더니 조용해 졌는데 어떤 투숙객이 머무느냐에 따라 결정되겠지만 정말 끔찍했다

The room was big by Japanese standards, however, the furnishings were a bit old and the shower only has half a glass door so the bathroom floor gets wet. The bathroom itself wasn’t anything special which I expected more from the caliber of hotel it claims to be. You have to remember to put a card facing up with the correct wording to ensure your bedsheets are changed. We weren’t aware of this and it would’ve been nice to have fresh sheets after such a long stay. However, the location cannot be beat. It is connected to Namba station, and the metro is in the basement. It’s also about a 15 minute walk from the hotel to a JR station. It’s all in the same building but keep this in mind.

The hotel location is good ,next to the train station, easy to travel around; below to hotels are shopping malls and lots of eateries, Except that the lightings in the hotels are too dim because only using few small spot lights, they should increase more lighting points within the room,

The Swiss Hotel is in a great location, close to high end shops and amazing street food. A train to the airport is in the conveniently located on the ground floor. The staff was exceptional. I lost my phone while staying at the hotel and the concierge, Kingsady, worked hard to return it to me.

We had an excellent stay with breakfast each day. The staff in the restaurant were very good. The room was excellent and included a Nespresso machine. On the less good side, 15 minutes to check in waiting in line, and front door attendant was no where to be found when we needed a cab.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel, and I want to highlight Hideya Nakatani. He gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived, and when it was time to leave, he was just as helpful and attentive. Throughout our stay, all staff went above and beyond- providing us with useful information about restaurants, shopping , and tourists attractions in the area. Overall, the hotel itself was very nice , and thanks to excellent service, we had a great time. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

The location was great. We walked to Dotonbori for food! We were also above a great shopping center. The staff went beyond our expectations as my sister left her phone in a cab and they called the cab company and tracked down the phone and it was waiting in our room when we returned to the hotel. The bar was nice with a great view of Osaka. I would highly recommend this hotel!

This was a great location for being in the middle of shopping and restaurants. It's also adjacent to trains and the metro. I was traveling with someone who couldn't walk very far and this hotel gave us the opportunity to just take an elevator down to the mall area and there were lots of food options for us. We also had Takashimaya department store in the mall so we could buy prepared foods easily and bring them back to the hotel room. The Namba SkyO building is also accessible from the lobby of this hotel. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We didn't hear any noise from the other rooms. I'd definitely stay at a Swissotel again because of this positive experience.

Very well appointed hotel in the middle of Namba. The access to shopping, dining, and transportation is incredible. Keep in mind Namba is a very busy and very touristy area and it can get a tad overwhelming at times. The staff in the hotel was great, everything was taken care of promptly. The only caveat is, this hotel won an industry award in 2013 and it shows. It feels a tad dated at times and is probably overdue for a little refresher without taking away from its original character. The one real gripe was that the rooftop bar/restaurant needs an overhaul. The music is old, the menu a bit staid, and the service felt very discombobulated and slow. Overall though this is a great hotel in a fantastic area and would definitely recommend it

Room service breakfast menu very limited to 2 items. Drinks in top floor bar very good but pricey as one might expect. Beautiful view. Short walk to Korumon market and Dotombori. Surrounded by countless restaurants and shops on pedestrian malls. Hotel sits atop a huge train station and subway hub. About Y2500 by cab to Osaka station. Y4000 to Shin Osaka.
