Ok hotel. The rooms are outdated but functional. Not the cleanest of bathrooms though. The lift is a disaster though . Seems to have a mind of its own . The area around is very noisy and not the safest but then that’s Dublin at the minute in general. Decent car park and the reception staff are lovely.

Friendliest hotel staff I've had the pleasure of chatting to. Nice to have pool, jacuzzi and sauna too. Only loses a star as the room was too warm and no AC and the traffic was too noisy traffic was too noisy to open window.

The staff and food was excellent. 1 lift was out of action for the 4 days i was there. Also Sunday morning was very noisy as theres " Happy clapping" church service in the hotel.

Good location and nice hotel. Would stay again. Couple of small negatives - restaurant service on match day was suspended - there is no room temperature control and room was particularly cold - bar closed early at 22:40.

The hotel was disappointing on a number of counts. 1 of the 2 lifts from the parking level was out of order and the stairs were locked so waiting for a very busy lift to let you get to reception took a good 10 minutes to let you in, this has been like this for months it appears. The room is fresh and clean, but no air con and it was cooking hot with only a fan added to try and stop you from sweating. The pool requires you to wear a swimming hat (not shown in any booking info we could see, and they want to charge you €3 each for a hat). The breakfast we reasonable and enjoyable. Finally the restaurant evening meal was all straight out a freezer and heated, zero taste, zero prep. Really awful and not cheap either.

The hotel is looking a little tired. It appears they are starting to update the rooms. We had a delux family room. It was comfortable, but there was nothing deluxe about it. We stayed there on a really warm night and there was no way of adjusting the temperature. It was horrible. Our main reason for staying there was the pool. It is really busy with swimming lessons. The chlorine is so strong, it stung our eyes. Hotel guests only have access to a tiny section of the pool, due to the swimming lessons. Even the Children's pool was being used for lessons. This caused great distress to my non- verbal autistic child. The worst part of the stay was due to only one lift working. My husband nearly fell due to the lift not stopping level with the floor before opening doors. Again, the delay in getting a lift made it really difficult to manage my beautiful autistic child. We didn't eat in the restaurant because it was too much hassle to get everyone down for breakfast. There's a lidl next door. My husband bought our breakfast. The staff we met were really friendly.

This hotel has a bar and good food options on property but is also across the street from The Square shopping mall which offer more dining option within walking distance along with great shopping. The rooms are a nice size and room amenities are replaced regularly. My only complaint was the room was too hot even with the radiator off and window open and fan on. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and underground parking is very convenient.

My room was not available until 5pm, despite being told three times a room was ready then given to someone else. The room wasn't clean when we arrived, the bathroom was not clean at all. Very poor service. We travel to the area several times per year and I will not be keen to stay again

We stayed for 5 days on the first day i asked why we did not have a coffee machine, slipers and robes as per the booking. I was told they are short staffed and they would bring them to the room. The next day nothing arrived. Then on day 3 i had to ask for our room to be cleaned and i was told they are backed up.. im sorry but thats not my problem. My girlfriend had to go into the store room to get more towels and tea, milk etc as nothing was done by the staff. On day 4 we wanted to use room sevice to order a pizza. The menu in the room said till 7am. When i phoned to order i was told they are not doing room service as its closed.. ive stayed in many hotels in Dublin as me and my partner are long distance and it was the worst by far. The room was nice the pool and gym was nice but the service was terrible.. do not stay here.. there are many better options

We paid €135 for one night and €150 cash deposit for the worst stay I’ve ever had in a hotel. The check in service was terrible, room was filthy (rubbish from previous guests still in room and dirty, unhoovered carpet), tv didn’t work and drinks at the bar were warm. The hotel itself in General except for the reception was dirty and rubbish was left in corridors and lifts. Totally unacceptable. We also paid for a superior room, and there was nothing superior about it. Don’t stay here.

We were given a handicap room where the floor was dirty. There is was stuff stuck to the floor between the beds and in the bathroom. Toilet would not flush. No air conditioning. There are several signs for a grab and go coffee yet no one that worked there could tell us where that was. They were so confused when asked about the coffee shop.

Have stopped at the maldron in tallaght many times ,I am sorry to say it has gone downhill .could not open windows even though it was sweltering excuse given the balcony rails were not safe because they were rotten.also had to go to reception for clean towels.unless things improve will not return.

The room was showing its age, both curtains were broken, shower curtain was tired, water pressure on shower not good. Bed pillows were needing preplacement. Breakfast was poor, bananas just aged over the five day stay, plates never hot, baked beans never hot, bacon was cold and soggy or dry. Melon fresh fruit hard or tasteless, apple tough skin.

Worst SLEEP ever. Firstly we were given a disabled room without requesting one, not bad, big but the shower room is very disconcerting. The room was HOT, no Aircon and the window only opens a few centimetres. Only handsoap and shampoo provided in the shower, no shower gel. Towel was laughably small. Our room was also a conjoining room with a paper thin door that our neighbours will attest to, as they felt like BANGING on it at 1am because our TV was "too loud". Conveniently positioned next to the security door leading to the lifts, it works well and SLAMS shut every 10/15 minutes from around 6am as people come and go. It could do with a little oiling too. A 5 minute walk from the LUAS red line but still an hour into Dublin City Centre. All for the small price of £166/€200

I have used this hotel previously. Had a two night stay this week. I was a bit early for check in but was given a room fairly quickly. Room was clean and wifi was good. It was very warm in the room with only a small window that could be opened a few inches. Thete was a door onto a balcony but H&S deemed that i would fall off the balcony if the roor was opened. Left me with two sweaty nights sleep. Breakfast was fine on both days. Parking is underground and qas free. Nice hotel overall though.

We did not have a balcony view. We had a room that was worse than a college dorm room. It was very outdated, uncomfortable bed, dirty floors and very loud. The staff greeted me with a "did you check in online" and when I said no, he was annoyed. We had been driving all day, and I did not have service! I do not recommend this hotel and being a travel advisor, I will not send my clients here.

Staff are amazing. Always there to help. Manager Finnula in particular was super considerate and helpful. Hotel is run down. Only 1 lift working when we stayed so was annoying having to wait as lift constantly busy. But what made staying in the Maldron hotel worth it was the staff

An extra almost €40 was sneakily tried to be added to my bill. At first I was told I had no outstanding balance but when I said I did and he double checked someone had charged drinks to my room, probably the same person who woke me up twice in the night trying to enter my room.

Great room, good amenities, if your into sports you can't get closer to tallaught stadium then this. Don't recommend if you plan on staying here for Dublin tourism. It's too out of the way.

Great stay - all of the staff are so friendly and efficient. I was on a course in Tallaght University Hospital and the hotel was in an ideal location (less than ten minute walk).

This hotel has a bar and good food options on property but is also across the street from The Square shopping mall which offer more dining option within walking distance along with great shopping. The rooms are a nice size and room amenities are replaced regularly. My only complaint was the room was too hot even with the radiator off and window open and fan on. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and underground parking is very convenient.

Hotel and facilities were fine except for the fact that The hotel serves no food after 9.15pm. Hqard to believe given how big it is. In addition, on Saturdays, you cannot get breakfast until after 8am. So arriving late and leaving early meamns zero foos options. On check out i was told i could have gotten a takeaway breakfast. Not good enough for such a large hotel.

Area around the property is good. Lots of things in walking distance. For the price of the rooms I would book elsewhere!!! The room service was horrible, I had to call down twice to have our room cleaned. Then when I did the second time they just made the bed didn’t change the sheets and were there for two weeks. The beds are not too firm and not too soft. Pillow were horrible. Shower pressure was great and the heater for towels is awesome. The hotel itself needs to be cleaned and updated. The walls and carpets are visibly dirty and stained. The pool was small and needed to wear a pool cap to swim. Hot tub was not hot and sauna had too many people always in it. Breakfast was not the best could use more verity. Not much to eat if you’re a vegetarian. Big upset: I asked for no coleslaw on my son’s burger due to allergies, they brought it back with it scrapped off and the patty flipped over. If I hadn’t checked first my son could have had an allergic reaction. That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen! Dishes were always visibly dirty with lipstick on the cups. If I hadn’t already booked I would of left! Not worth the price for sure!

In the morning we had to wait outside of the breakfast restaurant until the personal was finished with their coffee at the coffee machine until they let us in.. very weird to let 8 customer wait outside until the clock was exactly 7.. the rooms where old and it was not possible to open the balcony to the room. Except for the breakfast, the personal was nice and friendly. Asking price for a room was a bit high to only get 1 pillow each..
