Clean good size room with a comfortable bed. Good spa facilities

Excellent gym. I used the punching bag and lifted weights while staying at the hotel. Staff are super friendly too.

Room was lovely, except for the noise from the street was constant, keeping windows and curtains closed helped muffle the sound. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was tasty. Parking was plentiful and the discount was great. The Pool was not child friendly. Main pool was for people doing laps, the hot tub was not very hot and we were told my teen was not allowed in it. There was a small wading pool suitable for toddlers.

The hotel and room were excellent, close to the city and had a balcony overlooking the river which was lovely. The only downside is that it is never mentioned in the information that you have to wear a swimming cap to use the pool, these can be purchased from the spa but I was not aware of this prior to booking. I do not like wearing swimming caps as I find them uncomfortable so did not use the pool which I would have liked to. I feel this should be mentioned in the spa info. Otherwise I could not fault the hotel and staff.

Loved that there was a pool! The bus stop being so close to the hotel was very convenient. The hotel facility itself was beautiful, clean and accommodating, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We looked for a hotel in cork with gym and pool and so we chose this hotel. When we arrived, the gym and pool closed. We asked for a discount, but the people of reception were very unfriendly. It was very disappointing.

The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of town and the facilities, including a pool, sauna and steam, are more than adequate. The choice at breakfast was really good and we also had an evening meal in the restaurant which was delicious. The staff were friendly and polite. The only downside was the bed as the mattress was not great and so I didn't get a good night's sleep. The lack of support in the mattress meant we were constantly rolling into the middle of the bed. It's a shame because otherwise I'd heartily recommend the hotel.

Pluses - Very helpful receptionist. Nice room with good view. Leisure facility ok; tired, needs maintenance. Negative - Reported sink blockage not fixed.

One of the better buffet breakfasts with lots of gluten free options. Short walk to a major pedestrian street with lots of pubs, shops, and restaurants. Had a nice swimming pool for swimming laps.

Although other reviews I searched were a 4.6-4.8 this a sad representation of the hotel. we were in room 340. Positives-the beds were comfortable. Negatives- the mold in the bathroom was horrible. The shower and shower doors are in need of a large amount of scrubbing and bleach. The carpet in the room had horrible stains all over it and was just dirty. The room was situated adjacent to the city halfway house or homeless shelter. The noise was horrible at night. The Gardia and ambulance was outside our window no less than 5 times and one was hauled away completely naked. It was obvious that this is the hangout for those actively using drugs. The restaurant menu was limited and we witnessed a couple get up from a table and they seated another couple without cleaning it. there was only a glass left so the worker just picked it up and seated them anyway. they seated us at a table where there were food all over the seats. that was the last time eating their especially for the price. I would not recommend this hotel if you are coming to Ireland to visit for the first time. It will not leave a good impression.

Great location. Lovely fit out throughout. Room spotless and sensitively serviced. Didn’t use facilities but bar seemed cosy and menu decent value. Reception staff were lovely. Room was massive! Only very minor complaints - shower pressure not great, fridge didn’t work annd anurcon a little old style controls but worked. softer pillows would have been lovely.

Room wasn't ready despite arriving after check-in time. Arrived to bloodstained bedsheets, had to ask at reception for them to be changed. Poor turndown service with items left unfinished including piles of dirty linen left behind and items being washed up in bathroom sink. Response from hotel staff was pretty underwhelming; check-in and out all done on self-serve kiosks which were slow or just didn't work and needed staff help anyway. Overall a pretty lacklasture trip only saved by the excellent food and staff in the restaurant bar.

The bathrooms had hair on the floor from previous guests, the exhaust fans did not work.

Unfortunately our room had a wall of windows that leaked. It was wet, the carpet was wet, the draperies were covered in black mold. The bathroom also had a lot of mold. The carpet outside the bathroom showed obvious signs of serious water damage, and the wood of the closet had mold growing on it. When we turned on the AC it stuck like mold. We didn't notice this until late at night when we turned on the AC. Then we got into bed and realized the bed was broken. One side was fine, the other sloped so badly that I rolled out of bed 3 times during the night. It was a terrible night. If we hadn't been so exhausted from traveling all day we would have packed up and asked for a different room. They told us in the morning that we would receive a credit for our stay, but we have not received it as of yet.

Friendly and helpful at reception. Room was immaculate. Breakfast was second to none.

Walk-in Shower was beyond gross and flooded out under the toilet. Very unsanitary

The Suite we had overlooked the river, and was absolutely beautiful! The Staff were lovely and so very helpful in recommending their favorite places to eat, to visit, etc.. Our Suite was large and beautifully furnished. The Clayton was close to so many wonderful things.

It was a very nice large room but there was no air-conditioning which on the 5th floor was much needed. Staff suggested we open the windows which we sometimes could do but often it was too noisy to do so, not to mention the possiblitity of birds or bugs entering. The TV was not working which was eventually fixed. My suggestion for the bathroom would be to have a higher toilet and a door on that room.Taller people had their knees hitting their chins and older people had a hard time getting up. Also anytime you leaned back you hit the toilet flush button. And you had to lean back to reach the toilet paper. On the plus side breakfast was very nice, shower was good, staff was helpful, and the location was good.

Expected better to be honest. Room was quite dated. Bedside lamp missing. Old, poor quality TV. The double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together. Have stayed in much nicer hotels for much less money

The location is excellent and the staff nice. The air conditioning was broken so I'm giving 3 stars.

We had the top floor, amazing view of the river and city. It happened to be a Hunter Moon that evening and the view was magical. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Air conditioner did not seem to work. Street noise was very loud.

Worst stay of my life. Beds uncomfortable, pillows hard as a rock, walls super thin. Neighbors kept me awake all night with their noises, yelling and screaming. Super noisy. Location is right off the street and the bus stop was right outside our window. All night hearing people talking and yelling.

Room was in good condition and clean but there was very poor noise proofing. Was kept up by outside noise the first night. But they did move us and the second room was much better.

The restaurant staff were not prepared and food was just ok. Property itself was great.

The checkin clerk was SO helpful. We had issues with our ferry and bad storms and travelled through the night arriving 12 hours early. He found us a room so we could get some sleep (and it was a lovely room!) Thank you

This was the absolute best hotel experience! I accidently forgot my phone and Debbie, front desk manager, was incredible - instead of having me spend time and money organizing and paying to DHL she rang me and said she was coming to the Netherlands where I live for the weekend. I met her in Amsterdam where she returned my phone. Above and beyond is all I can say - cheers to Clayton for hiring such rock stars! Although we are traditionally Hilton and Marriott, we are now loyal to an all-Irish brand - well done!!

Rooms were super quiet. Front desk staff very helpful. I ordered room service twice and both times I had to call down and ask about it.

We checked in, and were told our room was in a different corridor. We were supposed to have a king room, but were given a dirty apartment with no sheets (didn’t notice until it was bedtime), pillows, AC. When we spoke with the staff, they lied to us about everything. I even asked for more pillows, the clerk said they’d be sent up. Never happened. Terrible customer service on their end. If I wanted a dirty air BNB, I would have booked one.

A very nice me property but service was lacking in some respects. The room was not furnished with enough towels. Only two for theee guests. The house phone is non- functional so a trip to the front desk was required to request an additional towel. The TV would not work due to dead batteries in the remote. In addition the mounting was loose leaving the tv drooping and pointing downward. A request for service was answered but took more than an hour. And the tv mount was “fixed” by propping it up with a folded towel. The service person did not have any tools and could not tighten the screws.

This was a great location, within walking distance to city centre with all the shopping and pubs. The staff were always very friendly and courteous. A star removed because it seemed like the room had seen better days - some stains in the carpet that haven't been able to be removed. Not a deal breaker, but not pristine.

The location is short from the airport, close to all bars and restaurants, minutes walk to the bus station. Lovely spacious room with lots of storage. Reception staff all very friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend for people to stay here.

Helaas viel de kamer tegen: gedateerd interieur, een airco die nauwelijks koelt en een douche met zeer weinig waterdruk. ’s Nachts veel geluidsoverlast door een nabijgelegen nachtclub, en ’s ochtends uitzicht op een rij zwervers onder het hotel. Voor de prijs die gevraagd wordt, had ik aanzienlijk meer comfort verwacht. Positief punt: de locatie is uitstekend.

Our stay would have been fine if the room ac had worked. Since it did not, we spent an uncomfortable night with the windows open listening to a group of homeless people fighting. We booked 2 rooms and both experienced the same thing. The staff was not very friendly or helpful. If you stay at this hotel, request a room facing the river. The rooms were big and clean. I will not be staying here again.

Check in was online and easy. Welcome from the manager at reception was nice and friendly. Triple room was spacious and clean and had good amenities. We only made breakfast once out of 3 nights, due to my next comment, and it was really good selection and worth the steep cost. Unfortunately we were at the side of the hotel from the river which has a homeless facility. Every night there would be a large group shouting and swearing trying to get medication or a bed for the night. Mental health issues banging heads against walls and fighting with each other. This was on and off throughout the early hours and even with the windows fully shut, it woke us numerous times. Garda attended a few times but they didnt move them on. This unfortunately made our stay unbearable with the noise and we didnt get much rest. I would not stay here again or recommend it due to this, especially as the cost of the hotel was expensive per night. Such a shame as this could of been a really nice stay. I informed the hotel who offered a free coffee but not much they could do unfortunately

Was there for a gig taking place at the virgin media park. The hotel is right by the bus stop to from the airport which was about a 20 minute ride from, cost of about 1.50e one way. The bus station and other stops was also literally 5 minute walk from the hotel. The venue itself also a 10 minute bus ride. Walkable from Oliver Plunkett street and the main streets for shopping/pubs etc. I’d contacted the hotel beforehand to see if the pool and other facilities would be accessible before and after checkout as we had early and late flights, and they promptly responded advising they were though we didn’t end up using them. The hotel kept our bags all day before checking in and all day after checking out. Staff were all really friendly and welcoming and helpful. The room was a deluxe double bed and single bed absolutely ideal for 2 friends to share or for couples or a family for an over night or as a base. Would stay again. No problems

The hotel is located around many homeless and vagrants, security in the door of the hotel as a precaution, went out at 10pm on a Saturday evening and was instantly followed by 2 individuals, informed security on my return who just smiled, staff un attentive, the in house coffee shop do not acknowledge that you require service (on the 2 occasions I tried) many emails to check in online and check out but when tried to proceed with this service it then asks you to check out at the reception

Emma in the front desk was incredible. The room was clean and comfortable, the only thing we should mention is our window was facing a street where all the homeless people were and it was quite frightening as they were screaming most of the time and fighting between each over, we could also never open the window because of this same reason but I guess the hotel has no control over that.

We stayed 3 nights in room 405 and the room was really large and spacious but the windows do not have a tight seal and 7am every morning we were there there was some alarm nearby that went off and woke us up and wasnt just a quick alarm it was 12 minutes the first day, 11 minutes the second day and 10 minutes the third. It was loud and annoying and when i brought it up to the front desk 2 mornings they just said we are in a city we cant help it and had no idea where it came from and said they never heard it and no one else complained. So clearly we had the room with bad windows or something and yes we went around and double checked they were all shut. The staff didn't care at all that we did not get 1 full mornings sleep. So dont stay in room 405 or you risk an unwanted 7am wakeup. We also ate in the restaurant the first night, the service was horrible. They told us to sit where ever we wanted so we sat by the window and no server ever came to take our order we had to go to the bar to order, but they were serving the other side of the restaurant at the table. They brought the drinks and food then never saw them again. My husband had the fish and chips and i had the spaghetti arabiata. The fish and chips were good, fries nice and crispy but the spaghetti was aweful. The sauce was watery and the noodles were over cooked. The server also said they forgot about us so after the food came they never checked on us again. I told them about the pasta and they took it off the bill.

Great place to stay. Excellent location. Breakfast was delicious, The bar had great drink and the bartenders were awesome. It is a 10 or 15 minute.Walk to the train station and is directly across the street from the bus station. It right on the river and there are plenty of restaurants and shops with in walking distance

Fabulous hotel in a convenient location. Easy walk to restaurants and touring the city. Great breakfast albiet service in both the breakfast cafe and the restaurant was very slow.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. The dining room was definitely understaffed on the weekend. To get drinks you had to go to the bar. No table service.

Hotel itself & stay beautiful. We ordered a meal at the bar we booked in for 8.30 the 4 of us my husbands fish and chips came an hour after our main meal was eaten. It was a disgrace. We talked to the manager who gave us a tree drink. We should never have been charged for the meal being an hour late ruined our night unfortunately.

Lovely staff, good gym, good breakfast, . Room service menu not up to standard: limited to a ham sandwich on a Saturday night is poor. Night time noise from drunken persons sleeping in lane below our window meant little.sleep for two nights.
