Lots of technology in use. Self checkin and checkout. Room keys activate lifts. No buttons in lifts. Beds comfortable. Rooms clean. Everything feels new. Staff were great at helping navigate the technology. Good selection at breakfast.

1minute from tram station so excellent transpot to anywhere in Dublin. Restaurant food (breakfast and Dinner) was excellent. Staff very friendly and allowed us to leave our bags all day until we checked in later in the evening. Would definitely recomment for anyone wanting to visit Dublin.

The Samuel staff is excellent; they are very welcoming and helpful. We had no troubling dropping off bags and then getting into our room when it was check-in time. The beds are very comfortable, & the rooms are clean and modern. The location is about half a block to the tram to go to the city center, which is convenient (about 15-20 minutes to Christ Church with walking and the tram). The hotel has both a restaurant and a coffee shop, both of which are good, and more restaurants are available at the next stop from the tram station and the Abbey stop (about 10 minutes) is in the restaurant district. The Samuel is a great choice.

Loved this hotel right on the tram line. 5 minutes to city center. Kind and accommodating staff. Beautiful rooms.Loved the mini coffee shop on ground level. Plentiful free jugs of ice water with fruit was a welcomed touch .

The room was a good size, very clean with a super comfortable bed and lovely pillows, cleaning staff were very friendly as were the bar staff. Reception process check in and out was very easy. Parked in the convention centre car park, 24hrs for 20 euros , card validated at reception

Samuel hotel is nice hotel located close to the 3 Arena. Very modern and the staff very friendly. Parking is about 5 mins away so u will have to drag your suitcases down the street. Parking is 20e from 3pm on day of arrival to 2pm next day. Located next to LUAS stop so easy to get around the city. Check out is earlier than most hotels it’s 11am so not ideal. For the elevators u must scan keycard and select floor and it will tell u what elevator take- there are no buttons inside the elevator so u cannot just get on any elevator. It sounds cool but if several people are looking for an elevator, the system doesn’t know how many people are waiting and could tell u all to get on the same elevator. So u may have to scan your keycard and select floor numerous times before u get on an elevator. The fitness room is tiny and only suitable for about 2 ppl at a time. Overall great location if attending a concert in the 3 Arena.

Fine with the staff, breakfast could have better sweet options and more veggies. Cleanliness is ok in the room, the shower was the big issue with leaking water on the bottom and black mold.

Considering it’s a four star, I have stayed in better three stars.. chipped paint all around and stains on the walls and drawing, the smell of raw sewage from the plug holes, so I had to keep the toilet door closed and the noise from a fan in the ceiling or air conditioning which was switched off, would start on at six o’clock in the morning and continue through out the day, very noisy…

Very nice stay, quiet location, you do have to walk a bit if you want to see any main attractions. Very clean, friendly front desk staff, only issue we had was that the toilet wasn’t very clean but everything else was. I would also recommend asking for a view if possible, the option wasn’t given when we booked and for our first two nights in Ireland we stared at a wall which was disappointing. Despite that we would still stay again.

On check in the room was not clean, there were hairs on the toilet floor where clearly someone had shaved (previous occupant), along with this there was also a large stain on the bedsheets. We raised this with reception and was told that they’d get housekeeping to do a “full service” to clean the room. When we returned, all that had been done was the bed was made and towels had been replaced but no cleaning whatsoever. We informed reception of this and was greeted with the right words apologising but clearly no intention to rectify the problem, would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Samuel Hotel is beautiful, clean, really friendly staff, great location, fabulous bar. Highly recommend, nothing was too much trouble. Staff were amazing. Great location by the river and easy access to public transport. Beds are super comfortable. Extremely clean.

We were allocated an accessible room . It didn’t smell overly fresh when we arrived . It was dark and gloomy with tiny windows in the corner. The bathroom was huge but nowhere to set anything down ( need to have some surface space to set toiletries !) there was no fridge which would have been welcome. I found the whole experience a little miserable . The rooms on the website looked bright and airy . Parking nearby was reasonable at €20 for 24 hours .

Tiny beds - haven’t slept on a bed that small since I was 12 years old. A/C shuts off after a set time so during the middle of the night the room gets *hot* and waking me up. Not good for a night’s sleep. Shower drain doesn’t keep up so you end up standing in a pool of water and if you’re a woman washing and conditioning hair you will flood past the threshold. Not a recommended hotel for the price

The room was expensive and had only one drawer in which to store clothing. The hair dryer and safe were defective but were replaced. Three out of four mornings I was told there was no cream. We had to ask for face cloths and they were not always supplied. The cleaning was desultory. The check in time of 4 pm is ridiculous, especially after an overnight flight.

Like the new dockland development but opening you window in the morning to see a multifloor glass office full of people some 10 meters away was unsettling. As well, the AC couldnt keep up with hot days in Dublin. I know they are rare, but room was unbearably hot.

Best feature was very comfortable beds. Decent bathroom. However, room was small - one drawer for multiple guests. Only place to put our suitcases was on the floor. No desk, just tiny table, with two small hard plastic chairs. Exercise room looked good but was locked - no access.

Excellent value for an upscale stay in the city. In the business district, so you do need to take transportation to get to the attractions in City Centre, but the trade-off is that you get a clean, modern hotel. Check-in was a little rough as staff seemed new and made several errors in assigning our rooms, but that was a minor blip and everything was clean, comfortable and beautiful. Parking is provided at a reasonable cost (being in the city) , but be aware it is 2 blocks away. All in all, we will keep this on our Favorites list when returning.

Our group had an excellent stay at the Samuel Hotel and its staff. The hotel is located in a quieter area of Dublin and offers an on-site cafe and restaurant. There’s also a nearby grocery store and several food options to enhance our stay. Overall, the hotel is very clean and the staff is helpful. We would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Dublin.

The hotel itself is good. Great coffee shop. Nice restaurant. Modern technology. However, I flew overnight from Canada and arrived at the Hotel around 8:30am. I got an email offering for online check-in. I also got an email asking if I wanted upgrades including an early check-in (for a fee). I tried to purchase the early check-in and it said it was not available. I asked the staff at the hotel and they said because I signed in online they could not help. They did nothing. I had to kill 5.5 hours that morning. Went for walks, had coffee, went to museum and hung out in lobby. My colleague from Canada arrived from the airport 30 minutes after I did and was able to get early check-in at the same hotel. I don’t ever write reviews but this was highly annoying. The lack of effort or explanation from the staff was unprofessional. So, don’t check-in online is my advice. Check in at the hotel.

Both room and staff. No access whatsoever to the AC, it is centrally controlled. Brought the issue to the manager, he promised to give us a refund of the 50 euros they charged us for early check in. Which was already a scam btw; the room is there ready waiting for you but they won’t let do an early check in if you don’t pay 50 euros! After promising the refund would go through, it of course didn’t and I sent 2 emails that got ignored: They are straight up just ghosting me.

All went well but felt very unwelcome from moment we entered. Front desk reception staff was literally rude to the point of us feeling uncomfortable. Nice hotel but have to think there are other options with friendlier staff.

Our room was very nice and the included breakfast was nice. The fact that there was also a restaurant in the hotel for dinner was nice as well. The location was a drawback as it was hard to get around if you didn't want to call an Uber.

hotel was clean, but the rooms were small and thin. I had several bad experiences in the restaurant downstairs, there was a shortage of staff, it took twenty minutes to get the bill and i wasn't offered drink refills or the dessert menu. the restaurant is poorly staffed and managed.

Hotellet var skikkelig fint og moderne, rent overalt, hyggelige ansatte og veldig bra beliggenhet. Det var mye kortere til alt enn vi hadde trodd. Det som trakk ned, var frokosten. Utvalget var allerede ganske svakt, og det ble enda verre fordi de brukte altfor lang tid på å fylle på. Det endte med lite mat å velge mellom, og det lille som faktisk var tilgjengelig, var ikke veldig imponerende.

This was a well located property, with easy access to coffee shops, and the tram. Downsides, upcharge to check in early of 50 Euro's (we have travelled to many other countries and they just let you check in) There are no supper dining options near by or in the hotel if you have been on a day trip.
