I selected the hotel because of its pool. Unfortunately it is a health club open to members, so was packed all the time and I was unable to use it. Also, the area only has a couple of pubs that are completely packed with tech workers. The restaurants nearby are packed with theatre goers, so difficult to get a table before 8.

Hotel looked soo much better than it did in the pictures I think it might have been done up very recently. The entrance is very nice we got a real sense of arrival. The bar area was very nice to sit in they had a good selection and the pints were really fresh. We had dinner at the hotel the first night and it one of the best meals I had the whole trip and came out in good time. The rooms were bigger than expected and housekeeping would come in later which gave us time for a lie in. The whole place was very clean The spa and pool was very good and well run I found it strange that we had to wear shower caps when we went out into the pool apparently this is the law in Ireland. The hotel sells them for £3 though which is fairly reasonable. Overall very nice hotel we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Hotel was comfortable and in very good location for Bord Gais and Convention Centre . Major gripe was the parking scenario. Was told to park in car park around the corner . At check in wasn’t advised on discount and that I had to register car park online etc . Eventually figured it out . Also no EV charging point in car park so defo won’t be back (this is needed at all hotels in this day and age) . Thought the car park was “punchy” too af €20 a night including hotel discount .

A bit far from much of anything. Room was a bit dirty stains on floor and pillows. Staff couldn’t even give us a recommendation for where to eat when they advised the restaurant was closed at like 9pm. Meh. Wouldn’t stay there again. Oh and the pool sucked cause tons of kids and you have to wear swimmer hats. Weird.

Das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig. Derzeit ist eine Baustelle im Hotel. Da war es ein wenig lauter. Im Hotel ist es sehr warm. Die Fenster lassen sich aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht weit öffnen. Der Pool und die Sauna waren hervorragend. Im Pool muss eine Badekappe getragen werden.

Laura at the front desk was excellent. The only hotel that we have ever been in where we had to wear bathing caps in the pool which we feel was just a money grab.

Very disappointed that the swimming pool is only open from 0800until 0830 at the weekend and then the pool is taken over by children's swimming lessons . There is no consideration for guests who have paid good money to stay here ,specifically for the leisure facilities.

Nice enough hotel. They are re doing their lobby so it’s a bit hectic with construction. The room was nice but the floors (hard surfaces) wasn’t cleaned very well. There were accumulated dust that was still on floor. Never once was the hallway clear of bags of linens from other rooms checking out. Restaurant was so so. Don’t get the chicken parm. The chicken was maybe 2 ounces.

I have stayed this property over 70 times in the last 10 years. However, it had been a few years since this last visit. As I expected, the staff were great; they were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also outstanding, and even had a dedicated section to gluten-free options. And, one of the days we stayed we had to leave before the breakfast was served, and they offered to pack a boxed breakfast for us that we picked up at the front desk. The hotel is, however, beginning to show its age. Wood surfaces were looking somewhat worn and aged. My biggest concern is that there was mold or mildew in the shower, and that the toilet continually leaked water on the floor in the bathroom. We did address it with the staff, and they indicated that it was resolved, but the problem did persist. Overall, we had a very nice day, but there were certainly opportunity for this hotel to, freshen up and clean up just a bit.

Everything was great - except my sleep. The windows don't open much and there's no air conditioning. So overall it was always too warm in the room. The smell of the carpets was not exactly pleasant. Various homeless folks hung out at the area and making noises throughout the night, which occasionally woke me up. Worst though was that both mattress and pillows felt like filled with rocks - not just firm, but extremely hard and uncomfortable. This made it impossible to get a decent sleep throughout the entire week of my stay.

Great, friendly helpful reception staff who were able to check us in a little earlier than 3 due to illness. Room was excellent in that the beds and pillows were very comfortable and spacious room with 2 double beds. Only small note was no switch to operate fan in bathroom. Not cheap but excellent location.

Great location, city centre only 15/20minute walk away. Plenty of selection for breakfast, friendly staff, pool, sauna, steam room and a hot tub, a nice bonus. Currently building work in progress, which wasnt an issue but was not made aware prior to arrival. Also building work next door to the hotel again no issues with noise or anything. Rooms are slightly dated, shower water pressure poor, due an upgrade but very clean, spacious and a comfy bed. No air con in the room, a fan is provided but not the best. Overall great hotel, would stay again.

Easy self check-in and out. Friendly staff. Great location, next to theater and restaurants within 5 to 15 min walking. Not a quiet night of sleep though. No air conditioning means you have to open the sliding door for some air...but you also can't shut the curtains for darkness because it will block any breeze. Felt like I was basically sleeping outside and partying all night. You can hear conversations and cars driving by. So our night of sleep was hot and loud.

Very helpful staff, held our bags in the lobby on arrival and departure. The room was clean and well kept. Located in a transport hotspot with a lovely bar and the river just down the street. The lobby is currently undergoing a refurbishment and a demolition site to the side of the hotel but we were not impacted by the noise etc of this. The room even had a fan which was especially needed in this hot weather. Thanks again!

I had reserved for two days, and couldnt make it. So I called the day before.. was told they were able to cancel it, but I had to call hotels/expedia. So I did.. they then called Clayton hotel but were refused to cancel or re-arrange the hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel..

Odd experience. I paid the extra charge for an upgrade to an Executive room and when we got to the room it seemed like a standard room. I spoke with reception and they confirmed that I was in a standard room as no available Executive room was available. If I hadn’t inquired I would have paid for an upgrade without receiving one.

The staff was extremely rude at check in. Wanted us to do everything online and wouldn’t help when they saw we were having issues. Mind you, there were four people there that could have checked us in as they stood there watching us struggle.

The checkin process was horrible. As well, preordered something for the room which wasn’t in the room, in addition when did provide the preorder items it was incorrect. Cleaning wasn’t great - basically folded the same towels we used. Checkout was a bit better but not as easy as other hotels I stayed at. For an Expedia VIP hotel didn’t get the silver member perk.

Beautiful hotel in a very convenient location for exploring Dublin. Breakfast was excellent Check-in was not to our liking only because it was very impersonal asking us to use a kiosk even when there was no lineup at the reception desk.

Great hotel for events at Bord Gais Theatre. Construction work started quite early however and woke me at 8am. Hairdryer very hard to use as the lead didnt stretch enough touse in fro t of the mirror. Despite being told by reception I didnt need to book for food i then had a 20 min wait for a table, and a further30 min for food once ordered. Hotel rooms were fantastic though

The meals served in the restaurant are terrible. Something akin to hospital food but much more expensive. I would guess that the food is prepared off site and reheated in the hotel. Although mine was cold. Breakfast was good.
