The pool wasn’t what was advertised, you can’t lay be the pool, no sun beds as it’s in the middle where the bar area is. I only booked it because it looked like a nice pool false advertising

Small swimming pool in middle of courtyard next to bar area. Helpful staff. Note this is a music venue but this is well advertised so is noisy especially at weekends but if you like some entertainment then this is is a good place to go.

The room I stayed in had very little upgrades since the 70’s. That may add to the charm of it all. However the ammenities left a lot to be desired. Excellent location. 2 blocks from the beach. Free safe and secure onsite parking a big ✅

the pool area is in full view of the public bar where patrons are smoking and drinking, so it not very inviting or private. The 3 pm check in is terrible when been travelling and you just want to chill and relax. The beds are great and the rooms are clean. A good 3 ☆

My room was clean and tidy , there were no power pionts at the bed head area , for my resmed to plug into , so i had to unplug TV and use that power outlet . The pool wasn't heated so nobody was swimming .

Lovely room and lovely service at check in. But in the evening the pool area became a night club till early hours. We asked for an early wake up call 330am for out 6am flight and we didnt get it! We almost missed out flight if not for the grace of jetstar staff & a christmas miracle we would have missed it.

The pool and spa was unavailable most days to hotel residence most days. Bar facilities also only available for a fee which varied in price on most days. Room was old and tired. Reception unfriendly. Although food availability was limited the coffee shop staff was a rare positive. Coffee good.

Hands down some of the nicest staff and the facilities are amazing. Spent the day at the pool whilst waiting for my flight and was heavenly, so quiet and enjoyable.

When we booked we didn’t realise that the Hotel was a famous venue for live rock music, having featured Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and AC/DC amongst its more famous guests. The Hotel has a 1970’s retro styling so don’t expect the most up to date facilities. Nevertheless, it was clean and the staff were very helpful. It is conveniently situated a 5 minute walk to Scarborough’s excellent beach, outdoor pool and many eateries. However, as the concert room adjoining the bar is part of the hotel, expect loud music from 8pm to midnight on Thursday - Saturday nights. And I mean loud, the bass resonates through the walls and windows. An experience, but not for everyone.

Walking into my room was like walking back into the 70s with the retro carpet and shower curtain. For the most it was a clean room but there was some mould on the bathroom ceiling which they need to deal with. Not the most sound proof of accommodations either so getting a decent night sleep was impossible.

It was kinda cool vintage but it is a bit run down. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable, shower worked well. And I did appreciate the double glazed windows when it was trivia night, but on Thursday there was a DJ and the pub was so loud double glazing did not make a difference. If I was on a vacation I wouldn’t have minded but I was in Perth on business and the noise kept me awake.

This hotel desperately needs updating. The toilet seat is cracked, stained and probably unhygienic. The shower head is placed in a corner and ok for someone small, but not for anyone bigger as there isn't enough room between the two walls to get under it properly. The tap on the wash basin isn't over the basin, so floods the back of it when running water and is also not easy to get a glass of water or fill the kettle. There is no bed side table on one side, although plenty of room for one. The fridge has missing shelves. However, the staff were amazing and sorted out two issues for us really well and quickly - can't fault them. Our towels were changed daily so I would like to see a notice, like many hotels, that if you leave your towels on the floor, then they need changing but if they're hing up, then don't. Save the hotel money, and saves water and power at the same time. It's in a convenient location for what we wanted but we won't stay there again.

Liked our room as had view of the water but bathroom needs remodelling because very hard to get to toilet, too bad if you are a big person! Should take out large wardrobes that no one uses and add to bathroom.

I booked a superior pool room but was on 2nd floor. Very noisy from music below. Wasn't offered our free drink on arrival. Not enuff power points in room lucky only 2 of us. Got a deal thru Expedia as i would never pay full price of 200 a night. Upside bed comfy and pizzas were gr8 from the bar

Decor very dated, but clean. Parking good. Not many power points in room, had to charge phone in bathroom because the room outlet was flush with the floor. Bed wasn’t great, pillows a bit lumpy. Honestly expected a nicer place for the price.

Staff not friendly on arrival It was just gone 9pm every thing was closed ,it said when i booked a free glass of wine this was not offered or available, i had to buy a bottle of wine for 48 dollars there was no lift working, the water was not working i couldn't have a shower. The tap in rhe bathroom wasnt even over the sink. It was just an nightmare of a stay . It cost $225 .00 for the night. The pictures when i booked it in the website was totally different. I was so disappointed. The whole hotel is old and dated. Never again.

Property is located in a fantastic Perth location, Scarborough Beach. Hotel is an easy walk to the beach and shops. Property is clean, however can be a bit noisy due to hotel patrons being close by. Staff are very good. Rooms are older and TV's worked some of the time. If you are not going to be staying in the room a lot, then recommend property, however, TV's need to be fixed.

We were tired we booked out of desperation just wanting a place to sleep and shower. Fabulous service when we arrived a room upgrade. A cold beer. Bed was comfortable shower excellent. A really goodnights sleep. Great toasted sandwich and coffee at the cafe. Interesting decor.

This is a gem of a hotel in the heart of scarborough. Its old but really well maintained such a cool vibe, the bar downstairs is awesome with bands on & the pool area is ace!! Great place!!

The hotel is clean but definitely dated. Thats probably part of the charm. The bed is large and comfortable, the shower not so much. The pub downstairs is a big draw card. Lots of things happening. I especially enjoyed the trivia on Tuesday and unplugged music on Thursday. I would definitely return.

Everything was great But it would have been good to have toaster and microwave as a matter of course rather than having to hire it. Most other hotels we have used over the last few years have always had them included in the room price. This is an older property but well kept even though it does show a little age. Very good that the check in counter is manned 24/7 and the staff just could not do enough for us and many other guests we noted. The toasty shop in the bar would be great if it had a wider range in my opinion. Overall a good stay indeed.

Great spot. Reasonably priced, perfectly clean with a decent pub attached to it. It's basic, but has everything you need. Only down side is you're limited on the food front to toasties...albeit pretty good toasties, but toasties all the same. I'd stay again.
