The hotel is under going renovations and there was a lift bucket outside our window painting until about 11 pm. The parking lot was taped off for “safety” Which made parking and carrying bag in and out more challenging. Our room had dirty bedding, filthy towels and behind the bathroom door was hair rocks and filth. Don't think they have ever cleaned out behind the door. There is a un Homed encampment right across the street. A lot of traffic going through the garage and ash trays on the property. I would not have ventured out in the area at night.

While this was a basic hotel in terms of decor and furniture, the hot breakfast every morning was a great feature, as well as the laundry facilities. It was central to everything in Red Deer and served our needs well. Would stay there again.

The location was perfect with Tim hortons in the same parking lot and many choices for meals in close proximity. Enjoyed using the gym; although limited equipment. But overall clean, decent breakfast and polite staff.

Rooms were very old and not properly cleaned. Hair and dust collected behind mattress under head board. Bed covers and pillow covers had hairs and stains. It was very poor stay. My kids didn't want to sleep when they saw the stains on covers. It was not fresh stains but looked like washed and stains remained after. Very loud street although we slept on the third floor. Overall very poor experience and i won't be staying their again. I didn't want to change rooms as we were driving for hrs and super tired. However in the morning we found out hotel is fully booked anyway. The only great thing about this hotel is the breakfast and the breakfast staff member April. Food was clean tasty and fresh. She was very kind and hardworking. 5stars to that only.

I was very disappointed in this hotel. I stayed on the 18th and 19th of November. I will never stay in this hotel. The first night we stayed the room had some hair in the bath. However, I understand some times it can happen. The second night, the room was nasty! I pulled down the blankets on the bed. There were big gross spot on the sheet. I would post the picture, but can’t. The only good thing about this hotel is the lady that worked the breakfast room, she was friendly, loved her! plus the dining room was clean and the hash browns were delicious.

Woke up at 4am to multiple bed bugs all over the bed. Front desk immediately got us a new room. As we checked the new bed for bugs, we found it full of hairs, head hair and otherwise... Front desk gave us new bedding to change ourselves, which was fine. We requested a call from the manager, never heard from her until we called in the afternoon. Expedia did refund our stay - but ew. Front desk staff and breakfast was good. Manager was less than mediocre.

There was a super gross stain on the floor in our room. The rest of the carpet was in terrible condition. When we were doing our final check before we left in the morning, we notice something at the foot of the bed. When we checked what it was, it was a remote control under the mattress pad which I think means that our sheets hadn’t gotten cleaned. Gross. There was another remote on the dresser. I do not recommend.

The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. And the carpet was so stained it gave the room a dirty feel. Not impressed at all. I would be embarrassed if I were the owner/operator. The sink didn’t drain properly. The shower was great. The pillows were way too hard. I have a sore neck.

Read a review complaining about the air conditioner noise and thought they were exaggerating - they were not. Unit is old and very noisy when running, and makes a terrible, loud, abrupt noise every time it turns on. It also only has a high fan setting (no adjustments) so it was very windy in the room. Our phone randomly rang once in the evening and once at 4 am?! The alarm was not turned off after the last guest and we weren't aware until it woke us again at 6 am. There is also no sound barriers - we could hear everything above us. Cleanliness was good though and breakfast was just fine.

Great location, nice hotel. Check Expedia for "business rooms", which are enormous and go for close to the same price as regular rooms. The complementary breakfast is way better than almost any other included breakfast I've ever seen. Highly recommend.

Check in was quick, room was comfortable. The only complaint was our heating system wasn’t working properly. It was 65 degrees when we got into our room. The heat would not work , it only blew cold air. We did get someone to check it and she wasn’t able to get it working properly so we just shut it off. The lady was very pleasant. The same lady was working in the breakfast area in the morning and was so friendly and making sure everything was filled quickly. Checkout was easy.

The room was very clean and a decent size, but could hear people upstairs stomping around, which disrupted my sleep. Staff were pleasant, but not over the top. Good price for a night’s stay, but would have been nice to see the fireplace burning in the lobby as a nice touch. More selection for included breakfast, such as fresh fruit (not just bananas) and muffins or pastries would have been appreciated.

The gal checking us in went over and above. We were pulling a long stock trailer with truck. Got to the parking lot and had no place to park. She came out, looked at our unit and found us a place along the front of the hotel. Was so appreciated. Hotel was clean, room spotless. Breakfast also good.

Upon getting off the elevator after checking in the entire 3rd floor stunk of marijuana, then upon entering our room it also stunk of marijuana. There was a door adjoining to the room next door and we could hear every word that the people in the next room said at regular conversation talking level since the rooms have no insulation. Then upon taking a look around the room there were stains on the carpeting and on the bedding. This was enough to make us want to leave within 5 minutes of seeing the room, yet despite having been at the hotel for less than 10 minutes as a whole (including the time it took to check in), the clerk Moses would not offer any full or partial refund. He would not even check me out so I had to go back yet again the next day to check out and have my security deposit returned to my card. This entire hotel was dirty, old and had a terrible vibe. 10/10 would NOT recommend. DO NOT believe the ratings in Expedia, do further research so you don’t go through the same situation and waste your money.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. All the staff, including the check-in counter the wonderful lady who ran the breakfast to the cleaning staff, made it a great stay. The room was exactly what I needed and was kept clean and I had plenty of room. You know with the price there are going to be some challenges. It is an older property and it is away from the trendier parts of Red Deer. . So I would just summarize that I would stay here again in a heartbeat as the parts of the hotel that staff and management have control over are well taken care of and I really enjoyed my steak.

The location to the hospital is the only thing this hotel has going for it and the very courteous gal that helped and it is Pet friendly The carpets are gross and the homeless hanging out the hotel is horrible My husband has to come with me to take our dog out

For the hotel price per night, I would recommend staying here. It was very clean, it was quiet, and the staff, especially for breakfast, was absolutely amazing! They offer a hot breakfast, and made sure that the food was refilled on time and the dining area was clean.
