Great place to stay in red deer. The spa/gym was spectacular. Had options at the gym and there was both a sauna and steam room along with a hot tub and a decent size. Indoor pool also ordered food from the restaurant and it was delicious. How do you recommend.

Great stay on all other aspects, however, very disappointed there were hot water problems. A cold hot tub and cold blasts in my shower when I was trying to recover from the cold hot tub.

It was fine to sleep at and the casino was run well. Did not like the fact that the hot tub was not functional the entire stay or that the elevators were continually out of service or took at least 10 minutes. Very inconvenient.

I don’t drink. I don’t like casinos. Stay on a Tuesday - low season. The club room experience was fantastic. Snacks and coffee in your own lounge in the evening. Full breakfast in the morning. By 9:30, no one in fitness room, pool and hot tub area.steam room and change area felt like it was my own place. Hot tub was hot not warm and pool was cool. I will be back

Staff were fine. Everything else was horrible. Pool was shut down by the department of Health. No one informed me that when I checked in. I was stuck on the elevator twice. I paid for an upgraded room and did not receive it and was offered no refund I was disrespected because my wife requires a certified medical service animal For that reason we were put in a pet room. We don’t have a pet and my wife doesn’t need to be punished because of a handicap

Excellent service from staff. Highly recommend the club level - breakfast was definitely worth it. Spotless pool. Very well equipped gym. Rooms are noisy. Hall noise easily travels into the room due to flimsy doors. Showers are meh. It’s an older hotel with just cosmetic updates.

Our stay was fine except both the hot tub and one elevator were out of order. A bit loud, late on the Saturday night. Book the club room. The free breakfast, daily access to coffee/tea, and evening snacks and drink are well worth the extra charge.

We had a a speedy check-in, beds were comfortable and staff friendly. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is lacking. I noticed the carpet was very dirty in some areas. Our hotel room carpet had a lot of stains. This always makes a person feel a little gross in a hotel room. In the morning the pool had large clumps of hair? Or maybe brown dirt floating on the bottom. I don’t think I would stay again unless the cleanliness is improved.

Early check in was appreciated, however, our room had crumbs on the carpet and a used towel hanging behind the bathroom door, and long black hair on the bedding. Pool and gym were great, as well as the lounge by the lobby.

The room was spotless. Courteous staff. The club room was good and relaxing. Clean and spacious gym, enjoyed the steam room and hot tub. We had a great time at the casino where we had delicious meals.

We stayed in a king suite. Did not get a view of city as advertized the room was spacious but dark and upon having a bath i had to clean tub 3 times due to pet hair before taking a bath , also the pull out couch and bed had a lot of short dark animal hair. Otherwise , location great casino was nice, staff was very nice

So much noise going on at night, their fan from the vent is so noisy. The upstairs and hallway wall and ceiling seems like a paper thin no insulation. I didn’t get to sleep at all.

The service was good, everything was nice and clean. Some thoughts need to be invested in the guest rooms. The pillows are rock solid and the fire alarm sits right on top of the bed and shines a green light! I need darkness to sleep. It didn’t happen.

I booked the room for my son as he had a course to go to. It took them over an hour to get checked in. The room was charged to my credit card almost immediately but had a huge issue with the damage deposit authorization firm. The clerk kept telling me I had not signed the form, what wasn’t correct was the way I entered my card info. He stayed at a different hotel the week prior not a problem checking in. Was embarrassing and frustrating for my son to say the least. Concierge should know and relay proper information, as well as listen to what guests are saying and not talk over them. Whole experience was unpleasant will never stay there again or recommend to this place.

Everything was excellent - they were able to accommodate an early check-in for us which was amazing as we drove all night and desperately needed sleep. Staff was great, room was clean and all was excellent.

We enjoyed visiting the casino but check in was not a good experience. The check in before us got the spiel on whee the pool was and how to access the amenities and we did not. The comment was since you booked on"expedia" like that was a dirty word. Not likely to book another stay.

We had a good time at this hotel. The only bad thing was that we had no hot water on the evening or morning on one of the days we were there. I did tell the front desk but she said, “that is to bad, I will let them know”. I am not sure what she meant.

Unfortunately, this hotel left us extremely disappointed. After a 45-minute wait to check in, standing in a lineup of nearly 40 people, we barely made it to our Christmas party—definitely not the start we were hoping for. Still trying to stay optimistic, and remembering how much we enjoyed this hotel 25 years ago, we were excited to return. That excitement faded quickly. It was heartbreaking to discover that the rooms appear virtually untouched since our last stay—aside from the hallways being painted white and some paint smudged inside the older rooms. Our room had no face cloths, and the space was so small it was difficult to move around. To make things worse, a large dog barked for an hour in the middle of the night, and someone repeatedly ran around in the room above us. The most disappointing moment came the next morning when we invited guests to join us for breakfast. The staff’s appearance felt unprofessional, the service was mediocre, and the food was so underwhelming that three plates went unfinished. We ended up leaving and having breakfast elsewhere for half the price—with far better food and service. It made the whole morning feel wasted. The casino is fantastic, but the rest of the resort was honestly a huge letdown.

We stood in line, checked in, went all the way up to our room only to find the keys didn't work. I went back to the lobby, stood in line again, finally got to the front and told the attendant that our keys didn't work. He found that we had been given the wrong room number!! They never have enough staff at the check in desk! Most of the time when I walked past the desk, there was only one person on staff with a long line up. There was no option for a quick check out. Had to go stand in line again!!

The outside seemed to have quite a few homeless people. The room was comfy and the club lounge was very welcoming and friendly with a decent spread of food…get a club room to enjoy this! The tv was complicated to use and very limited of channels, heard the same from another guest in the elevator. Overall it was a nice stay and the building inside is beautiful however we came on a long weekend and the Monday the shops inside were closed and the main fancy restaurant is open odd hours.

Older place and rooms are definitely dated, but it was a great stay, clean amenities and nice shops inside the consider to the casino. Great restaurant in site with amazing brunch. Casino was great and good win rates.

We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t rate that as excellent. The garden Restaurant had very slow service Friday evening. The staff in the VLT lounge were excellent!! Friendly, quick, and attentive. Rooms were very clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The price was affordable. Expedia was cheaper than booking directly. We were there for a conference and the lunch and plated dinner were wonderful, very tasty and large portions. The staff were cheery and attentive. I recommend

Our breakfast was good, Casino food was mediocre, Lounge food was good. Impressed with the cleanliness of the Casino and that it was not as loud as many are. Hotel room was very clean and quiet. Staff were very good.
