Bali Tropic Resort & Spa - CHSE Certified

A great place to stay if you want somewhere that is right on the beach but exudes peace and quiet. There are sunbeds on the beach away from the pool area that sometimes has activities going on but they cannot be heard from the beach. The premises is very clean with nicely appointed rooms and a brilliant breakfast spread. I would stay here again if visiting Nusa Dua!

The staff were absolutely lovely. The room was amazing with lives comfy beds and AC. The food & drink were wonderful! The pool, pool bar and beach were spotlessly clean. Unfortunately I picked up Bali Belly from the resort but the onsite doctor and nurse were amazing coming to my room to give me IV fluids and other meds. I would definitely go back!

The room was ready for us and the staff so helpful even though we arrived at 1:45AM. Due to flight issues, we missed our first night and it was too late to cancel. The breakfast was wonderful. Lots of fresh choices and fresh made options. Staff was super friendly. The grounds were beautiful. We will return and stay here another time.

This property is listed as a four star property and it isnt at best it is three star. The resort rooms are tired and in need of renovation. We had a constant smell of sewage and damp/mould in our room and were provided a dehumidifier as a solution. A request for a room move was met with 'equivalent room not available but we can downgrade you' response. Alternative room also smelled. The room was not made up properly on a number of occasions. The bed not made up and cups/glasses not replaced. It should be noted that water is provided via a communal water cooler in the hallway in favour of bottled water. The front desk team had very little knowledge outside of their job eg. What was in the local area and were for the most unhelpful. The tour desk manager was never at the desk! Perhaps the biggest black mark is reserved for NYE, where we paid $500 for a NYE gala dinner which was in fact a buffet with very average wine on offer. The drag queen was mediocre and spent the majority of her act sucking up to the resort owners who were attending! The resort also decided 10 minutes before midnight that there would be no fireworks. The only upside to this debacle was the band who were excellent! Upsides, a great pool, swim up bar, the grounds and spa. Barman Chiko a real plus for the place! Downsides, in addition to the above, favouritism shown to eastern europeans also holidaying there. It was very noticeable! Has potential IF updated. Many other 4 star resorts in the area to try.
