The property looks very nice. The breakfast and lunch area were bright and airy, and I appreciated having an indoor, air conditioned space to eat breakfast and lunch. The grounds were lovely with lots of greenery. The pool was nice, with swim up bar. Really nice beach chairs and covered areas on the beach provided. Better than other hotels nearby. The guest rooms tho, need updating. The furniture has clear signs of wear and tear. The rain-like shower heads need either a serious cleaning or to be replaced altogether. I chose not to use it and used the hand held shower head instead. The first room I was given- on the ground floor- definitely had a noticeable funky smell the second I entered. I switched rooms to a much better smelling room, but was informed the balcony looked out to the street. That said, the street was a side street with vendor stores and was not that busy. I had spent the previous 7 nights at Sofitel- a 10 min walk south on the beach, which is a much more luxurious and expensive resort. That said, the staff at Sol were just as pleasant and attentive as at Sofitel. For the price of staying at Sol, it was well worth the money spent.

From the omelette station in the morning to the poolside daiquiri to the local beer. The minibar was always refilled but that beer was not as good and no coke only coke zero. Lovely hotel with welcoming and friendly staff. We got a large clean refurbished room with balcony that faced the sea. We had the all inclusive package which was well worth it. 24 hour a la carte restaurant as well as buffet lunches and dinners and a fine dining restaurant all included. Full drinks package with a large selection of cocktails also included. Great pool with plenty of loungers and also a private beach with loungers.

We spent a week at Sol by Melia for our honeymoon and our stay was great! The resort is quite small but not overly crowded which was great. We were greeted the moment we arrived and was given a lovely cake for our honeymoon celebration. We opted for the all- inclusive package so technically everything was included except for premium alcohol like rose and etc which was fine. The overall presentation of the resort is good but can notice some cracks here and there within the buildings but you can also tell they are working to either fix or maintain it which is good. The food is very good! You basically get buffet during breakfast, lunch and dinner but there’s also a a la carte that is 24 hours! They also have daily activities like live music or fire dance depending on which nightly dinner event you go to. There’s also snack bars like gelato or coconut booth you can go to whenever!

Very disappointed with our stay. We saw a cockroach twice scuttling around the bathroom sink. We took a video and photo of the cockroach and went to the manager to complain. Our complaint was ignored, the senior manager could not be bothered to even see us. We booked all-inclusive for four nights, surely you would expect better customer resolution skills!

Das Person ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel aber alt und abgewohnt. Unsere Suite war nicht sauber, die Türen undicht, sodass Geggos ein und ausgegangen sind. Aus dem Abfluss an der Toilette hat es strenger gerochen, das wurde vom Personal aber abgestellt. Nachts hatten wir im Waschbecken zwei große Käfer. Alles in allem absolut keine 4 Sterne. Sehr enttäuschend.

The facility did change our room but the subsequent one had a mouldy / sewerage stench which we had to endure for an additional night until they could change our room again. After this our holiday improved, the staff were very nice, helpful and respectful...

Property is clean but a bit tired. Staff were excellent and friendly.The room had a very hard bed and we had to get massages to relax back and neck.The pool was great, breakfast was good but there are better places to stay in nusa dua. The shower was poor had no pressure and had to chase the water to get wet. It was ok but nothing special at all but again the staff were excellent. Won’t be staying there again

Negatives: room was damp and clammy, tiles everywhere are incredibly slippery, staff are friendly however at price point don’t expect to have to chase reception after booking and waiting half an hour to be let into our room and given our luggage, also don’t expect to have to retrieve luggage from luggage room when leaving. Positives: good menu at restaurant, good breakfast, spacious rooms and nice towels and bathroom products Probably won’t stay again and if I did it would be for a couple of nights

Property is clean but a bit tired. Staff were excellent and friendly.The room had a very hard bed and we had to get massages to relax back and neck.The pool was great, breakfast was good but there are better places to stay in nusa dua. The shower was poor had no pressure and had to chase the water to get wet. It was ok but nothing special at all but again the staff were excellent. Won’t be staying there again

Do not use the concierge for a rights and taxis. The rides that they called from the hotel. They rip you off, and don’t take you where you wanna go. And if you order, do not order off the menu. Anything that comes out of the kitchen from the menu is not good there. It’s just old. I hatch my first night. I had a shrimp cocktail and the shrimp look like and tasted like they have been cooked a month ago, and I didn’t even have to chew it. It was disgusting. Sorry to say that, but it was true. Everything I ordered from the menu. Anytime was bad, but they were OK.

Very disappointed with our stay. We saw a cockroach twice scuttling around the bathroom sink. We took a video and photo of the cockroach and went to the manager to complain. Our complaint was ignored, the senior manager could not be bothered to even see us. We booked all-inclusive for four nights, surely you would expect better customer resolution skills!

Overall, I rate this property excellent. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that during my stay, I didn't have the chance to fully experience the all-inclusive aspect. The reason for that was that the facility lacked options for pure vegetarian food. Every single dish had meat or eggs. So we were limited to eating fruits and a few hand-selected veg dishes. BUT I'm very appreciative of the staff for accommodating our needs and the chef for making us dishes outside of the menu. On the very last day, staff brought us a veg menu that they no longer used at their facility.

We stayed in a junior suite all inclusive for 5 nights.1st morning housekeeping are knocking on the door and walking in at 815am to clean the room! I hadn’t even got out of bed. I was sick the entire stay. They poisoned me time and time again. I am coeliac/ gluten free. No one there is educated enough to know what this is. If you have food allergies go elsewhere, spend your money on a good hotel. No service at the bar- 3 staff mucking around just ignored us for over 10 mins. Serving sough dough bread as gluten free, putting poached eggs on white bread then scraping the eggs off the bread and saying ok now no gluten! I’ve travelled to Bali many years and never had a problem until this place. Go elsewhere

I was a bit disappointed in all inclusive option because on the day of arrival they were pretty much closing doors on me saying “bar is closed”, “pool kitchen is closed” when official time of closing was 30-40 min away, so I had to wait for more than an hour before I could eat anything in the main restaurant. Its very beautiful hotel but there were not much to do for fun, just relax by the pool, because ocean water is gone till after 12 pm. The sidewalk on the beach was great for walkers, runners, strollers and alike, and no sale people randomly walking, felt really safe!

The good, the bad and the ugly: The good: small and nice resort by the sea with chairs and umbrellas. Staff is very nice, polite and trying to help. The bad: very limited choice of food, we had all inclusive package but it was the same kind of food every day, although they tried different themes and they had dinner buffet by the beach with some entertainment like shows or duo concerts. The all inclusive concept here is not like all inclusive resorts in Mexico. There is no air conditioning anywhere except your room and you are lucky if it works well. There are a lot of mosquitoes so be careful especially at night. The ugly: the beach, unfortunately it was very dirty, not the blue turquoise color that someone might expect. A lot of garbage on the sea that came to shore every day. The other not good thing about the beach is the low tide that happens every afternoon when you don’t have any water at all to swim. Kind of waste to go to Bali for the beach

A large luxurious room kept very clean. The beautiful, swimmable beach and the pool both have plenty of shade and loungers. The all-inclusive food and drink was great. From the omelette station in the morning to the poolside daiquiri to the local beer. The minibar was always refilled but that beer was not as good and no coke only coke zero. The 'kitchen' alacarte meals are good but the 'garden' buffets for lunch and dinner were excellent.

We got a double bed room with the all inclusive package. Certain staff were super friendly and always shared a laugh. Especially Sutarsa, he works at the bar and is awesome. The main downside to staying here was that not all of the drinks on the menu were included in the all inclusive package. Which is understandable but was a little disappointing considering the price point. The room service was amazing, and they would be super quick to restock the mini bar. The food was okay but it was nice we were able to eat at whatever hour due to the one 24 hour restaurant. Beds were alright. Wish there was more of a discount on the spa for guests however the massage I got was good.

We spent a week at Sol by Melia for our honeymoon and our stay was great! The resort is quite small but not overly crowded which was great. We were greeted the moment we arrived and was given a lovely cake for our honeymoon celebration. If you want a quiet hotel in the heart of Nusa Dua but also right on the beach, this is the place for you. Authentic Balinese architecture and decor, SOL offers you a wonderful escape in the paradise which is Bali. The breakfast is fantastic, as is the themed dinner on the grass (near the beach).
