Magnifica opción para alojarte si no requieres de lujo o modernidad. Tiene los servicios necesarios para una estancia cómoda. Buenas camas, con almohadones (2). Baño (el nuestro) moderno con ducha. Muy bien comunicado a 15 minutos andando del centro pero con metro y buses muy cerca. A pocos minutos andando de la estación de trenes de Bruselas Norte. Por lo que hace mucho mas atractivo la comunicación con el resto de ciudades para ir a visitar. Nosotros (pareja) hemos quedado encantados. Puedes dejar el equipaje en una habitación (consigna) para aprovechar el último día si es posible. Si con lo necesario tienes suficiente, éste hotel es muy recomendable. Magnífica experiencia. No much to do at the hotel

Hotel des Colonies is close to everything. Brussels Central Station and Brussels North is only few minutes walk. Close to a shopping street. The hotel is quite old but the bed is very comfortable which is more important for me. The price is very affordable. Lift isn’t working during our stay so we have to use stairs. The staff at the reception were very accommodating and helpful. The check in and check out is very quick and straightforward without complications.

A bit awkward to find down the small street, obviously to no fault of theirs my phone died and I was left to ask a taxi driver where abouts it was quite late on, confortable beds, good breakfast and a decent gym for a hotel, good location for Brussels Noord train station and the tootbus sightseeing stop is a 2 minute walk which i would recommend to anyone interested in seeing Brussels during their stay, reception area is very nice but rest of the hotel is pretty dated

Leí que a algunos usuarios les cambiaban de hotel una vez hecho el check-in (en un mismo edificio hay 3 hoteles del grupo, Des Colonies, Siru y Progress). Pues a nosotros nos sucedió. A la llegada y después de reservar hace dos meses, nos dicen que en Colonies han tenido "problemas con el aire" en algunas habitaciones y nos tienen que alojar al menos 2/4 noches en Progress. Cierto que es una habitación más grande que Colonies (4 estrellas frente a 3) pero la cama malísima, parecía de agua. La mayor sorpresa es cuando al final de esos dos días, bajamos a las 12 hrs a recepción con las maletas para que nos muevan al hotel contratado (Colonies) y después de decirnos que había ya habitaciones preparadas, rectifican en que tenemos que esperar hasta las 15:00. Un desastre puesto que no vamos a perder medio día de visita por la ciudad por esperar horas ya pagadas. Y argumentan que ya compensaron habiéndonos movido los dos primeros días a un hotel con una estrella más y que no es su problema, ¿Cómo que no?. Esto me da igual pues he venido a conocer la ciudad, el hotel es indiferente tenga mejoras. Finalmente después de discutir, nos dieron habitación en 20 minutos. Más pequeña que el Progress pero igualmente estaba bien y mejor cama. Por otro lado, el desayuno muy bueno, al igual que la ubicación (a 15 min a pie del centro y al lado de la estación Norte). Habitaciones reformadas pero el hotel en sí, se ve antiguo. El ascensor fallaba y las puertas de acceso también.

Very nice quiet place to stay. Staff was helpful, although not always at the desk, but in the back room. Issues with the electrical. The lights randomly turned on and off. Overall a good stay

Like: room had basic facilities required; special mention on charging dock (with usb ports), bed was comfortable, a/c works fine Dislike: corridor was dimly lit while having to move up and down using stairs, to get to my room

Vriendelijke ontvangst. We hadden 1 groot bed maar wilde er graag 2, we kregen direct een andere kamer met met losse bedden. Lokatie uitstekend, parkeergarage naast hotel. Ontbijt was ook voortreffelijk. Enig nadeel was de badkamer, alleen een raam die open kon, onhandige plek douche, geen föhn en wc trok slecht door. Ook de verwarming was niet zelf te regelen. Bij min. 16 graden als het buiten -3 is, is niet prettig. Verder prima verblijf gehad.

The location of the hotel next to train station and city center was excellent. The staff was very friendly and professional. First, I was given a room that wasn't the type I had booked. However, they immediately switched me to a room matching my booking. Unfortunately, the room's condition wasn't good. Part of the bed was like a canyon, the carpeting had lots of very dirty looking stains, the bathrooms handle wasn't properly fixed, and the room's door didn't block noise from the coorider too well. For this price I would have expected a lot better room. But, as said, the location of the hotel is really excellent.

The room is clean and breakfast is enough.

Only good about this hotel is the location. Not far from the Noord station and close to metro, shopping street. The drainer in the shower didn’t work properly, basically was flooded and took hours to drain. Carpet in the room needs a clean up. Arrived one hour before check-in and was turned away, they even didn’t look if there was a room available which any other hotel would do.

The staff are friendly and supportive. The service was very good. The hotel was clean. It was closer to the centre of Brussels

The rooms are very spacious and location is superb. Property is a bit dated. The first room assigned was very dusty which triggered my hayfever. The second room didn’t have this problem.

Séjour satisfaisant dans l’ensemble. Le style nous renvoie aux années 80. La chambre est très bien aménagée et propre, accessible en llein centre et proche des commerces. cependant la machine à café ne fonctionnait pas et il n’y avait pas de tasses non plus. Le lavabo ne syphonait pas l’eau et l’eau sortant du robinet était un peu colorée (brun clair).

Hotellet er generelt meget slidt og lever ikke op til billederne. På vores værelse var der lampe der var ved at falde ud af væggen og maling faldet af. Service var også til den sløve side.

Bed was huge and really comfortable, room was clean. Hotel was in an excellent location and had a really pretty reception area! Would definitely recommend this hotel

Good hotel on a budget. Visited with my family. It could have been cleaner, but vey spacious room and large bed. Breakfast buffet variety was also good. I will recommend it for trips in a lower budget

It is an old property. It has been refurbished, but it remains an old property. Wafer thin connecting doors in rooms let you hear anything next doors. Showers in bathtubs very clumsy to use, clumsy partitions let water onto the floor, difficult to calibrate to the right temperature. Big rooms and bathrooms, but dark. Mirror in bathroom very dark. Very good location, near Brussels Nord. I wouldn't stay here again.

The location was perfect and well connected. the hotel was clean. the staffs were friendly. The big problem was internet. the connection was lost after every a few minutes and was very slow. this caused me a lot of troubles as I had to work in my room.

Great location and good service at the hotel. However, the walls are very thin. It feels like you're living with the people in the neighboring room. Had to complain twice because of noise from the neighboring room.

A very nice experience. The room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the TV was placed at a very comfortable spot (visible from bed, but not too close to disrupt sleep), and the bath tub was really nice! The location was great, very easy to get to/from the airport and train station. Also, a very nice location to have a nice long walk around all the city main views

Nonostante fossimo ancora a marzo la camera era veramente troppo calda, il termosifone era rovente h24 e la termovalvola di regolazione era rotta, quindi anche regolandola su zero la temperatura non si abbassava e bisognava tenere le finestre aperte per respirare. La luce del lampadario era talmente fioca che dopo il tramonto era quasi impossibile vedere nella stanza, se non accendendo le luci sulla testata del letto.

I was travelling solo so appreciated how safe the hotel felt, with needing a room key to enter the hotel and the floor for your room. The staff were friendly and polite. The room was spacious and well equipped.

Hotel Des Colonies, Awful experience, Not recommended. The Reception staff were extremely rude, unhelpful and disinterested throughout our stay. One individual in particular became very aggressive, argumentative and intimidating when asked for the twin beds to be set up as a double bed. Even though we had booked and paid for a double bed and that is how one of the two rooms had been set up anyway. The rooms are tired and the reception area was dark and smelt stuffy and unclean. The breakfast was very poor quality and tasteless. The staff at breakfast clearly did not want to be there and did the bare minimum. There is no way I would recommend this hotel and will actively advise against using it.

Very average hotel for the price honestly. The entire thing needs some renovation and the mattress felt like a baloon, really not comfortable. Breakfast was ok and the staff was very nice and helpful.

After check-out I realized that I left valuables in the room. I notified reception before returning to the hotel, using the phone number available int he Expedia App. When I arrived at the hotel, my problem was resolved in a very professional, responsible, efficient, and courteous way. My congratulations and thanks to the reception and housekeeping staff working on Friday morning Feb 3, 2023!!

Lovely hotel. It was beyond my expectations. Except on lady in the reception rest of the staffs were great. Unfortunately my room was not ready on time and had to wait 30 mins at lobby. The staff didn’t put any effort to compensate the delay.

It was a good stay. Location was very close to many interesting locations. People at front desk answered every question I had very politely and helped me to navigate.

Great location, value for money, and convenient for a short trip. I stayed there for 3 nights and had everything that’s necessary for the trip, restaurants, shops and the metro station is next to the hotel so it’s easy to move around, like 15-20 minute walk from the city center. Would stay here again just keep it mind it’s an old hotel.

Great location 5 minutes walk from Garenoord (north train station). Easy walk to Grand Place/Grote Market. Art deco hotel with history, very cool. Helpful staff. Building construction nearby makes the area a bit dirty but it was not noisy. Great breakfast buffet!

Helt ok hotell. Litt merkelige lys som gikk av og på av seg selv. Snodig at det sto at frokost var mulig å få og at det ikke ble opplyst på forhånd om byggearbeid som gjorde frokost utilgjengelig

Javais demander chambres confort 1 lit king size je nai pas eux de chambre comme sa , la chambre pas top les cadres tout de travers je me demande si il etait pas bouree. Beaucoup de bruit des 6h du matin. Le dejeuner que des choses emballer rien de frais. Tres decue malheureusement je ne reviendrais pas.
