You know the type of place that you don't want to review because you are afraid that everyone will find out about your secret? Even so, I feel compelled to write this because they did such a great job. The property itself is tastefully constructed; about 20 units in 3 buildings (plenty of parking), nestled in the forest next to a lagoon with waterlilies and a charming wooden bridge. (A 2-minute walk to the very fine esplanade, which is a great place to hang out and get dinner your first night). My unit was on the 2nd floor, and I felt that I was living in a tree house, because all I could see (the living area is entirely windowed) was lush forest - palms, eucalyptus and ferns. (And could hear the delightful calls and chirping of birds). The property has a gorgeous, long, and rectangular pool (with attached spa and shallow wading areas) which I swam in every day. The apartment itself was huge, fully equipped (I cooked almost every meal) and comfortable. Finally, the property manager was gracious, kind, informative and generous with their time. They really improved my stay with great advice about the area. 10 out of 10 -- I didn't want to leave.

Excellent location with beautiful garden surrounds! The apartment was very spacious, clean and great for families! We loved the leafy view, whilst also being very close to the beach and restaurants. The pool was completely shaded, quite large and quiet for most of our stay.

The family running the property made the stay so easy - they supported an early check in and late check out and were always on hand to answer any questions. The pool is fantastic and the grounds are well looked after. We will be back!

Amazing private bungalow with living area - full Kitchen, comfortable bed Private - local palms and bushes louvered windows all around - rise with the bird sounds & just outside studio was a 25 meter pool ( not crowded ( you could swim laps!!) and 10 step's away Palm cove esplanade with various cozy small eateries great food and reasonable prices - gluten free punk in lasagne - at surf club a 10 looking out at the quiet and scenic ocean

Wonderful stay for our family of 6. Rooms are spacious, luxurious and well appointed. The property is vast and you rarely see other guests which adds to the privacy feeling. The spa wasn’t working due to a recent weather event. Other than that, everything was excellent. The family that owns/manages the property were friendly and attentive. A logical stay in Palm Cove. Will be back again.

Every studio or apartment is nested in luscious green surroundings and make you feel like you are in the middle of the rain forest! What a feeling. Pool is amazing and access to the esplanade for a walk on the beach and shops is just across the street. Very convenient! Amenities and space was well cared for and clean. Would return and rebook here. Enjoy your stay… they make you feel like a vacation!

Check out strictly at 10.am. Maintenance being carried out, with generators, pruning and pool closures for cleaning while guests are in residence.

The property was just like the pictures - beautiful and clean. Only thing we would have liked to add is cleaning services. We were there for 4 nights but apparently they provide free cleaning only after a week of stay. For beach days with sand in the bathrooms etc a more frequent cleaning would really help

The Sanctuary is exactly that - a beautiful, calm and comfortable stay in paradise. Picturesque setting by the sea, comfortable, clean and spacious apartment and clean, high end facilities in and outside the apartment. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy a few days of peace and tranquility in a gorgeous setting.

A great location, quiet and the managers are very helpful. A little tired in places in the apartment but nothing a coat of paint wouldn’t solve. The swimming pool was clean and a good size. The apartment is a great size with everything that you need. Construction up the road caused internet access to be non existent but to be honest we didn’t care

We stayed in a suite. It was large, private, clean and had all the conveniences we needed. The TV was huge - great for watching a movie in down time. The hot water was a little unreliable at times, but given the hot days whilst there it didn’t really bother us. And the tropical gardens are beautiful and lush. Palm Cove is so walkable and offers many lovely dining options. We would happily stay at this property again should the opportunity arise in the future.
We stayed in a suite. It was large, private, clean and had all the conveniences we needed. The TV was huge - great for watching a movie in down time. The hot water was a little unreliable at times, but given the hot days whilst there it didn’t really bother us. We were in the area and asked to view the room a few days earlier nothing was too much trouble We changed our booking as we found there were more rooms in the apartment and at minimal cost 4 stayed there Brilliant kitchen appliances and pool area We dropped off groceries early the am of arrival the champagne and wine was put in the fridge for our arrival the staff were brilliant

This place was absolutely tremendous. The accommodations were fantastic, the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about what to do and when, and the grounds themselves were beautiful. The wildlife around, being close to the beach etc. As we stated to the host, we will definitely be back.

What a wonderful place! Front desk people were so kind and helpful! The place truly is a sanctuary in the middle of the rain forest and true to the pictures that are posted. Every studio or apartment is nested in luscious green surroundings and make you feel like you are in the middle of the rain forest! What a feeling. Pool is amazing and access to the esplanade for a walk on the beach and shops is just across the street. Very convenient! Amenities and space was well cared for and clean. Would return and rebook here. Enjoy your stay… they make you feel like a vacation!

Gerhart and staff were absolutely fantastic. Friendly and helpful. I accidently lefy my mobile phone in our studio apartment upon check out. Didn't realise it until 90 mins drive towards home. Just one phone call to the office and it was on it's way via Auspost. Thankyou to all involved. Palm Cove and North of ,is Paradise.The scenery is breathtaking and the Sanctuary Palm Cove accomodation was very pleasing. We'll be back.

We totally recommend Sanctuary. The staff are so efficient and friendly always there to help with any queries. Booked our day trips without any hesitation. We will be back. The room was perfect, clean and secluded just what we wanted.

First impressions were excellent. By the end of our stay our opinion had not changed. Large modern well equiped apartments and in a great location around three minutes walk from the beach. The apartments are set in lovely surroundings. There is a large swimming pool for the use of guests. If I was to come back to this area I would happily return to this resort.

Beautiful apartments tucked away just off the Esplanade, easy walk to shops and restaurants and easy 5min drive to Coles for supplies. Rooms were perfectly suited for 4 adults and 2 children family vacation. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Grounds were lovely and the pool was really great for the kids! Would definitely recommend!

Amazing private bungalow with living area - full Kitchen, comfortable bed Private - local palms and bushes louvered windows all around - rise with the bird sounds & just outside studio was a 25 meter pool ( not crowded ( you could swim laps!!) and 10 step's away Palm cove esplanade with various cozy small eateries great food and reasonable prices - gluten free punk in lasagne - at surf club a 10 looking out at the quiet and scenic ocean

Amazing location. We stayed in one of the apartments tucked away with the trees. Pros: - shower pressure is great - it’s peaceful -pool area is cleaned every day and the flooring of the pool area is grippy, so even with a wet surface, it felt safe. - the apartment has louvers so the breeze can come through and they are tinted for the glare. The fly screens are also in perfect shape so you can have them open and no bugs-mozzies can get through. The staff are very accommodating and friendly, great experience the whole stay with them all. Great location in Palm Cove with everything only a short walk. Perfect location for Ironman Cairns.
