Mövenpick Hotel Doha

Alles wirklich super! Nur bzgl. des Pools hatte ich eine andere Vorstellung. Er liegt auf Erdgeschoss-Niveau und - weil im Nordosten des Hotels befindlich - im Schatten. Das was im Hochsommer sicher angenehm ist, ist im Winter nicht so einladend. Die dem Poll angeschlossene kleine Liegewiese ist nur durch eine Hecke von der Straße getrennt - auch nicht so angenehm. Ich kann es nur wiederholen, sonst aber alles super!

Had a good stay at movenpick. Firstly i will start with the good points Service waa really good especially at brekfast they couldjt do enough. Housekeeping also very friendly and cleans very well. Pool and jacuzzi kept clean. The pool is blocked from the sun due to the high buildings however it is slightly heated and my daughter really enjoyed it. The hotel is in a very good location. Not much within walking distance but we had a rental and everything was nearby and easy to get too and there was a petrol station next to the hotel The not so good bits that id improved can make the stay excellent. Parking is limited so if you get back late you will struggle to find a spot however the hotel does offer valet parking if this is the case We had half board included however the dinner was not to our liking. There was seafood night for 2 nights we are not seafood people so we had to go out and buy our own dinner as they would not give us any other options. The thirs night was a 5 dish buffet again food not to our liking so we had to go make our own arrangements so by the 4th night we had given up and did not dine at the hotel. Breakfast buffet there was plenty of options but the food was always very very cold or lukewarm. The buffet burners seem to be switched off so the food was not kept warm Genenral hotel appearance - the rooms were clean but could do with some new carpet bit of paint and just general maintenance. But was clean. Would i stay again - yes -

Good location, excellent staff, clean hotel with spaceous rooms. The hotel has no car parking. Overall good place to stay.

3 night stay in Qatar on return from Far East - interior is great as are the staff. However externally it needs maintenance and this lets the hotel down - pool area particularly needs work

A quick taxi ride from the airport to the hotel and about a minute checking in. I had quite a huge room that had all the requirements i needed such as fridge, kettle, iron. Plus they leave a couple of bottles of water which i used for tea and rinsing my teeth. The bed is comfy. House keeping is hit n miss - basically just do the bed, maybe empty the trash as i leave the room tidy before heading out. I say the best thing is that the hotel is fairly centre, 5 minutes walk from thr national museum of Qqatar and 15 mjns from thr metro. I had the luxury of being able to head back to the hotel on a couple of days as i was tired. I made use of the pool and jacuzzi which was refreshing after being in the heat. Its a shame that there wasn't much of a garden/green space- where you could see the sun. But i appreciate that there was some outdoor space.

Hotel was clean and welcoming, the room was also clean and very spacious. The breakfast was great, variety to chose from and service was friendly. Swimming pool was small but was ok for a 5 day trip. The bar was good to watch the football and happy hour was 5pm-8pm. We also checked out early meaning our breakfast was in containers at reception waiting for us . Overall 10/10 for our family.

In walking distance of two main museums and the souk. Nice swimming pool that (just) allows for doing laps.

Frokosten var bedre enn mange 5 stjerners hotell. Du fikk fersk lagd egg, veldig forskjellige typer retter og god service. Bassenger var litt mindre enn forventet men tidsrommet vi var der var rolig så varme fikk bassenget nesten helt for seg selve. Veldig hyggelig personale.

Great hotel with pool and well located

Hotel location is good. Family friendly but as compare to prices breakfast not free, limited parking and pool wasn't clean a lot fo mosquitos.

This property was not what we expected at all. The first room we got smelt like mold. It is quite an old hotel. The only positive was the proximity to the Museum and souk waqif.

Very clean.

Bed and sofa had stains. Did have the bedding removed.

Staff were attentive. The room was clean, huge, and in a great location (5-minute Uber ride to the Doha Old Port).

The carpets were quite dirty and the most of the things were old. The staff were lovely especially the ones at the restaurant. The desk workers charged us 150 Riyals despite booking the hotel the day before and it being changed by the company

staff was nice but the hotel is really outdated; old furniture, stained carpet, etc. which is a shame because usually Mövenpick is higher standard

El peor hotel donde me he hospedado en mi vida, me cambiaron dos veces de habitación ya que nada funcionaba, ni el WC, el lavabo, la cafetera. apesta a cigarro todo el hotel ya que es viejo, la cama estaba sucia tenía lipstick y cabellos y daba comezón en el cuerpo. Al quejarme en la recepción la atención pésima, intenté cambiar dinero y rechazaban todos los billetes, en fin Eviten sufrir y hospedarse en esta pesadilla.

Room was ok but rather tired. Nothing in mini bar, staff friendly , wifi variable

The staff was by far the best thing about this hotel. The rooms were spacious, however they are in need of some updating as my room had worn out furniture and stained carpets. However, other than the age of the room, it was clean. The bathroom could also use some updating as well. I chose the location because it was close to the airport, the area doesn’t have a lot going on and would probably want to be more centrally located if your going to be sightseeing.

The only criticism is the poor water pressure in the shower.

This hotel is nicely placed for exploring - a short walk away from both the National Museum of Qatar and the Musuem of Islamic Arts. It’s incredible helpful that the room allows late check in too, as without this I wouldn't have booked the room. I landed at midnight. The breakfast buffet options are also great, plenty of fresh food being made in front of you including pancakes, parathas and eggs, as well as plenty of stuff off the shelf. We rocked up quite late and there was still easily enough food with loads of options. The chef even made a fresh grilled fish as there weren’t any left. My key gripe - the smoke smell - if this bothers you, it’s a deal breaker. I asked for 2 non-smoking rooms, albeit approx 24 hours before arriving to the airport - both had strong smells. Moreover, despite requesting the rooms together, they weren’t quite - but they were on the same floor. This was a mix of poor planning on my part and availability, but I did still expect to have 2 smoke free rooms.

Rooms are clean however comparing it to other GCC countries, the room is smaller

Everything was great. Only problem was that the WiFi was very weak that I wasn't able to do Whatsapp calls. Had to use my own data for those

As soon as I arrived, the gentleman working, the door helps me with my bags. They were very polite, professional make sure they held the door open for me the gentleman I believe his name was Shiva was very helpful, very polite, very professional, and the young woman behind the desk. Juneda Was very professional, and very helpful answered all the questions that I asked if I ever come back I would definitely go to this hotel again

The staff blew my mind. 100 percent would be my first option again.

Hotel is old and shabby, it needs proper upgrade, the staff especially at the check in are unnecessarily slow.

An excellent option for any length of stay in Doha. The staff are excellent; from reception, to security, to restaurant, to the Manager. All very friendly & helpful, always happy & smiling. Restaurant food is delicious, although could be a few more vegetarian options. Theme nights are currently Tues & Thursdays seafood, Fri - BBQ, Weds - Mediterranean. Buffet option for breakfast. Rooms are large with very comfortable beds. It’s not the most modern but it’s super clean & housekeeping do an excellent job. It’s a fantastic location - walkable to the Metro & Museum. Uber is super cheap & quick.

So guest friendly, the hospitality is top notch.

Did a 3 day stopover in Doha on way back from Seychelles. Arrived hotel midnight . Everything ran smoothly nothing too much trouble for staff. Bathroom sink plug got stuck and was mended within minutes of asking. Very helpful when it came to printing off the boarding passes

Terrible service. I strongly don’t recommend for anyone. From the check-in we had to wait almost 2 hours in the lobby waiting for them to clean the room. Every time I try calling the room service, the line get transferred to reception, the receptionist says he/she will call room service to tell them to call back, this process takes at least 30 mins before they do the call back. Example: I wanted to add some salt and pepper I make the call it gets transferred wait for them to call, I finished eating by then.

Staff were absolutely amazing, so accommodating, Always made sure i was taken care of. Breakfast is also good, i had no complaints The location of the hotel is awesome not far to walk for local activities like museum or souk waqif... Plenty of restaurants or shops nearby also.. Im so happy with my stay 8nights and everything was perfect!

Wonderful staff and service. The staff would go above and beyond to provide the best service and attention. Breakfast was beautifully laid out with a variety of cuisines to choose from. Would love to stay here again!

You feel welcome at the Mövenpick Doha, the staff is very attentive, helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring many of the nearby attractions such as the National Museum of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art, the Mina District or the Souq Waqif. We will be back the next time we are in Doha.

We stayed here for the night as we had a long layover in Doha. Good option if you don't want to break the bank. 12 mins from the airport by taxi. Clean and comfortable room.

Solid property, great location close to Souq Waqif and The Corniche

Good hotel but surrounds basically offices, so little shops only.

Excellent location walking distance to a lot of the major tourist attractions in the older part of Doha such as Souq Waqif and the National Musuem too. To get to the newer parts of Doha again very accessible via Ubers and public transport.

Great location, close to airport, close to museum of Islamic arts. Good variety with included breakfast. Manager kind enough to extend checkout for a few hours. Would stay here again.

We had a good stay but with some issues. Restaurant staff lovely but food repetitive or not consistent. Seafood buffet for 3 nights ! Had to ask for alternative, same desserts offered every night . Dinner ,no savoury option like cheese instead of repetitive cakes. Room cleaning inconsistent, 2 coffee capsules left each day , no soap replacement had to ask. Top management buzzing around causing issues but only when a Mövenpick visitor was in otherwise never saw them.

Très bon séjour en compagnie de ma femme et ma fille. Service impeccable et personnel serviable et disponible. Seul hic c’est après 21h, il n’y a presque plus rien à manger au buffet
