Hotel Kompas is a beautiful property right by the Lapad Bay beachfront and a very pretty promenade along the water. Even though our days were busy touring and visiting sites, our family looked forward to coming back and relaxing by the beach (it’s a pebble beach so need swim shoes), using the indoor pool and sauna. The hotel itself is very nice with a nice lobby that had the perfect view of the sunset. Our rooms were also nice except that both our 2 “deluxe double room, balcony, sea view” rooms (rms 1010 and 1011) had tall trees obstructing our sea view. Please see photos including how these rooms are described online. I did bring up with front desk and staff, as I was confused with the obstructed views but, yup, they did confirm I had “deluxe” rooms and that was that. Otherwise, very happy with hotel, amenities, included breakfast and staff friendliness. Btw, it’s not as near to Old Town as I thought, we were a family of 5 and Uber made sense, but we loved it anyway. There are several restaurant choices along the promenade, which is very pretty.

This hotel is amazing. Everything feels brand new and in an unbelievable location of Lapad. Tons of dining options and if you never want to leave the hotel that is no problem as it feels like a resort. Restaurant downstairs was great and the service here is incredible. 12/10, would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional location in the bay, nice indoor and outdoor pools, beautiful view of the bay, breathtaking sunsets, nice rooms and the staff is very polite. If you ask for something in your room, they deliver within 5 minutes. Breakfast are good with a lot of choices. The hotel is right on the promenade and a beach.

Great location, with beautiful views and easy walk to restaurants, shops and bus into old town. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, large rooms (and we particularly liked the daily chocolates). Excellent breakfast, hotel bars and restaurants also very good.

The staff at Kompas is great. The beds are really comfortable and the hotel is really clean. It's also in a great location. Especially wonderful is a waiter named David, who is from Macedonia. He made our stay incredible fun and woonderful.

Superb views of the beach. Last time I was in Dubrovnik, I stayed in a different hotel but moving forward, I will be staying at Hotel Kompas. Such great amenities, clean rooms, friendly staff, and very walkable to the restaurants and beaches.

L'hôtel propose de belles installations piscine extérieure et couverte, spa et sauna en complément d'un bar et d'un restaurant. Le petit déjeuner buffet est un peu redondant concernant la variété des produits quand vous restez plusieurs jours. Le quartier animé en soirée permet de se restaurer à deux pas. La vieille ville de Dubrovnik est accessible par le bus n°6 dont l'arrêt est situé à 500 mètres de l'hôtel. à recommander sans hésiter.

Used glasses put back dirty and no cleaning. Thumping music in the distance from the nearby beach bar doesn’t make for the most relaxing poolside experience. Not the fault of the hotel of course.

The Hotel Kompas exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed and felt fresh and new. Our balcony looked out over the sea, which was lovely to wake up to every morning. Lapad is a little outside of the Old City, which was very nice because it felt less hectic after doing a full day of tours around the walls and in the city center. The pool at the hotel was great and the breakfast every morning was delicious and full of great options! This was an excellent choice for our weekend trip to Dubrovnik.
The Hotel Kompas exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed and felt fresh and new. Our balcony looked out over the sea, which was lovely to wake up to every morning. Kompas Hotel is a modern and spacious hotel in Dubrovnik. The Old Own is around 15 minutes by bus. The hotel is well managed and the staff friendly and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful property from the moment you walk in. Everything is bright, airy and relaxing. Loved the location as well - an easy 15 minute taxi or Uber from Old Town but far from the throng of tourists. The hotel is also right by a promenade and a beautiful walkway along the coast of Lapad. Highly recommend overall.

Really nice, well-run hotel in pretty corner of the Lapad neighborhood of Dubrovnik. Great view from room. Enjoyed the pools, the lovely beach next door, and the great walking along the nearby cliffs.

This is a wonderful hotel tucked away from the busy areas of Dubrovnik. The entire staff was welcoming and accommodating with any questions that we had. If you are considering food options, the breakfast was good but we did opt to go off property for dinner as the buffet was not as good as for breakfast.

We enjoyed your stay at Kompas. They upgraded us to a beautiful suite, and we lived the high life for two days. It's very walkable, with plenty of restaurant and bars within walking distance, as well as the beach and the seaside promenade trail. The breakfast/dining area could benefit from a bit of a makeover to make a little more quaint and less cafeteria-style. Coffee in the morning is also a bit light, and not very hot. They could benefit from having those hightech self-serve espresso/cappuccino machines. Apart from this, we highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, view, modern, friendly staff, excellent amenities. I would definitely upgrade breakfast selection and offer at least still water for dinner. non alcoholic drinks shouldn’t be the same price as alcoholic ones. front desk staff should be be more friendly and give more details about charges. we weren’t offered any suggestions on restaurants or places to visit even though we mentioned it’s our first time visiting Dubrovnik.

Breakfast and dinner at your restaurant was superb and the evening live performers was awesome. Location with easy access to bus stop was great, lots of nice restaurants nearby and loved swimming in nearby Lapad Beach. We will recommend your hotel to everyone!!!

The overall experience was amazing, it is a really special hotel offering the best position In Lapad bay, with stunning views and easy access to everything. And the thing for us that really topped it was the private loungers a short distance along the sea front, although we were surprised that this is not really mentioned as one of the benefits, which we believe it very much is! Just a lovely place to stay and relax- thank you.

We stayed just one night at Hotel Kompass before joining a group tour at another location. Staff were very accommodating. Our room was clean and comfortable with great views over the Adriatic. Excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner and a wonderful walking path just outside of the hotel to explore the area.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Kostas. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and we would especially like to mention the breakfast restaurant team for their outstanding service. The room was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The promenade near the hotel is also highly recommended, both for swimming and enjoying cocktails.
