From the moment we arrived, the service was brilliant. Every staff member we met was genuinely delightful. My daughter absolutely loved the swimming pool, and I made the most of the hot tub. Our room was comfortable with a lovely view, and we really enjoyed our stay overall.

There were stains on the carpets. In bad need of being lifted. The rest of the facilities were good although, the pool area is swamped with members of the public and it’s difficult to get a space in the sauna, whirlpool etc. having to queue or be sitting on someone’s lap! Staff really friendly, bar area nice

The hotel room was very clean and a great size. The staff were very polite and helpful, they held onto our bags on our last day so we could do more site seeing. The food on the premises was amazing and a great price. The pool was great and am looking forward to returning to try the massages on offer. I really can't think of any improvements it was amazing. Thanks to all the staff.

Suppose to be an upgrade? The bed spread was stained. The bed looked like someone had just slept in it. The carpet was dirty. On a night time the fan kept going all night so noisy. I did complain to the receptionist and he did make a note. I've never had a problem with this hotel and this is the first time I've had to complain. Not impressed at all. Hope it picks up or myself and my work colleagues will be looking elsewhere

The hotel is super. It was very busy this trip but this didn’t detract really except at breakfast. The coffee machines were filthy and malfunctioning. And staff were dong all they could to sort it. The pool changing rooms maybe could have done with a bit of a more regular clean but they weren’t terrible. And this is expected when it’s so busy. Kids love it.

Had paid for late check out but was disturbed by maintenance not long after the usual checkout time and seemed to have no record or checked that I’d paid for late checkout at 2pm which was really disappointing. It felt like I just had to pack and couldn’t relax as on edge waiting to be disturbed again as could hear the team outside. It felt like the team were just waiting for me to leave. Hairs found in shower on arrival. Marks on carpet I was in room 229 in Dundee apex.

Steam room didnt seem to be working as no active steam, felt cold at points. Sauna and jacuzzi great temperature. Room was nice and oresentable but stains on carpets and curtains and a strong damp smell in the room - had to keep window open to help air the room

Good clean hotel and room. Good spot to walk into town or along lovely water front and close to the station. Staff were lovely. Main criticism was that it is directly East looking with large windows and the blackout curtains were not up to the job so we were woken by the light at 5am. The rooms at the other side apparently got very hot for a similar reason in the afternoon and there is no AC

Hotel rooms are huge and overall very nice, easy check in and parking is available for £5 for 24 hours. Only problem we had was we had ordered room service drinks which didn’t arrive, we had to go down to the bar when we were leaving to go out to be advised from bar staff our order had went missing.

Had to ask on several occasions in restaurant for items. Staff in restaurant all lovey but very slow, disinterested. We upgraded room and this was nice. Drink prices very expensive, we were in carnourstie 4 star golf hotel and spa for a few nights and paid £9 for a large Malbec which I thought was excellent for such a nice hotel, then bought a large Malbec in the Apex and it was £15.50, for a glass. I felt this was excessive. Very central hotel, good it has parking but unfortunately you are charged whilst staying in hotel at £7 per day.

The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a bath and separate shower. The room was tastefully decorated and spotless. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. The hotel reception, restaurant area and spa were all tastefully decorated and light. But the best part of our stay were the staff who were all extremely friendly, helpful and professional.

Had high hopes for our stay at Apex. However, poor communication and failure to manage guest experience meant that our relaxing stay turned into a stay that has resulted in a request for a partial refund. If booking with Dundee Apex I suggest checking what concerts are playing at the Slessor Gardens, Dundee Waterfront. Hotel doesn’t notify you of this when making a booking, nor do they mention it on arrival as a courtesy. The concert is extremely loud and goes on till nearer 11pm. So we had very little sleep as the crowds have to disperse too. Hotel also takes specialised group bookings which is great. However they don’t communicate with spa facilities to do block bookings to manage different guests. This created a very stressful situation and was extremely uncomfortable due to the spa facilities being small in size and specialised group requiring maximum space for getting about. Room had lots of gross stains on carpet as did corridor. Investment required and specialised cleaning equipment. Definitely won’t be back

The hotel is very well located, with the city centre and lots of attractions reachable on foot, but there is also a very convenient car park. The receptionists and waiting staff at the restaurant were excellent. We enjoyed a room with view over the wharf. The restaurant served good food at a reasonable price. The location is convenient for the train station, city centre and various restaurants and attractions. The room and the bathroom were clean and comfortable, apart from the lack of air conditioning (judging from the state of the curtains, the previous guests struggled with opening the windows). We enjoyed the unlimited access to the swimming pool and sauna. Breakfast was fine although some of the fruit, veg and fruit juice was off. Very friendly efficient staff.

Loved the location and rooms were lovely. Disappointed at breakfast that there was no vegan options. Even the vegetarian options were limited (no specific vegetarian options listed) and in fact out of stock on the day. My friend who is vegan felt awkward asking for some type of yogurt (there was none) to go with her breakfast. The waitress slags to go through the back for some plant based milk. She chose some items from the menu and was given one of each on a plate. Very basic thing to get right these days

Nice hotel, lovely bar restaurant area. Room was clean & very spacious, comfortable bed and pillows. Nice pool area with hot tub. Easy access to town. Only issue was breakfast, cold section was excellent plenty of fruit pastries, cheese, hams but we found the cooked breakfast to be of poor quality beans, bacon were tasteless.
