Great resort for families. Splash zone, pools and amenities for families are ideal. We had kids aged 7 & 3 who LOVED the water slides and pool. With a supermarket and bottle shop around the corner this is a super location and great place to stay. Highly recommended! It is no frills so suggest BYO pool towels.

We loved our apartment was a little disappointed that there was no elevator, also the pools are not accessible for people with disabilities as no ramp or easy access into the water. Very family friendly enviroment

It's location is perfect and parking includes meant we were a short drive to so many places. The property is tired but clean and staff are lovely. Would have rated higher if the pools were heated but the heater was under repair whilst we were there so it was cold but our daughter and lots of the kids still managed to enjoy!

Great spot. Unfortunately the road works at the moment hinder your convenience to the coffee shops etc. The pools (slides not included) are unmanned by staff, which I found a little odd.

Great family fun and relaxed vibe to the resort. Second time staying there. Especially after staying at other resorts before this place Turtle beach definitely needs an upgrade with its rooms. They are a bit run down, our toilet stopped working on multiple occasions, not the end of the world and it was fixed promptly but same problem again the next day. Gave up on trying to make the Dishwasher work again used the sink anyway , a few main channels on the tv didn’t work but worked in the bed room so not the end of the world either and it was great having a full kitchen however it was tough work cooking on the stove and pans with how long they took to heat up and cook anything half decent this was probably a main issue. Pool toilets also..there are only 1 in some pool areas and not the nicest, dont really see any kids using them anyway when swimming for hours, not sure any showers around even the gym has no shower or toilet facilities. The games room is a complete waist of time. Kids club looks great. The pools themselves are great fun and the water slides are awesome fun for 6-12 year olds. Cafe has great options and the pizza is high class. Drinks pretty pricey but there are plenty of options for food and drinks across the rd. Great place and location I just think after visiting multiple times and for the price they charge it’s due for some upgrades in room standards and around the resort toilets ect

The property is in a nice location, the property it self and the grounds were very well looked after and very well maintained like a tropical oasis. Our room, was clean for the most part however there was mould in the showers. As its a self-contained unit, we had to buy washing powder to wash towels and had to pay for any extra toilet paper etc. They have a washing machine and dryer in the room which was amazing and super helpful as we were there for a week. Other down side was there was only 1 ac unit in the whole 2bedroom unit. This was located in the main living area, therefore the bedrooms were very hot and stuffy but did have fans. There are no lifts at all, throughout the facility therefore we had to carry our bags up 3 flights of stairs and we were on the 1st floor. We have toddlers and as much as we wanted to be on the ground floor it was a blessing that we weren't as we had a balcony and the kids couldn't run off. A lot of the ground units, dont have any barriers to keep the kids in once you open your slidding door to your patio seating area.

Very disappointed in our stay. Very old and overpriced for what it is. The beds were very old and uncomfortable. The pull-out trundle kept collapsing underneath us, there were cockroaches scattering whenever the lights were turned on, floors dirty, bathroom mouldy. The grounds need revamping. We won’t be returning.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and were thoroughly unimpressed. The hotel is in dire need of renovation, with rundown rooms and poor maintenance. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. To top it off, we had cockroaches in our room! Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Clean and tidy rooms and common areas. Excellent facilities geared towards family with young kids. Staff were amazing. Only gotcha are the stairs so dont pack heavy and you'll be fine.

Excellent stay. Great for families and kids. The room was very clean and had great amenities. (Would’ve been great to have a coffee machine). Several pools and lots to do for the kids. Walking distance to the beach. The current light rail works was a bit annoying for getting in and out of the resort, but we didn’t hear any works from our room. Will be great once that is operating as it will be easy to get around Golf Coast.

Pressure on shower head was great! The not so great was, waking up every morning with huge cockroaches around the house, specifically in the kitchen areas and bathroom. Apart from that, kids had a great stay & enjoyed their vacation.

Plenty of activities for the kids throughout the day, buses and trams easily accessable to get to other areas/ theme parks. The rooms are self maintained, they come with a washing machine/dryer for your convenience. The metro is in close walking distance so you can buy the necessities for your stay.

The first thing to say is that we did enjoy our stay, and our kids had a great time. We had read the reviews and knew what to expect and paid around $220 a night for a two bedroom apartment. This is budget accommodation so that’s what you should expect. Room We stayed in a superior room and I wouldn’t stay in anything less here. It was very basic and dated, but still comfortable. Mostly clean (the couch needs a steam clean). The carpet was new in our apartment, as were the bench tops in the kitchen, and appliances had been upgraded. Stairs became tiresome with a pram, but we knew this before coming. We are a family of four with 2 kids under 6, and I would say this resort is probably more suited to families with older kids who would enjoy the amenities more. It is loud into the night as there are kids in the pool until late. Also fine by us. The splash zone doesn’t allow adults down the slides, which makes it hard with little ones. It is well manned and managed though with a life guard. The amount of pools was great, but they were just a little too cold (it’s late August we stayed though). My three year old didn’t tolerate the temperature of the water and even I was struggling. They are well maintained and clean. Restaurant and food is basic too but absolutely fine for snacks/ice cream. Woolworths, beach, shops and restaurants are all walking distance. When the tram line is finished this will be a great location to be. Staff are lovely, helpful, friendly.

Fantastic stay for kids. The rooms could use a refresh but most of the time was spent outside. The pool facilities and cafe are wonderful. Easy walking distance to woolies, chemist and the beach. Pac Fair a very short drive too. Only thing would be to request a ground floor room if you have little ones as the stairs become quite cumbersome.

I didn’t hate or love this place. There were so many good things - ie pools and slides etc. however the water was freezing in all pools so the spas were crowded. Apartment had a lot going for it, however slightly dated and no lifts. The wifi was the worst I have ever experienced with no connection ever. It seems those who frequent this place are dishonest - our daughter misplaced a hat which noone turned in. We then had a charge to our room for tennis which we did not play. We may return but only for the location once the light rail out the front is built.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property could do with some maintenance, for example the sides of the slide area needs a good clean down and the room was pretty dated. This said, our room was clean and tidy and everything was functional and comfy. The amenities for the kids were great, they loved the pools, mini golf etc. Staff were fantastic and always friendly. The resort had a great vibe and everyone seemed happy and relaxed.

Very child friendly, staff during day were very helpful and friendly. Apartment needed a bit of maintenance eg batteries in remotes and safe (didn't work) Only downside was our room key failed after a swim at the pool one evening. Man behind the counter wasn't concerned i had 3 youug children locked out at night which i made very clear and proceeded to check in other guests while i stood there dripping in my togs for 20 minutes

Fantastic resort for families with young or older children. The staff were top notch, we were able to check in a little bit early and were given a grocery bag with eggs, bread, milk and breakfast cereals for the following morning plus activity packs for the kids, free drinks vouchers and kids club vouchers. Such a bonus that we didn’t expect. We made use of the pool areas and splash zone. The kids loved the slides and could spend all day on them. The Deck Restaurant did the best pizzas and chips! We had a few meals there. Our room was beautiful with modern furnishings and a deck on the mid level, over looking the tennis court. There are plenty of BBQ areas and we used this for our dinner one night. Someone came around every morning to clean the BBQs and we saw the same with the pools. Very well maintained grounds. Pool was open until 9pm so we were pleased we could have late swims. Thanks Turtle Beach Resort for a fabulous holiday

Overall we had a great time. My husband cut his finger pretty bad on a broken tile in one of the pools. Borderline needed a hospital visit and stitches. Staff really could have handled the situation better. Concern could have been more and the tiles were not fixed. If a child cut their finger the way he did then could have been a lot worse for a tiny finger. Property was clean. Could have been more complimentary dishwasher powder and toilet paper. 2 rolls for a family of 4 for 7 nights isn’t going to cut it. Overall though great for the kids, will return.

Great hotel is you’re able bodied and neurotypical - otherwise you are not welcome. The hotel is not accessible at all and rather than trying to accommodate you, advises you stay elsewhere. Fortunately we are able bodied, our son however has severe autism and was not allowed to use the facilities with a carer. Its 2024 this behaviour is not acceptable. The hotel itself also resembles their old timely attitude towards disability - the in room WiFi is unusable so make sure you have plenty of data. The hotel looks like it hasn’t been renovated for 30+ years. So if you like traveling back in time to a world where discrimination was acceptable - this is the place for you!

We stayed at Turtle Beach Resort from the 3rd September - 12th September. The rooms were very outdated and not clean, lots of bugs and cockroaches. Staff were friendly at the actual resort but the booking management team are terrible - absolute mess around and charged us for leaving towels in the bathroom (the towels the hotel provided) and for overfilling the bin. It’s a bit of a pain to get into surfers paradise as you need to get the bus then the tram - they are extending the tram line and say it will be done by 2026 but still, for now it’s a bit tricky. Plenty of pools. There are also only stairs up the apartments so limited access for disabilities and those with prams. Getting between each side of the resort would be hard too for disabled as little ramp access. Disappointed as it is so expensive!

I wouldn’t recommend staying here again. The photos used on booking sites and the resorts own website are misleading and false. Descriptions such as “refurbished/renovated” were used however the apartments we experienced & viewed were in original condition. No air conditioning in the bedrooms. A severe lack of natural light meant that the curtains were covered in mould and bathrooms showed signs of black mould. Beds were old and less than comfortable. Bedding was basic and no doonas were provided, just starched white sheets with old, stained blankets. Kitchen utensils were less than adequate, no tongs for bbq, no vegetable peeler or potato masher, broken cutlery, one very small frypan which broke - handle fell off. Toiletries were basic and almost unusable. Staff weren’t helpful. Don’t bother putting requests in or even booking months in advance as requests aren’t taken into consideration until 24hrs before arrival, at which point they probably won’t be able to accomodate. Lucky my special needs child wasn’t wheelchair confined and able to use stairs as we requested a ground floor apartment but were met with - you have to call the resort and book directly over the phone with an additional cost to guarantee a ground floor apartment. Apparently 7 months of holding our funds wasn’t good enough.

My family and I stayed there for 8 days and we had a good time. The apartment is spacious for a family of 3, and has laundry room which it was a + for me. My son enjoyed all the pools and kids area. My husband loved the gym and used it every day. The location is good, but during our stay there was a lot of construction on the road for the tram extension. When we requested a service, they were not very efficient and sometimes we had to request for 3 times the same thing. I wish their restaurant had a better menu selection. Overall, we had a great experience.

Had an awesome stay, check in was a breeze and the women at the counter was very smiley, warm & welcoming. Disliked the stairwell on arrival especially when you have kids and all the extra belongings you have to bring for them dragging those up the staircase was a nightmare. Our superior two bedroom apartment was very spacious tidy, clean and had everything we needed. Loved the different swimming areas kids had a blast at splash zone and all the free activities and movies how amazing it is for children. We’d definitely be back in the future. Thank you again for having us :)

Room was really clean and comfortable with plenty of space. A number of pool areas to choose from. Bbq areas all through the resort. Woolworths walking distance. Beach a short distance across the rd was very nice and beautiful views of the high rises.

You are greeted by the staff as a great day in Turtle Beach resort and indeed it would be. You have everything in the resort from restaurant, bbq, few options for pools, water park, a little shop in the front, and more. It is conveniently located to a supermarket (woolworths) and a few restaurants that are all a walking distance and of course the beach that was just across the road. The Pacific Fair Mall was also just a 2km walk. Parking was under ground which was very much needed with that hot sun. Definitely recommend turtle beach resort. Our family of 4 stayed at a 2 bedroom apartment and it felt like a home away from home with full kitchen and laundry right in the apartment with washer & dryer. We would definitely come back here next time we are in Australia😊

Excellent stay. Great for families and kids. The room was very clean and had great amenities. (Would’ve been great to have a coffee machine). Several pools and lots to do for the kids. Walking distance to the beach. The current light rail works was a bit annoying for getting in and out of the resort, but we didn’t hear any works from our room. Will be great once that is operating as it will be easy to get around Golf Coast.

It's location is perfect and parking includes meant we were a short drive to so many places. The property is tired but clean and staff are lovely. Would have rated higher if the pools were heated but the heater was under repair whilst we were there so it was cold but our daughter and lots of the kids still managed to enjoy!

We enjoyed the pools, splash zone and BBQ facilties. The 2 bedroom apartment we had was huge and had 2 bathrooms which we appreciated. You need to know they are unserviced so you dont get fresh towels or anything. Your expected to sort all that yourself and wash and dry your own towels. There was horrendous road works right outside our room which literally went all night long and kept us awake which put a dampner on our stay. The staff didnt seem to care about it. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful and some were not. We stayed in June and there was only 1 pool that is heated apart from the spas. Good location if you have a car for getting to theme parks etc. Essy walk to the beach. 5 min walk to a supermarket, cafe, pharmacy, butcher. Overall we enjoyed Turtle Beach and would reccomend to others.

Very happy with the apartment I got. Generally looks quite nice, has locked parking, on-site restaurant was pretty ordinary but not bad. It's definitely more intended for families with children given the amenities present (lots of pools w/ slides), but even when I went with my partner I enjoyed it.

The room was great, well equipped and family friendly. It included all the little extra things to make it really comfortable for families. Example, washer and dryer in the room, clothes horse, vacuum, dvd player, well equipped kitchen including, dishwasher, microwave, oven/stove, plastic plates and cups for little kids. Woolies metro is not far to stock up on supplies, walking distance. Nice view of the pool area with lot of beautiful tropical trees and landscaping. Kids loved the pool and splash pad, although water in Splash Pad was a lot colder, something to be mindful of with time of year you stay. Negative is that the resort has a lot of stairs, including getting up to your room. This is something to be mindful of when packing and navigating around the resort with a stroller. Getting all the luggage our family had, including a large heavy suitcase up a number of stairs wasn’t much fun for my husband when we first arrived. Room had a washer and dryer, so if I was to stay again, I wouldn’t need to pack as much. The food at The Deck was a bit hit and miss. The wood fire pizza was nice, although other food we had ordered wasn’t that great and also considering the price. The playground for little ones probably needs some improving as kids were not interested and the games room didn’t really have much at all. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves there.

Room had a washer and dryer, so if I was to stay again, I wouldn’t need to pack as much. The food at The Deck was a bit hit and miss. The wood fire pizza was nice, although other food we had ordered wasn’t that great and also considering the price. The playground for little ones probably needs some improving as kids were not interested and the games room didn’t really have much at all. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves there.

We loved our stay at Turtle Beach Resort. Our room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view overlooking the pool area and The Deck. The food and coffee from The Deck was delicious and served quickly. Although we went out most days, we could have quite easily never left the resort and still had an amazing holiday. We will be back

Hi would be nice if staff greet you with a smile. The young lady who looked after my check in accommodated my request to move from a room booked 3 flight of stairs to one that was only one flight. 2nd the nights were cold, more blankets were needed, but housekeeping weren't picking up the phone. Air con system wasn't functioning right, as I had tried to use the heat button. Lastly, I understand it's a family friendly resort but I couldn't sleep the first night there, with people staying above us running back n forth loudly?!. Definitely not sound proof. The stay was ok but not something I would book again.
