We took a suite for 4 with harbour view and we got lucky to get the highest floor so it was an exceptional room with the best view possible on the HK skyline. The gym and the pool are nice, the breakfast room also enjoyable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I regret the absence of water bottle in the room and the policy of make the room every 3 days to save money.

Wonderful hotel in Kowloon close to ferries and the bus terminal. Subway access is also beside the hotel. Rooms are spacious, very clean and well appointed. Guest laundry was a bonus as was the small gym and 25 m pool. Breakfast buffet was great value. All in all this a great value for money operation.

The staff were exceptionally attentive. I was amazed and delighted to be upgraded from a harbour view room to a harbour view suite! The view was spectacular. This hotel is great value for money. The amenities are amazing: pool, gym, squash courts and a climbing wall! The location could not be better. Literally right next to the MTR and a block from the Star Ferry terminal.

I enjoyed the indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Dining in the Haven restaurant gave a variety of flavours to try. Location is close to Victoria Harbour. Easy access to waterfront.

Fabulous location and very attentive staff. Good lap pool. We didn't use the restaurant as there are so many restaurants very near (so can't comment about food). Rooms serviced every 3 days which didn't bother us at all (probably a great idea so staff can concentrate on rooms that are vacated.

Perfectly situated in the midst of TST near the MTR, great room and amenities (excellent pool + fitness room), and a decent on-site restaurant. This is my go-to when visiting HK for its location, great eats and shopping, and quick access to the MTR to the rest of the city. All this makes for great value for the very reasonable cost.

Across the street from MRT which is important in HK, especially when we experienced heavy rain a few times. For the area, value was excellent. Many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Victoria Harbor was nearby. The gym and pool is actually run by the YMCA so you do have to get a guest pass from their front desk to use the facility. The hotel tells you upon check-in they only clean the rooms every third day unless you specifically ask for something different. The people working at the entrance half the time does not open the door for guest even though they were just standing talking (that is not a deal breaker but just something we noticed). We will definitely consider staying here again for our next trip.

We have been staying in YMCA continually last few years during our visit. Overall the hotel is good except the house keeping is not daily only by request, only empty garbage and the towels are not filled up as well. Like we continue to staying for 4 night and only changed bedding once. I don’t accept they do daily but at least every 2 days specially in summer.

The location is really good. The building is the old, and the shower was a bit moldy (we saw a tiny cockroach). They only clean every 3 days. The room size is good but the hotel needs a complete overhaul to modernize it all.

La chambre était petite, un peu vieillote. Le ménage n'était fait que tous les 3 jours sous pretexte d'écologie. Vu que nous ne sommes restés que 2 nuits, notre chambre n'a jamais été nettoyée. L'hotel n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles et nécessiterait une bonne rénovation.

The Salisbury never disappoints in terms of location or the quality of service. I commend the hotel's quest for a sustainable planet, however making up the room daily rather than every 3 days doesn't need to involve changing sheets or towels, but a freshly made bed or tidy bathroom can make a trip.

I had read mixed reviews, including around the frequency of the room cleaning (every 3 days) bins are emptied daily, but my experience was good. For my part I’m quite happy to recycle my own towels for a couple of days as I would at home and pull up my own bed. It’s close to Star Ferry which was great.

We paid for a room for 3 adults and the extra bed was a camp bed ie not fit for purpose. For the cost of the room I would expect all beds to be of the same quality. I would have preferred a kettle in the room . We had a device that heated the water up but we frequently needed repeat attempts at making a drink as the water wasn’t hot enough . I think it’s a bit of a cop out to say the room won’t be cleaned more than every 3 days as part of some eco policy . Part of the pleasure of staying in a hotel is being a little bit pampered with my bed being made . I don’t necessarily want clean sheets / towels every day. Poor WiFi. Fabulous view of harbour. Fabulous breakfast. Very helpful concierge.

The room was clean and ‘fresh’… as booked a harbour view room, I was not disappointed - a great view of the 8pm light show on the island waterfront. Check in was efficient. Room was Family Suite, and very spatious for 3 people. 2 in bedroom and 1 using pull out in living area. Rooms were clean and on 16th floor had great view. Staff was very helpfull, especially as we peft a few items after check out. Phone response quick with confirmation of items still there. They skso yad them ready when picked up. Eould highly recommend

Room was very dated, carpets covered in stains, fold out couch wasn’t comfortable for sleep, bedding was ok. We had the king suite but low level, nice view nonetheless. Amenities basically non existent considering the price of the room. Size of the suite was very big by HK standards.

I appreciated that there are several helpful, very knowledgeable and friendly staff at front desk and concierge to accurately answer my various questions (e.g., closest and best places to change money, how to catch the airport shuttle, etc). Love the location. Very comfortable staying at the YMCA Hotel in Kowloon. Special thank you to Jacky for the Partial Harbour View corner suite on the 13th floor - husband and I loved the views there.

I had an issue with checking in because my booking was named under my married surname, my passport name is my maiden surname , BUT I have a valid residence ID with my married surname that matches my booking , but this check in lady insisted I need to change my booking’s name because it does not match my passport, but i was already showing her my other residence ID with the name that matches but she would not accept!!!! She insisted that the booking should match the passport???!!! First of all you are not the immigration , how can i not check in with my other valid ID??? The booking must match the name with my ID, when is a residence ID not an ID if I may ask??? why would she insist that it should match my passport??? even the credit card that I use with the booking is same with my residence ID for God’s sake

Excellent stay at this hotel . Very reasonably priced by Hong Kong standards , perfect location with great access to MTR , Kowloon , and Central Hong Kong island (via Star ferry, 2 minutes walk away ) Rooms to a good standard , comfy bed , toiletries , fluffy towels ( great after a long haul flight ) All staff efficient and helpful . I would highly recommend and will definitely use again when I return

We stay here every year. Why? Proximity. Easy access to public transportation, easy access to shopping, easy access to Indian breakfast at Chun King Mansions, easy access to the light show on the harbor, and easy access to people that can solve problems - the YMCA staff. This hotel bats way above class - it may be the best YMCA in the world - and it certainly competes in commitment to service to other hotels in TST.

You guys must improve on your check in counters, don’t act as if you are the immigration officers ok? since when must we check in using passports only??? why are other valid IDs not acceptable during check in?? since when is that a rule??? 오래 전부터 묵고 싶었던 호텔인데 가격이 넘 많이 인상되어 고민하다가 하루 묵은 호텔입니다. 홍콩섬에서 있다가 넘어 와서 체크인을 하는데 보증금을 500HKD를 받아서 너무 놀랬습니다. 아무것도 건드린 것도 없고 파손된 것도 없어서 다시 돌려받긴 했지만 기분이 좋진 않았습니다. 호텔의 위치는 좋은데 의외로 시끄럽습니다. 여기도 하버뷰 트윈룸을 선택했는데 바깥에서 차들 지나다니는 소리가 16층인데 크게 많이 들렸습니다. 복도에서 지나다니는 사람들의 소리도 들렸습니다. 욕실에 욕조는 있지만 욕실이 전체적으로 깔끔하진 않았습니다. 삐걱거리는 문소리와 욕실 구석구석 찌든 세월의 흔적이 조금씩 있었습니다. 그래도 열심히 청소한 흔적은 보였습니다. 하버뷰지만 앞에 건물이 크게 있어서 뻥 뚫린 느낌은 아닙니다. 스타의 거리에 사람들이 지나다니는 모습이 일부 보이기는 합니다. 체크아웃하고 보증금 찾고 짐보관하고 다른 곳을 돌아다니다가 들어와 호텔 커피숍에서 핫아메리카노를 시켰는데 아이스로 가져와서 얘기했더니 너무 미안해하며 바꿔서 갖다 줬습니다. 한국말을 하는 직원이 있어서 깜짝 놀랐습니다. 짐을 찾아 택시를 부탁했더니 너무도 친절하게 트렁크도 챙겨 주셔서 팁을 주니 극구 사양했습니다. 기억에 오래 남을 거 같습니다. 가격이 저렴해지면 모를까 다시 투숙할지는 고민해 보겠습니다.

Location Location Location. The harbour views were amazing. According to their government rules, no amenities were provided. If you needed a toothbrush or tooth paste you have to pay a small fee of HKD 5. Also no daily housekeeping....only after 3 nights will they clean your room. You can ask for fresh towels and garbage bins to be cleaned everyday. Good service and the buffet breakfast was excellent value for money.

Fantastic location with a short walk to the Star Ferry and the waterfront. Loads of places to eat nearby, even found an Irish bar serving the best sunday roast (Delaney's)round the corner!!. Staff were very attentive. Fantastic room, clean everything you need with the beat view of Victoria Harbour. Cafe/restaurant was very convenient, food was brilliant and very reasonable cost, even doscounted as a guest. Perfect all round, will definitely stay again if we visit Hong Kong. Thanks The Salisbury team.

This property is an amazing find! We got a room with a harbor view. It was spacious and clean. There are several dining options. Breakfast on the 4th floor was a good value, also with a good view. It is in a lively area with many shops, restaurants and public transport nearby.
