Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls

The majority of this property is not a 4-star hotel. The upper floors which are newer I’m sure are nicer, but anything below 20th floor needs renovating and a serious deep clean. Stains all over the floors in room and hallways. The lobby is nice which is misleading. The parking fee is outrageous and parking lot is incredibly small for the size of the hotel. Overflow parking is across a four lane road and a country mile from the front of the hotel. You will wait minimum 10-15 minutes for an elevator in the morning. Gym is in a smelly sub basement area. Even access to the falls is inconvenient, there is no quick way down, though the view is great. Bottom line of you do not have a view of the falls do not stay here. I would recommend the Embassy Suites or the Sheraton. Possibly even the Marriott across the street would be a better option. Very disappointed in this property.

Overall great hotel to have a room viewing the falls but expensive. Dinner in the restaurant was very good for the 3 nights we ate. Breakfast average. Main issue was paying $55 can for parking as a hotel guest.

The swimming pool was smelly and bad.

WiFi is not good, I had a lot of problems with that.

The property was well located next to everything. The room was spacious with a gorgeous view of the falls. The only complaint I have was at the elevators were extremely slow, often times having to wait at least 5 minutes for one to show up.

Well located with amazing views of both falls. Breakfast at a good standard with buffet and omelet station. It has its years although kept clean and when I needed a fix in the bathroom the repair guy arrived in 5 minutes with a brand new part and took care of it. Has swimming pool and gym. Parking is extra and at 50 dollars without tax is hefty price.

Excellent location with nice views of the waterfall (if you get the specific rooms) - clean, efficient, nice room overall, basically what you would expect out of a Marriott. Only complaint in general is about the fact that the hotel is rather older and outside the windows you got massive spider webs as you want to admire the falls... also parking on site is expensive $45 per night (they do disclose it but it is ridiculous - I guess you pay for Niagara) and the Milestones in the hotel was terrible (horrible service and medium quality food overall). Still an enjoyable stay with fantastic service and comfortable room.

Our room had a beautiful view of the falls. It was very spacious. We had an excellent waiter for breakfast. He was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the falls area; very easy walk. The Starbucks in the lobby was very convenient. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub.

So when we arrived to our room the bathroom was dirty, food left in the fridge , a dirty sock left on the couch and pills and dirt under the bed, very inconvenient having to switch rooms , our new room was a little better except the bathroom was not clean also. Our dining at milestones was excellent and our waitress was amazing. Will never return to this hotel.

We got no housekeeping during our stay. Our room was really stained, curtains and carpet bed was old and very lumpy. Our toilet handle was broken off The hallways looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Dirty dishes were in the hall our whole stay

Review for Marriott Hotel, Niagara Falls We stayed as a family of five (three adults, two children) and were disappointed with our experience. At booking we clearly noted five guests, but upon check-in we were only given two queen beds and told we had to pay an additional $50 per night for an extra bed. They brought in a movable bed, which made the room very crowded. I was expecting a sofa bed as shown in many hotel listings. The pool area was extremely dirty — hair all around the pool, the hot tub was cloudy and smelly, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. The window outside our room was covered with insects. Housekeeping was minimal; they only made the beds but never vacuumed, changed cups, or properly refreshed the room. For five people, they left only two paper cups daily and never replaced the dirty glasses. Overall, for a four-night stay, the service, cleanliness, and value were very poor. This was not the level of quality I expected from a Marriott property.

Comfortable bed. Huge shower space. Great room size. Cold mini fridge!! Plenty of toiletries and clean towels! Ice and soda machine on same floor. Good view of the Falls. Windows do get misted and cloudy but it’s expected considering how close the Falls are. Staff were friendly and helpful. You do have to pay separately for parking which should be mentioned as a separate fee before booking and NOT at the time of check-in. I would’ve given 5 stars but there were a few things a miss…. Wish the room was set up differently so you can see the falls at all times and not have to keep walking over to the window to see it (bed and seating on opposite side of the room). No microwave in rooms and community microwave in lobby did not work. Luckily an employee was happy enough to heat up our snacks in their microwave for us. The floor we were on (24th) has a ledge outside the window full of pigeons (which they were fun to watch) but was also full of their fecal matter. The rug could use a good cleaning or better yet, replacement. Fall activities within a good walking distance or by complimentary “WeGo” buses. Lots to do in the area as well.

The A/C unit was very loud and kicked in every 10 minutes or so. It was almost impossible to fall asleep.

Bar was nice. I had falls view but the room on the 24th floor had an obstruction (23rd floor roof) it ruined my pictures.

The room was really clean, but the toilet sliding door was ridiculous and did not close properly, offering no privacy. While in the room, you could clearly hear people talking in the next room, which made the stay very uncomfortable.

Super friendly staff, daily maid service without asking and absolutely gorgeous view of the falls helped to make our anniversary the most memorable yet!

My biggest complaint was the staff. Absolutely no knowledge of customer service. I had 3 situations of this type. One was to obtain a plastic water bottle for my kid w/a disability. They referred me to their Starbucks who sold huge cartons of water or their lobby dispenser, neither that I could bring while touring. Later, I saw the reception area giving away water bottle to guest checking in. I am a Marriot rewards member. They did not offer an area map, nor tell us where to self park. In our room I could see mold on the top most edge of the sink under the counter overhang. When we went out for the day the door stayed open b/c the manual locking mechanism did not fold in when the door shut. When we returned from a full day in the parks, our room was open, luckily we had our valuables in the safe. Upon return and trying to close the room door, the handle remained locked/open and the manual lock knob didn't work. I had to call maintenance to close the door to sleep. After messing with it for 15 minutes, maintenance arrived just as I fixed it myself. The second issue was that I lost a religious medallion somewhere between the hotel room and the lobby and when I went to tell the "Elite" check-in staff about it she looked at me blankly like "what do you want me to do about it?" & went into luggage check to look for it. She had no clue what to do. I reserved with one card & presented another for charging, they did a credit hold on 2 cards. I am waiting to see if they charged me 2x.

The front desk staff were neither friendly nor polite.

Having teenage boys running up and down the hallway, having loud conversations right in front of my door up to 1:00am from 11:30 pm when I got into my room contacted front desk 2x and no security came up as they said they would because the kids kept banging on doors, running and laughing hysterically and after the two phone call complaints not once did management contact me or attempt to contact me to take responsibility for not removing these kids from the floor or contact the parents to take responsibility of their minor children! The next day the exact same thing happened. The hotel makes you sign a form if you’re a part of a hockey team/tournament about rowdy noises, inappropriate behavior but when I called twice there was no action on the part of the hotel! I paid almost $700 for the weekend and could not get decent sleep as my agitation from the rowdy behaviour made it difficult to get any sound sleep or fall asleep and then to have to wake up to it again at 7am was frustrating again. The fact that parking is $50 plus tax a day and yet struggling to find parking in the freezing cold and having to go to the second parking lot across the street late at night was not convenient either Also the fact that Starbucks did not take cash and only card was frustrating as cash is still a monetary denomination and legal tender the fact Starbucks made it only digital is BS!! All in all not a good experience or stay!

The staff at the front desk were rude. When I checked in I noticed the gentleman at the desk was being very welcoming and to other guest l, I was honestly excited because prior to going into the hotel a gentleman started yelling to my family and I to go back home and was startled at that but when I was attended the gentleman was very dry and short with us, not welcoming with us, he acted bothered by my presence. The next day when I went to check out, same thing I accidentally gave the lady at the front desk my wrong room number when checking out, when I realized I went back and apologized and gave her the correct one and she was so upset. She was rude and made me feel like an idiot and I told her she didn’t have to be rude and talk to me in that manner that it was an honest mistake. I couldn't tell if I was treated like that because I was an American or because I was Hispanic.

The property is fantastic as is the view of the Falls. This is either a good or bad thing, depending on what you want/need, but the property is at the end/outskirts of the tourist area. As a result you have to drive to get into the midst of things (i.e. shops, attractions, etc.). However, you can get everything you need here: great restaurant and bar, Starbuck's, fitness center and it is TOP NOTCH.

I had such a nice stay here. Its convenient to everything. It was nice to be able yo park on the property. And the views...you cannot beat the views.

Comfortable beds and nice view of the falls. Lots of restaurants within walking distance (especially liked Turtles) and the WeGo bus stop was very close.

Hotel was nice - clean. Great location.

Overall, we liked this hotel. I gave it four stars overall because the elevators are so slow. This hotel has 30+ floors with four elevators that seem to take a very long time. We also opted for the breakfast it is was ok, not great. The hotel is directly across from the horseshoe falls. It is at the opposite end of all of the tourist stuff. Overall, we liked staying at the more quiet end of the strip.

The hotel is nice. It is at the farthest end of the town so lots of walking. We did not upgrade to a falls view and the room we were given had a horrible view of the roof. That was the only downfall. But the view from the front of the hotel was beautiful.

Valet/ bellmen were terrific. Nice guys go the extra mile. Front desk very pleasant and knowledgeable. Milestones restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. Im not big on hotel restaurants but this one was excellent. Room overlooking the falls. Spectacular

The entire experience was amazing. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food at Milestone was delicious. The room was clean and well prepared and we had an amazing view of the fall. Location was great was in walking distance of a lot of things even though we drove. Great amenities we will be back in the summer.

Staffs are ok, allowing us slightly early check-in which we appreciated. But the breakfast (we separately paid for it) is not attractive, better try outside restaurant.
