AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

At NH Atlanta Rotterdam Hotel, travellers consistently praise the very central location and often spacious rooms, but note the building’s age, thin or single-glazed windows that allow street noise, and a lack of air conditioning in many rooms.

Stayed 2 nights

Stayed here for 2 weeks for a sports tournament. The first room I stayed in was large, spacious, and a decent bathroom with a tub. I wasn't told that I'd have to change rooms mid-stay so they could work on the smoke alarm. The second room was half the size, no window to open, at all, had air conditioning that needed fixing as it whistled the entire time it was on. I enquired about a meeting room to use for 30 minutes, with a screen that we could hook a laptop into for our team talks pre-game. I got a response with a $250 (Euro) daily charge for this (bearing in mind, we had over 100 people booked in to stay here and they couldn't even chuck this in for free). We were told to order breakfast boxes to pick up from reception one morning where we had an early departure to our game. We did that, wrote down the room numbers and was told to pick up the 20 boxes at 6:30am. We go down that morning to collect them, they haven't been made, nor did they have record of them anywhere, even though they had 24 hours notice. We couldn't even go to the breakfast bar and grab a few things just prior to 7am when it opened (our pickup was 7:15am) The only really good thing about this hotel was the location. Some of the reception staff were helpful, most were not. I don't know if this is a Dutch thing, but customer service was next to non-existent.

I respect the building was historic and that the decoration will be a bit old. However the WiFi connection was bad and I can only connect in the lobby. The hotel staff are also not enthusiastic in attending to guests’ requests. A lot of times you have to remind them for a couple of times before they will respond.

Plenty of choice but several times had to ask Staff to fill up empty dishes. Room was very clean but t.v. in room was only able to receive a couple of channels as the others were “scrambled” was reported but nothing changed. All Staff were friendly. Would have been nice to have some milk in the fridge and one day there was no teabags left in room after cleaning!
