Only sad part was the hot tub was closed and no one told us. Love that the top floor has a communal kitchen it was nice to cook a meal instead of take out all the time.

Our room was a little run down, chips in the bath tub, and a rain shower that was connected to the wall instead of overhead with low shower pressure. We noticed the windows leaked when it rained. Parking was expensive

The hotel room was somewhat run down looking and not as clean as we would have expected for a downtown hotel. The staff were pleasant and the location is quite ideal with many amenities within walking distance and a city train station close by. Unfortunately, the hot tub was closed during our stay but we used the sauna once- we found it to be quite old and you could no longer read the numbers on the controls which seems like a hazard. Overall the location was super but we wouldn't necessarily choose this property again.

Great place to stay in! Conveniently located in Downtown Vancouver within walking distance of many attractions and near public transportation. The front desk associates were friendly (three females, one male), additional amenities in property such as a gym, community kitchen, rooftop area with views of sowntown Vancouver, and a dry sauna.

Overall for the price, very good. We would consider staying again! We were travelling with our 6 month old baby. There are cribs provided on a FCFS basis. The frustrating part of that was that they literally couldn’t tell me if there was a crib available until we received the room key (we arrived early to the hotel and they couldn’t tell us the morning of our stay either). We did end up getting a crib, and it was great! Room was mostly clean. We washed a part of the floor so baby could explore, and the wash cloth came back quite dirty, but surfaces were clean. Staff was very friendly, though a bit unorganized. We requested a late check out the night before we left, they said we could check out at noon, yet three different people came to our room or phoned us at 11 wondering why we hadn’t checked out yet. On one of the nights, we got a phone call at 930pm wondering if we ordered uber eats? Wasn’t our order, not sure what happened there. Our baby was sleeping so I would have been pissed if the call woke the baby up. Again, disorganized. Street noise is loud (normal part of staying downtown), so just be warned if you’re a light sleeper - bring earplugs! Super close walk to ferries for granville island! And vancouver is very walkable so we were able to walk to the aquarium and stanley park (although it’s a 40 minute walk one way, so not for every family) There’s also a really nice rooftop lounge that we took full advantage of, and luggage storage!!

Great location, with good size rooms well designed. However, rooms do have issues. Outlets on desks, lamps and others around the room were not working from overuse. Exhaust fans that would not turn off was a issue for the 2 rooms we had. Staff was excellent and helpful, but during our 3 day stay no one came to fix the exhaust fans although I complained on the first day. In high price Vancouver this is good priced hotel.

Keurig coffee, tee, tea, microwave and fridge is a good idea on the room, but ligths on those are unconfortable. The worse was the air conditioner, make to much noise and imposible to control. Internet and location excelent.

A really great place in a nice location. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The only complaints are that the pillows are terrible and the rooms are extremely humid but the dehumidifier is very loud and grating so we could only use it when we were out of the room.

The room was boiling hot yet it was not possible to open a window. A loud fan was working constantly in the bathroom. The blinds did not cover all the windows so the room was very bright. Overall I slept poorly and this affected the rest of my trip onward.

Nice place to stay. Clean and comfortable and big sized room. The bathrooms fans are constantly on and are super loud which made it hard to sleep. Would be good if they able to be turned off or if the room could automatically detect when it needed to be on/off. Otherwise a good hotel

TV did not work. When I called the front desk to inquire about someone helping, no one ever came before we had to leave for a meeting (waited 4 hours). They had a single cup Keurig and a kettle, but the kettle was missing its plug in, so had to use Keurig to boil water. All the electrical outlets were loose which made it hard to charge our phones. Because of the outlet issue, I bought a power bank from the front desk which also did not work. Front desk staff were nice. Hotel is across the street from a 711 which was convenient for drinks and snacks.

I am very disappointed with this hotel. It was very well rated on your site and I was confident by the reviews you posted that it would be a great hotel. The first night, our toilet broke, would not flush. The hotel staff told us there was nothing they could do, no maintenance at that time. When explained to them that it was unacceptable they offered us to use the public toilet in the group room on the PH, we were on the 3 rd floor. That was not acceptable as I was not going to allow my daughter to go upstairs by herself during the night to go to the washroom. I was then told that it was working when we arrived so it was my fault it was broken! Not once did the staff say they were sorry for the inconvenience. Finally they gave us a key to a room on the same floor to use the washroom. The toilet was only fixed at 5 pm the day after! I asked to speak to the manager, he was not available. I left him 2 messages over 2 days which he never replied back to me. The second day the TV and blow dryer did not work. The room was not cleaned for 3 days till I finally tracked down the manager. He said he would waive the parking fee for us but only if I did not leave a bad review! I had no flushable toilet for 18 hours! Finally on our last night, they cleaned the room and gave us new towels and emptied the garbage. Also both lamp shades in the room were ripped, hallways were dirty and smelt terrible. I would like some feedback from Expedia on this matter.

Great, great staff that was super nice and friendly and helpful. A little older building with a slow elevator, but you can't beat the location. Really safe, .4 miles to the sky train. Really great hotel.

The front desk attendant who is paid to serve guests told me to leave or he will call the police and that he is cancelling my booking. My booking was prepaid. There was no one in sight who could be a witness. I was denied service. Never has any accommodation anywhere in the world denied me service or threatened to call the police on me. He also repeatedly kept saying my credit card numbers out loud even after I repeatedly asked him to stop. The Manager who I spoke to in the morning did not provide an appropriate or reasonable remedy. He asked if I will return to stay there.

Nice place to stay, right on Granville st and close to Granville island. It is about a 20min walk to Rogers arena/BC place. Dated rooms, but very clean. Parking on site was nice to have, but a bit pricey. Lots of food options close by and a 711 across the street. The area of Granville it is in has a lot of transient people, which is no fault of the hotel.

This is a clean, affordable hotel in downtown Vancouver just a few blocks from the Granville Island and the Sea Wall. The staff was friendly and it has a White Spot family restaurant in the lobby. We found it to be a perfect retreat for our week-long stay. Two drawbacks: (1) The elevator was slow which affected those on the highest floors and (2) the hotel is located at the sketchy end of Granville Street, so you are like to encounter the odd homeless person. They're harmless, but this may make some feel unsafe. I'd highly recommend this property for those on a budget and we plan to stay there again.

I had the most unfortunate experience in the restaurant where i saw 3 ratd run across the dining room floor. The hotel manager comped my parking fee, but my last night a heard one in my room. I've stayed there 4 times now, but this was a first. I don't know that I'll be back

The city location was very convenient. Lots of restaurants and bars for entertainment surrounding the property. The restaurant attached to the lobby called “The White Spot” was great! The food was delicious and the prices were very good. They have a late night happy hour beginning at 8:00pm. We really enjoyed the convenience of the location and amenities. The staff were so polite and helpful. Besides being a little “worn”, the hotel was clean and a decent place to stay.

Good value for the money. Rooms were nice. Restaurant was convenient with good food at reasonable prices. Little frustrated with ice machines not working although staff provided ice at the front desk in request. Also, the hot tub was out of service which was something we were looking forward to after a long day of activities. Overall a good stay and would come again.

The restaurant was very dirty. We watched a mouse run in from the open patio door. Ceiling tiles covered in black mould and pealing from roof. Staff had no idea what was on the menu.
