Staff was amazing. The Resturants were good. 4 dinner options required reservations, two did not. Food had same taste in all eating options.. We stayed two weeks and decided to have dinner off resort the secomd week. It is not cheap... Room sercice was as good or better than some dining options. All ocean views are from the side unlwss you habe an ocen front room... gotta pay attention to that. The ROYAL LEVEL has one resturant and one bar in addition to " regular" inclusive options. Ralph on the beach was attentive, Jamie amd his crew in the royal leval resturant were great. The casino lobby bar was ok..drinks were inconcistant but bottomless.. We had a couple great servers there as well...

Clean resort with great access to beach. We opted for the Royal experience which gave us access to a few nice amenities. Hotel is close to many restaurants and shops which is nice. Food in the main restaurant was just ok, what you would expect from a buffet. Nice pool and swim up bar.

No coffee shop on property, just machines...recommend to walk down the path to dunkin donuts. Even though your on a beach, they have dress code for buffett.. no front row palapas... bring your own umbrella or rent one daily or weekly...no outdoor bar area besides pool bar that closes at 7pm, no outside night time enjoyment..spent majority of our time off resort even though we were all inclusive.. alot of shopping and dining just across the street from resort which was a huge plus.

We stayed here in Sept since it is usually the "off" season & we were surprised that it was very crowded here. The pool/beach situation is horrible, people put their stuff on the chairs & never use the chairs. Every morning it was an ordeal trying to find 2 chairs & we were out there around 9. We would leave around 1-2 & still no one would show for the "claimed" chairs & forget about the pool you can't even find a chair there at all. The restaurants would say they were booked or tell you the only times available were between 8-9 pm, we walked by the one restaurant & half the seats were empty. The restaurants that we did get into were only half full so not real sure what that was about. As for drinks, we would use the pool bar during the day & at night leave the hotel & go somewhere else. I am not ok drinking with children in a bar & people thought it was okay to have their kids in there. As for the room it was nice & clean & we did have an ocean view. We wouldn't stay here again but we will definitely be back to Aruba

I was very disappointed with my recent stay. My room was not cleaned for several days, and I had to repeatedly request fresh towels. I spent a lot of money to go here Aruba is very nice but this hotel is not worth it the bed sheet were dirty when we arrived the the tv remote did not work the ac also did not work the room door was peeling of paint then in the shower the soap dispenser were broken then we you go to dinner the table clothes are all stained or ripped half the menus are missing pages I was unfortunately not pleased at all for the amount of money I spent on this trip.

Our 1st time in Aruba was great but Barcelo was just okay. Kindly greeted in the lobby w/ drinks and easy check in. 1st room we were hit w/ humid moldy air so strong we could barely breathe to notice black mold on ceilings, walls, in closet, shower and the fridge. I called front desk stating we can’t stay there. They told me they do not have any extra rooms & they would do a thorough clean while we stepped out. Then offered an upgrade room at a charge of $132 a night per person. One of the managers, Servin, came up to speak in person & the moment we opened the door he agreed we couldn’t stay in the room & he needed to take it off the listings. He put us in a temporary room for 1 night then gave us an equal room to what we booked for the remainder of our stay. The 2nd & 3rd rooms were much cleaner, yet still some detected spots of black mold in the ceiling, but at least we could breathe. We ended up getting a dinner reservation at the prime member’s restaurant. Locations great w/ shopping & restaurants right across the street. Service/staff were great. Drinks great. Food was mediocre on the resort but much better on the strip outside. The hibachi restaurant is the only one worth going to on the resort. I’ll be back to Aruba but not at Barcelo.

Upon arrival to our room, we found a clean bed, no towels in room, and someone’s toe nails all over the flour. As if it harder been swept. Two days later the hotel guest manager asked if we received or VIP package upon entering our room, which included wine and cheese additionally a later. I told home we had wine and a letter addressed to the wrong people. I also explained to our room safe was not functioning and needed to be replaced. He was apologetic and embarrassed embarrassed. He corrected the dirty floors, lack of towels, replaced safe and gave us towels. And for the inconvenience he gave a a free dinner (which was an all inclusive vacation for us anyways, so would have been free regardless). But he made an effort to correct the problem and that is what mattered to us. After going to Barceló for a few years I am realizing that their quality in there presentation, staff, rooms, food all around the quality is declining rapidly. It’s sad. Been going with a large group for 25+ years. Hope things can change an we can continue to got there.

I found blood on the sheets. Couldn’t even get a refund on the res because it was non-refundable. The hotel is very outdated and needs renovations bad. Food was not good. They also do not treat their guests the same due to royal level. Saw a group arrive and receive welcome drinks. I never received one of those. Considering I paid $2500 for this property to stay 5 nights. I AM APPALLED. The bathroom shower handle also fell off. They never restocked my fridge. Asked them to bring drinks up and they never did. This hotel sucks. :( the only good thing was the location. Even the free parking was annoying. Had to wait in a long line everytime to leave hotel with your car cuz you needed front desk to validate. Very dissatisfied with this property and not recommending to others. Very disappointed.

It is in a great area. The awful thing is the property need a huge upgrade. First room had leak in tiles and moldy smell. Second room had a broken light switch, flashing bulb, and string pot smell coming from vents. I declined cleaning service until I left and I even put the do not disturb sign outside. I was shocked when I returned late because they made the bed and changed towels. I asked if it’s normal to do that at front desk they said no but then security said yes. I didn’t appreciate the privacy issue being broken

The Barcelo is in the perfect location and access to the beach is ideal. Our room was clean, however, the temperature in the room was freezing. We did have maintenance come and make it more comfortable, but after two days someone came back and made it freezing again. Since it was our last night we let it go. We were in tower 2. We tried a new restaurant on site each night. Our favorite was the seafood/steak place (closest to beach). We also enjoyed the Mexican restaurant and the buffet. This was our first trip to Aruba, and we hope it won’t be the last!!

The hotel is pretty and very well located. It has two towers of rooms,abit massive but as most hotels. Accomodations were ok, but rooms seem a little small as per my opinion. We were three and with the extra bed, the room was too crowded. There was barely space for storage and we had to repeatedly ask for towels. Staff was mostly friendly and food was very tasty and offered varieties and gluten free alternatives. Specialty restaurants were very good, specially the one located by the pool/beach. The only thing I can mark as negative was the cleaning. Terrible timing and a horrible job (specially the bathroom), if they improve this aspect, I will surely grant them 5 stars.

My wife and I had a good experience at Barcelo Aruba on our 10th anniversary. Overall, the resort is nice and has everything you need in an all inclusive. The location is excellent with a beautiful beach and close by to many other things that makes a quick walk to shops, restaurants, bars, and excursions. A few things that could be improved: The bed in our room was worn to the point of being uncomfortable to sleep on. Room cleanliness was average. The buffet food and drinks were average, but better than some other places we’ve visited. Our two favorite reservation restaurants were Italian and Mexican. Lina (server at Mexican), Ruthie (server at Palms buffet), June (server at Hibachi) all gave excellent service! Getting a good spot on the beach means you had to get up early, claim a beach chair with towel before everyone else snagged a spot- some extra cabanas would’ve been nice as there’s not many of them. We didn’t upgrade to the royal level which means you had one outside bar option at the pool- not a big deal but you are limited without access to the bar on the beach. We’ve stayed at many Caribbean all inclusive resorts, overall the Barcelo Aruba rates about average among the rest.

This hotel needs lot to change, first, hotel is very old style and may need a new hotel manager. Reception front desk wasn’t pleasant and we did’t feel welcome. Unfortunately, the check-in process at this hotel was extremely disappointing. We arrived on time for our reservation, but had to wait over 3 hours. The front desk staff seemed unorganized and unprepared, and there was no clear communication about the delay. After a long day of travel, the lack of professionalism and courtesy made a poor first impression. While the room itself was acceptable, the check-in experience set a negative tone for the stay. Overall this was a nice stay. The food and drinks were delicious, the staff was nice, and the property is nice as well. My only issues of note was that the toilet in our room was having issues, we had to call maintenence a few times to come fix it. There was also h a day where they cleaned the room but left absolutely NO towels or washcloths in the room. We had to go down to the front after a LONG day and wait quite a while for them to get us towels so we could shower up for dinner. Otherwise everything was good.

When I checked in, there was only 1 person at the front desk so I had to wait about 20 minutes for another customer that was complaining. After traveling, people want to get to their room and get settled. When I finally got to my room, there were no towels and the fridge was not fully stocked. When I called housekeeping and the front desk, no one answered so I had to go back downstairs and ask. I left my room and came back and still had no towels. My fridge was never restocked the whole time I was there. None of the staff seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. The buffet food was not good and it was too inconvenient to have to go to the front desk to make reservations every night for dinner. Thankfully, there’s a good selection of food options across the street.

Location - Right near the town and great restaurants! Although the location is great for activities, the town was VERY loud at night. Barceló Aruba was my first all-inclusive experience and I had a wonder experience. The staff and the views were my favorite parts of my stay. The staff are so friendly and hospitable. The property itself was comfortable and clean. The views were beautiful. My only complaint is that construction was going on nearby and it was noisy. Fortunately, I could only hear it from my room when I stepped onto the balcony. It could not be heard anywhere else on the property. I am looking forward to coming back!

Property was very clean. Definitely a little older and could use some updates. But staff was very pleasant and friendly. All inclusive may not be worth it as restaurants where reservations are required were not very good. Buffets were better. Easily walkable to restaurants and shopping. Beach area was beautiful.

The food from the restaurants they offer was wayyyy better, so I recommend eating at the restaurants or eating out. Also did not have the greatest experience my last day as I got food poisoning from a burger I ordered from room service. As a frequent Traveler to Aruba I wanted to love this property but it was a major disappointment. Front desk has no idea what they are doing and rude!! Restaurants are very nice and friendly staff but only allowed to book 2 at a time. If none are available the only other choice is the buffet. Drinks were watered down and same food for breakfast and lunch buffet everyday during my stay. Don’t waste your money here.. Definitely not a 5 star
