Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt, leider nur 1 Nacht, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Mega tolles Frühstück mit allem was man sich vorstellen kann, auch Prosecco. Der Empfang, bis hin zum Autoservice ein Traum. Das Hotel ist ein Palast von Kaiserszeiten. Die Zimmer sind modern, geräumig, sauber, gehobenes Niveau und einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Gym equipment is outdated and hot and humid. Rather than that, it’s a great place to stay! The bed is very comfy and the design of the hotel is beautiful! Cruise boarding is just opposite of the hotel, super easy!

The Savoia Excelsior Palace offers a unique and elegant experience with its timeless charm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the location is excellent, walkable to almost everything and just steps away from the beach. Valet parking is available, though retrieving the car can take a little time. During our stay, only one elevator was operational, which occasionally caused delays. The lobby is absolutely stunning, and the breakfast was one of the best we've had,both in quality and variety. Our room lacked an iron and ironing board, which would have been convenient, but overall, this was a memorable and refined stay. A great choice for those who appreciate classic luxury and a prime location.

The hotel is nice but the rooms are needing some TLC. The carpets are dirty and stained and the bathroom was moudly. It is in the city centre so very close to restaurants, shops and attractions. I had arranged a cake for my partner’s 30th but it never arrived, this was disappointing.

Beautiful luxurious hotel facing the harbour. Room had great sea view but huge cruise ships dock right in front of hotel so view partially obscured when ships are in. Room very clean but there were ugly stains on the carpet where someone had spilled something - carpet should have been professionally cleaned, seeing as this is a high-end hotel and stains were unsightly. Another negative for non-Europeans is the tub/shower combo - the controls for water in the tub are in the middle as opposed to the end in north America so if using tub to take a shower at the long end of the tub, you easily bump into the tub controls - got a few bruises as a result so you need to be careful. Tub also very slippery if you are showering and they should automatically supply a non-slip mat - this is an accident waiting to happen. Hotel very close to shopping and dining. Staff great. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices. Valet parking is worth the expense because parking in the area is otherwise difficult. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is huge. We were upgraded to a larger room. Unfortunately it was opposite a bar with extremely loud music all afternoon until midnight. Oh well. Be careful when booking. If it says your room includes breakfast, take a screenshot. Impossible to fix when you are there. Overall a great stay aside from the above mentioned.

Extremely slow check in. Room was hot. They said it would cool off but it never did. Across from cruise ship and seemed to cater to cruise people. Can’t recommend it for a stay in Trieste; only if you are staying the night before or after a cruise.

Everything was very good, which is what you'd expect, given the price and the reputation. However, while I understand the idea that this is a hotel built a century ago and the tradition etc is important, I think having a shower in the bath rather than a separate shower area is a retrograde idea. This is particularly the case if your mobility is poor. In this case it's quite dangerous.

We loved our stay here. Wonderful, friendly and efficient staff. All very friendly and helpful. We had a sea view room with a balcony and it was stunning in nearly every way. Comfortable, clean, large with a modern feel. The balcony was wonderful. Just a few things in the room let it down - access to a bedside lamp and a socket on both sides on the bed for example. Not being able to control the side lights separately from the main light. Really small things, but it would have made the room perfect.

My mom and I stayed here for 3 days and it was absolutely wonderful! We got the deluxe room with a balcony and it ended up being two small balconies which we loved. The room looked out onto the water and it was breath taking! The room was large and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was so kind and helpful and we just felt like we were staying in luxury. It’s a European hotel so some stuff is old but it is extremely clean and charming. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. Don’t hesitate. Book it!

The staff barely speaks English so it was a little challenging. Also the reception desk asked me if I would like to leave a tip for the staff as an extra charge to me. I was surprised by this since gratuities and VAT taxes are usually included in Europe. It seems everyone is begging for tips and gratuities these days, I was not happy being put on the spot about tipping. This is not usual in Europe. There is a lot of confusion at this hotel with the staff as well as Trieste in general due to the language barrier.

The Savoia Excelsior Palace Trieste provided an overall excellent experience. The check in was extremelly fast. They stored our luggage for us to have lunch while waiting for our check in time. Staff was extremelly friendly and helpful. They recommended excellent places to visit within walking distance as well as dining that was superb. Great location. We felt safe walking at night. Great views, great hotel. Higly recommended!

An exquisite hotel similar to The Plaza in New York in terms of atmosphere. Room, food and restaurant service - perfect. Room was just as described. Room service made my dinner order off menu in a special way I prefer it cooked. Unfortunately, the front desk, although capable, were sometimes overwhelmed. The cruise ship passengers of two large ships flooded the hotel as they were embarking or disembarking frequently staying here the night before or after their cruise. The port is across the street and convenient. However due to thousands of guests on the hotel premises, it was tough to get a cab and there were long lines at the front desk. Frequently I just walked instead of waiting for a cab. Once the cruise ship passengers departed, it was easy to get a cab and/or interact with the intelligent front desk staff who problem solved quickly and professionally. I suggest the manager hire more front desk staff for cruise ship days or when they are flooded with guests. But again without the cruise ship guests - it’s a splendid hotel across the board and worth the price.

This is a beautiful place with lovely rooms which are very clean. The view from the front of the hotel was blocked by a looming cruise ship. Breakfast was lavish but some of the hot food, like the scrambled eggs, just wasn’t hot and some of the baked goods weren’t all that good. The staff at the front desk were mostly helpful and friendly. Overall, I expected a little more.
