Ein tolles Hotel in einem historischen Palazzo im Stadtzentrum. Anfahrt mit dem Auto etwas kompliziert aber machbar. Seitlich vom Hotel gibt es Kurzzeitparkplätze für das Ent- und Beladen des Autos. Wahlweise Valet Parking für 30 EUR/Tag oder Selbstparken in der Umgebung für 20 EUR/Tag. Zimmer sehr ruhig und gemütlich eingerichtet. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig, nur der Kaffee könnte besser sein. Vom Hotel aus ist vieles in Gehdistanz zu erreichen. Sicher eines der besten Hotels in Trieste.

The hotel is in a lovely building which retains the historic feel unlike some conversions. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bar was a beautiful room and they produced excellent cocktails. We did not use the restaurant, preferring to wander around Trieste and eat out, which offered plenty of choice. Good place to base yourself for a few days in Trieste, with buses to Miramar and around close.

Wonderful place. As you come into town (if not by car), an easy 10 - 12 minute walk from the train station. Great location in the middle of town with some great sites (Roman Theater, Serbian orthodox church, etc.) basically a stone's throw away. Ridiculously elegant bar area Attentive and helpful staff. Kind of the best of all worlds.

Amazing area. Only issue is parking, but that’s a city wide issue. Parking garage was extremely full, so had to valet park for an extra 11 euro. My recommendation is to just use valet straight away. There is no parking on site which was misleading on Expedia’s site. it’s 5-7 mins away and seems to be full most days & times. The check in and out team were amazing and made our stay.

This is a fabulous building to stay in and worth it for that reason. If you like coffee Trieste is wonderful too. But my scores as not as good as they would otherwise be and should be for this type of hotel and the price paid. Some aspects of service - including the breakfast provision (which is great) and service by those staff was excellent. But several little, mainly housekeeping things let it down - no cups in the room, having to ask twice for them to be provided, shower gel dispensers left empty, no water in the gym etc. A bit of a shame as potentially it is a wonderful place to stay.

Die Hausdame müsst ein wenig besser ihren Damen auf die Finger schauen. Sauberkeit lässt ein wenig zu wünschen übrig. Am Abend war das Wasser zum Duschen so heiss, konnte weder in der Dusche noch bei der Badewanne reguliert werden.

Beautiful lobby but room was not as clean as I expect from a Doubletree. Long black hair on white duvet, dried fluids on walls, wood floor not clean (took pics of all). Disappointing. Local candies in lobby nice touch though.

The hotel is already a bit faded and poorly maintained since its recent renovation. Paint missing in several places and the windows didn’t work properly. There was no one to help us up the front stairs with bags, the water in the shower was not hot, the breakfast was stale, and the cleaning staff was disorganized and messy, leaving dirty sheets and towels in our room on several occasions and failing to refill the supplies. Overall a pretty mediocre experience.

Generelt et fint ophold, men det kunne have fremgået, at der ikke var et “normalt” vindue på værelset. Ovenlysvinduerne kunne ikke afskærmes, og lyset om morgenen vækkede os således tidligt. Morgenmaden var fortræffelig. Rengøringen på 4. sal var ikke tilstede, hvor gulvet var meget beskidt og uhygiejnisk. Det værste var, at der var en stor plet på mit sengetøj.

A beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and excellent facilities. There was a skylight and a light well in my room, both of which could be operated remotely. I had free water and coffee in my room every day. The hotel isn't cheap but, comparatively speaking, I do think it is good value for money (I've paid more for less in other hotels). Location also good.

Hotel mit Flair und modernen Elementen, sehr schön, Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, Frühstück sehr gut und ausreichend, wir hatten ein Zimmer im vierten, letzten Stock, es war ganz neu, einziges Minus: wir hatten nur ein Dachflächenfenster über dem Bett und konnten nirgends rausschauen, nur in den Himmel, aber für eine Nacht ist das ok.

Lovely historic building in superb location. Room was clean but tiny .. not enough room to swing a cat, as they say 🙄 we travelled with a small dog 😁! Reception staff were very helpful. If you’re driving to the hotel, be aware that satnav doesn't guide you to the hotel entrance and that parking is not onsite. Secure parking is approx a 5 minute walk up a steep hill. Pets are not allowed at breakfast. Shame that the room was so small but this is not the first Doubletree small room i've stayed at...it may be a Doubletree thing.

Shower: Moderate (pressure good, heat low) Bed: Comfortable Noise: Some street noise - corner suite, motorcycle noise Ambience: Good - wonderful building Location: Excellent Paid a premium for a good room, however was very noisy on the Saturday night (possibly due to large group of motorcycles in town). Many other hotels appeared to have premium soundproofing, this one did not. Do not understand why hotels charge you the same rate for each night yet do not provide you with the first night conveniences, (eg: water, toothbrushes etc.)

Kein warmes Wasser. Dame an der Rezeption hat uns einen Techniker geschickt der meinte das Wasser läuft warm. Jedoch war es nicht mal lauwarm, als ich dem Techniker gesagt habe, „es ist Winter und draußen hat es 2C und ich werde bestimmt nicht mit kaltem Wasser duschen“ hat er nur die Augen verdreht und gesagt, die Rezeption wird sich bei mir melden. Daraufhin hat mir die Rezeption ein anderes Zimmer angeboten, jedoch habe ich dann halbe Stunde nichts mehr gehört. Daraufhin habe ich leider mit kaltem Wasser innerhalb von 2 Minuten duschen müssen. Die Dame hat sich gemeldet und gemeint dass es im ganzen Hôtel kein warmes Wasser gibt, Sie eine Notiz macht für die Kollegen, damit mir man beim bezahlen einen Discount anbietet. Beim Check out hat man mir keinen Cent nachgelassen. So einen Service habe ich noch nie erlebt. Und ich bin in der ganzen Welt unterwegs. Da ich beruflich 1-2 mal in Triest bin, werde ich dieses Hôtel in Zukunft meiden. Es ist eine Schande für die Hilton Gruppe.

Very nice stay at the DoubleTree Hilton Trieste. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and no noises from outside or neighbors. I did not have their breakfast as there are many cafés and restaurants near by to try. Location is excellent for walking around and sightseeing. The only negative remark would be the parking and valet service. The secure lot is a couple of blocks from hotel and it took up to an hour to get the car from valet, even though we asked for it for a specific time the night before. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again if I'm ever back in Trieste.

Luxurious hotel! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Great room and bathroom. Coffee maker, kettle and iron provided. Perfect location for walking to shops and restaurants. Very good breakfast in an elegant setting. Would certainly recommend!

If you have trouble with stairs and/or have heavy luggage don't stay here. There was no one to help with carrying bags up and down the stairs if you are travelling. The reception people will just stare at you while you're struggling and tell you that you should have arrived at a time when the bellboys are here if you wanted help. Just got kind of dumbfounded at the comment. The lobby was lovely. The rooms are not soundproofed you will hear people talking and trucks making noise early in the morning so you wont really get much sleep. Big disappointment really, I was excited before having the chance to visit.

We had a room with a living room area. There two tvs in the room that seemed to be synchronized with each other. When we turned the tv on the other one went on. When we turned it off; if we changed the channel or volume the tv would go back on. Reported it twice was not rectified. Restaurant was not always open for food although the hotel was full. Otherwise staff were great; breakfast was very good. location great.

Mooi hotel, propere kamer. Geen drankjes in mini bar, geen echt fruitsap bij ontbijt. Geen bad, maar douche in de kamer. Telefoon rinkelde in het midden van de nacht. Moeite met air conditioning (kamer bleef koud).
