Main pool was out of service and it was not disclosed to us until after we checked in. We had to go to the desk to inquire as to why the pool was closed only to have them offer access to a lesser pool with no Mountain View. Upon asking them for more details on when the main pool would be available, only then did they offer to waive the resort fees. This felt shady that we had to bring this up and they were not transparent with us during the check In process.

Beautiful facility. Rooms, pools, gym are all top notch. We golfed the Canyon course, which was well conditioned but I did not like the very long distances between holes (including a need to mix with live traffic) and the slow pace of play that went unchecked.

Pros: outstanding customer service! Love the fact that you can take an excellent hike right off the property and the cute nature trail to the waterfall was fun to do for a family photo. Cons: Our upgraded room looking over both city and mountains has a parking lot in front of it, lessening the beauty of the view. Should have stuck with plain Mountain View. The main pool was closed for refurbishing, and we had hoped to lounge by it as our main event. The small spa pool was open, but it was not very luxurious. We wish we’d stayed at The Westin, but the hotel did compensate us for the inconvenience, hoping we will come back when the pool is working again.

The property is undergoing renovations and it’s loud and dusty. The front desk made a change in our bill. That helped a lot brings it is costly to stay there. Removed the resort fees and credited our dining fees.

For Loews this location was not up to a typical visit to sister locations. Only good thing was the spa amenities and the access to pickle ball/tennis was great. The hotel is in a very beautiful location however the rooms that are not located in main hotel need some TLC. We switched rooms because of the AC which the staff was accommodating, but both rooms looked like they hadn’t been occupied for sometime (cobwebs, pet hair, dust, etc.) The AC was ok in the second room, but it was very loud and needs to be upgraded. You’re definitely paying for the views and location which are UH-mazing! Hotel just needs to be tended to more and upgraded (bathroom door kept getting stuck because it was so old).

Almost great! Had a couple issues, one of the power outlets next to the bed didn’t work and they couldn’t fix so we did a workaround, the slider to the balcony was very hard to close, needs a little maintenance. The other thing is the message light kept flashing, pushed the message icon on the phone and, twice the agent couldn’t find me, thought I was in a completely different resort and couldn’t shut it off, a little annoying having a flashing red light on for three days.

I purposely booked a room with a balcony because I wanted a view. Our room was listed as mountain/skyline view. It had a view of trees and the side of a hill. Truly not a mountain or skyline view and definitely not worth paying extra for.

Did not meet my expectations for $1000 for 3 nights. Our room was so far from the elevator and there is only one elevator. Very small resort pool and the room was very small and old. When walking closer to the elevator there was rooms being cleaned and those were same set up but remodeled. Not extremely family friendly either besides a movie being shown. Will not return. If you are reading this review and want a family friendly experience and more resort feeling, I would check out the Westin La Paloma. Was wanting to give this place a try and will not recommend if you want family oriented and nicer bigger rooms.

When it is quiet it is VERY quiet. Which is great. However, it also makes noises that much more jarring. And there were plenty of noises. We were awakened the first morning by a dog barking right above us. The second day there were people talking loudly below us. The final day we were woken by children running up and down the hall. I thought I'd get some good rest here, but unfortunately I sleep better at hone with three insane cats.

I really enjoyed my stay. It’s in a quiet, picturesque location right next to excellent hiking trails. The grounds are beautiful & the service was excellent. My only complaint is that you can hear a lot of noise from adjacent rooms. The rooms don’t seem to be well insulated for noise. It wasn’t much of an issue though because my neighbors were quiet most of the time.

Staff is very friendly. Hotel needs a big change lift. Food is ok, the rooms are nice but bathroom is outdated and showers are unsafe. Also there was a terrible pluming noise that woke us up in the middle of the night.

Pros: Nice room, beautiful pool, walking paths in the desert area of the hotel, wonderful and caring staff. Cons: Hotel room doors slam loudly. There is some disconnect in transferring requests to other departments. (Two examples: 1) Request didn't get to housekeeper that I needed service before a certain time. 2)breakfast room order wasn't correct. I called about it, they said room service would call me but they never did.) (I was able to talk to a housekeeper and they fit me in.) Also, drips from tub faucets should be checked and fixed. It could be a huge waste of water, especially if my room wasn't the only one.

Room wasn’t ready at check in, jacuzzi was dirty, & room service sucked. Took over an hour for each order to be delivered & never came on time. They do have a lot to offer so it’s unfortunate that they lack so much in service. Also, not one person working by the pool ever came by to offer a menu or assist in ordering drinks by the pool & they ran out of towels.

Nice but check your bill. For my stay I had a credit from Hotels.com for food $ breuvage (VIP). The hotel mentioned it to me but it was never applied. Also, we applied for a room upgrade, we had 2 choices and we got one. However, they charged us the two choices !

Exceptional in all areas. But, the billing was not clear and confusing. 3 random charges on my cc and not able to access bill. There should be one bill provided with a clear breakdown of charges that match one charge on the cc. Also, there was a password needed to access bill that was unavailable.

Location location location! Close to hiking, biking and close enough to downtown Tucson to make a run into town easy. What a gorgeous property. From the coy pond to the beautiful walking paths on the grounds, there is always something beautiful to look at. This is our 4th time saying here and every time is a wonderful experience. Staff is excellent and helpful, amenities are fabulous and the grounds are gorgeous. On site dining at the Flying V is an experience, get the guacamole, you wont be sorry! I wish we could stay here more often, its certainly our go-to place for a romantic getaway. Our 6 year wedding anniversary was made memorable this year by spending it here.

We loved staying at this property and will definitely stay again! The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The room was really clean and spacious. The grounds were incredibly beautiful. The Flying V restaurant has amazing food!

I was extremely disappointed with the dining and restaurant options. The only places to eat were two restaurants. One was fine dining where one should expect astronomical prices and reservations, the others place to eat was a combo bar/food area that only had 4 entrees and very limited selection. The resort is now specializing in conferences and corporate meetings. We traveled to restaurants in the city for most of our stay.

The resort is beautiful and we hiked to the waterfall. We ordered in room breakfast and it was very iffy. I ordered the pastry basked because it sounded so good but was very mediocre. The crescents were like from Costco and the pastries were not fresh. Very disappointing. The guys outside were all very nice and helpful. All in all a very nice resort.

Absolutely beautiful property and desert experience. Rooms are very nice. Food was just mediocre in breakfast area, pool and bar lounge area. Staff in breakfast and bar area were stressed and inattentive during our visit. Would stay again in hopes of a more well rounded experience. The nature trail and waterfall was amazing.

This resort is so beautiful and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is exquisite. We had an amazing meal at Flying V and the Sunday Blues, BBQ Brunch was beyond belief—everything one could want and more-with attentive service and outstanding food. Compliments to the chefs!

The room was nice, from the comfort of the bed to the amenities. Disappointed that the mountain view we upgraded to was a hill viewable from the patio. Also disappointed that no dining options were available after 10 pm, including in-room dining. Staff was very attentive.

The setting of this hotel is amazing. Beautiful views and a lovely walking path to a waterfall. Staff all so friendly. The Sunday buffet is one of the best we’ve ever experienced.

This is a great place. The staff were wonderful, room was very nice, restaurant (Flying V) was excellent, everything was great. Would highly recommend.
