Our room was basic and the bed comfortable. The bed linens were clean but shabby with holes in the edges of the coverlets. We were provided with two very thin bath towels, one was worn bare in the middle. We asked for 4 towels and the two we had were replaced with two more. The advertised pool was closed and locked for safety reasons, since 2 months prior. Breakfast was waffles, Cheerios or Raisin Bran cereal, or yoghurt. No toast. Out of fruit. Parking was difficult but included in an area where parking is very scarce and pricey, so appreciated.

The price and location were the best parts of this place! The perfect midtown location for my trip, I’m not an avid walker but everything I needed was within walking distance. Other reviews mention that the rooms are small, but as I was traveling alone this wasn’t an issue. The place hasn’t been updated in a while but the rooms are clean and they have everything you’d need. Check in/out was super fast. The pool, unfortunately was closed due to a failed inspection so we were unable to use it during our stay. I will be staying here again for my next trip.

The room was clean, quiet and we felt safe. The breakfast was a good start to the day. The desk staff were polite and helpful. The grounds were not as clean. I think power washing would be good. The pool area was dirty. The lounge chairs were not useable because they were very dirty. The ground was dirty around the pool, so you could not be barefoot.

We chose this hotel for the location and free parking. It is one block from the UC Davis Pavilion "Music Circus" venue, our destination for a musical. Lots of restaurants within ten minute walk. Though an old hotel, the room was fine: bed was comfy etc but so old there are no USB ports and the necessary (110 degree day) air conditioning is loud.

The outside of the property was a bit scary and the pool looked gross. They have gates to swipe in to the stairwells to make rooms safer which was appreciated. Customer service was lacking in friendliness but got the job done. The room itself was huge, impressively clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I would stay there again. Recommended, as long as you know what to expect.

To Expensive to not have a working ice machine. To Expensive to not let me swim after 9pm. To Expensive to not have a soda machine or snack machine. The AC was so loud that I left at 2am. Im very disappointed that this place cost so much. The office was in the back. Hard to see it was opened. Not safe feeling.

I chose the hotel based on being able to park a 9' tall van and that worked out well. It is also reasonably walkable. The room surfaces seemed clean, but the carpet was disgusting. I did not ever walk barefoot in the room.

Loudest room I've ever stayed in. Cleaning people wanted to clean the room at 930am. Cockroach on the bed!!! One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in and I never do reviews. Staff was kind, but didn't seem too concerned over the roach.

For an older hotel, everything was very clean. The room had all the amenities needed and more. The service was excellent. The free breakfast was also a nice perk. Also, keep in mind the parking is free which is not something offered at all the hotels. For a budget friendly hotel in this area, I was very happy with the value, service, and cleanliness. I plan to stay here again in the future.

We selected this hotel because of location. It is one block from the UC Davis Pavilion where we saw a show. However, the building is old, there is trash in the stairwell, the air conditioner is very loud, and the curtains do not keep the light out at night.

I recently stayed here for a convention at the Safe Union Convention Center. It was a very convenient location and it is close to the front entrance on the convention center. It was clean and had plenty of towels. The air conditioning worked well and the parking lot was easy to get in to and free of garbage. The room itself was not terrific. You could tell the paint in the room had been touched up many times, and the bathroom door had to be kicked closed. You could see light through the front door when it was closed. However, there was a locked key entry gate securing the elevator and we never felt unsafe. It was quiet at night and the price was right. Staff was polite. The distance to the convention center definitely was a huge plus. If you are looking for a place to just sleep with no frills, this was decent.

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice. Check in was super easy. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The walls are dated, for example paint chipping and cracked. The shower head in our bathroom sprayed out to the right side so I had to make sure the curtain was closed all the way. The building is safe, you need your key card to get in the elevator and the stairwells lock from the inside. I would stay here again. It's in a good location

Room was clean and comfortable, although it would have been nice if there was a living room type chair to relax in. Room service every morning was great. The toilet paper holder was broken, but other than that everything worked. Would have been nice to have a larger television. Continental breakfasts were below average. Parking for my Bronco with a rooftop tent was difficult but doable. Weeknights were quiet. But weekend nights were not. The thumping base from the loud music being played at the bar across the street, which started sometime after 10:00 PM and didn't end until almost 2:00 in the morning, made it difficult to sleep.

Arrived at 11 pm, front desk manager couldn’t be bothered to check me in. Took me 15 minutes for her to simply give me a key. Very unfriendly and got to the point I was about to get a different hotel because she was taking so long. Not even exaggerating. Usually it’s a 2 minute process. She was watching tv while doing it

The front desk man gave us “our room” and when we went to go inside our supposed room, someone else’s stuff was in that room already. The man had literally given us keys to someone else’s room. I found that highly unsafe not only for me and my partner but for the other person safety.

Breakfast was free but there weren’t too many food options. I also had a late flight back and needed to do something with my luggage for a couple hours after the 11am checkout time, but the hotel told me they don’t store luggage, and I had to pay a good deal to extend the checkout time. It was also odd and frustrating that when I went down to the front desk around normal checkout time trying to figure all this out, at first the door was locked and no one was at the front desk to let me in. I had to wait for a while until finally the guy opened the door for me.

Average hotel, convenient location. The staff member who completed the check-in was very nice, however the overnight employee was extremely rude and not friendly, accused us that we were being loud and guests were complaining, however the guests that were complaining were on the opposite side of the hotel from us and were referring to others. We were running a little behind with checking out, and checked out 30 minutes after we were supposed to (11:30a) and received a rude phone call and a an obnoxious knock right after the phone call.

Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable. The place is secure which is not taken for granted in Sacramento. Really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast included waffles, yogurt and cereal which is more than we expected. Couldn't get the TV to work but that's a really minor thing. 9.9/10 will come again

The hotel was conveniently located near the Safeco convention center where our church conference was taking place. The hotel has free parking, and we could just walk to the center. First sent to a room that was obviously under maintenance or remodel, night clerk had no idea. Room was clean. Room was relatively quiet with air conditioner on. Room was fine. Breakfast (free) was a joke. Fruit gone in the first hour, toaster made me believe there once must have been bread, but no sign for two days. Cereal there in first hour, gone in 3rd hour. No meat, no eggs, no muffins/donuts/bagels, nothing to eat but self made waffles. I had yogurt for each day and luckily had breakfast available at conference one day. With your advertising for free breakfast, I could not get a real breakfast and be reimbursed because I was already noted as having a free one.

Check in went smoothly. I told the young man i mostly chose this site because they had the waffles & buffet breakfast. We were extremely disappointed. The pictures show a full buffet with several juices, bagels, toast, pastries, three covered dishes, which usually means bacon or sausage, eggs, hash browns, waffles, coffee. We got there at 8:10 & they had coffee with lots of french vanilla creamer ( I am allergic) & about 6 half & half. The waffle machine with watered down batter that I asked to be replaced because it wouldn't cook & made a mess. When he replaced it, it was still to thin & made gummy waffles. No sugar free syrup for diabetics. They had some apples, some packets of instant oatmeal, skim milk in a caraft, Activa yogurt, hard boiled eggs & butter & i think maybe 1 kind of juice (if any). No toaster, no hot breakfast, no bagels, bread or pastries. I had to ask him to make more coffee

It was okay. The room had everything I expected, it was relatively clean, the beds were nice. The paint in the bathroom needed to be tended to (peeling & cracking in places). The breakfast choices were limited, but the waffle maker beats the powdered eggs some other places have. Overall it was fine.

lot's of homeless people around the property, also some sketchy people passing through the backstreet all the time. Breakfast is pretty light.
